What a treat! My daughter and I had wanted to try this place for sometime and we finally did. It has a small parking lot, we had no problem finding a space. It is predominantly carry out, but there is some outside seating with misting for hot days. We were welcomed in and all our questions about the menu answered by the helpful staff. Deciding to sit outside, we started with a Entree Salada Casa, the shareable sized salad that had mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, red onion, olives, mango and their house lemon vinaigrette. My daughter chose the fettuccini with Formaggio sauce while I chose cheese ravioli with La Rosa sauce. Our entrees came with a roll. We both had enough to take half home with us. Plus, we left room to get a bambini sized gelato to share. Our all time favorite flavor Stracciatella, sweet cream chocolate chip. A perfect ending to a lovely meal. read more

Lovely Gal who helped and served me. A small restaurant where there were tables on the patio outside, no room inside to sit. I tried a few of the Gelatos and decided on Vanilla and Strawberry, they were delicious. The menu is extensive with sandwiches, pasta and some desserts, like Cannolis. The gal suggested I get the Lasagna, as they make it "In House", which was a nice size portion. It had sausage and meat in layers of pasta, with a Fabulous Sauce. Sorbetto was delicious! The pizza was not. We ordered the veggie pizza. Some of the veggies were burnt and the middle of the pizza was not fully cooked, very doughy. The sauce could also use a bit more flavor. Maybe other pizzas are better. It was very busy so maybe things were rushed. We barely ate the pizza. It really wasn't appetizing. I had to give 1 start. I ordered Abruzzi for 18.00. The crust is HORRIBLE i mean I cant even bite and it was hard to peel the crust like rubber. Very shocked. I dont know why they made it like that. This was a very cute Italian deli and gelato shop, and it was packed when we visited. We ordered gelato but were a bit disappointed in the flavors. The texture of the gelato was perfect, but none of the flavors we tried tasted very good. The vegan cinnamon tasted like root beer for some reason, and the birthday cake gelato was like eating a spoonful of frosting from the can. Everything we sampled just seemed a bit too sweet and lacked complexity. They were very busy and seem to have many fans, so maybe the gelato just wasn't our preference. read more

This was such a GREAT find! I am GF-DF, but I love meat. The GF-vegan trend is not helpful to me. This deli had compliant food that was so fresh. Plus, they help you with the menu! If you are a gelato lover, the gelato looked wonderful! They didn't have my preferred flavor--Vegan Chocolate, so I passed. 3 of us had sandwiches which were delicious but hard to eat as the bun was cut through and everything was falling out- they resorted to forks. First - the pizza is amazing - Chef Paul and his team knock thier version of thin pizza out of the park. The egg plant and meatballs are top quality as well - whether on a hoagie sandwich or as a plate you cannot go wrong with either. This brings me to the Italian Beef sandwich - I know it's from Chi Town but the best of the best can't compete with this version. Cannoli! Real deal, Italian deli (owner Paul actually came from my hometown of Nutley, NJ). Beside the great gelato (BTW 2 flavors are vegan) they have some incredible Italian delicacies including sandwiches, soups, pasta, and pastries. Clearly authentic, but not good. Let's start with what they do right: They're clearly authentic Italian food and add diversity to Fort Collins' food scene. The portions are generous. The prices are fairly reasonable. They make their pasta by hand. Now to what I didn't like: The gelato is ok, but real gelato should never be brightly colored. Real gelaterias use only natural ingredients and therefore the product should always be earth-toned with deep berry colors. The food is mixed. Like I said, the pasta is handmade but the chicken in their cacciatore is clearly frozen (given how spongy its texture is) and so are the mussels in their fraviadolo. The real problem with Gelato and Amore is not their gelato, frozen ingredients, or their seasoning, but with how the owner treats his staff. While having dinner there, I overheard the cook say he had worked a twelve hour shift. I glanced over my shoulder saw that he had bags under his eyes. When I got home and looked it up, I found their business listing on Indeed and saw that many of their employees have similarly cited being overworked. But don't take it from me, take it from the Indeed reviews left my the employees. Until Gelato & aMore treats their employees better and improves the quality of their ingredients, I won't be back. read more

Everything was great. I had linguine and Rosa sauce, with garlic bread and a gelato bambino appetizer! Yes, eat dessert first. The portion was enough for me for two meals and was delicious.
