We tried the (dairy free) dark chocolate + cookie jar. Both were good, but didn't wow us. Seating is tight (4 seats by the window + a bench), Flavors are good/unique - especially if you are dairy free! Fair prices - we each got a small & felt like the portion was worth the price!!

I came to this location on the 9+CO shopping area just off Colorado Blvd. The nearby parking garage is still free and gets my car out of the sun. They still offer 9 flavors of gelato + 4 dairy free versions. Most are gluten free. I got a great Coffee Chip milkshake with 3 scoops and Oat Milk for $9.95 + tax. Very creamy. They served it with a fat straw. Clean floors and blond wood bench. They offer pup cups.

Fantastic Ice Cream shop in the 9+CO area. If you know the area, parking is hit or miss depending on the time of day. Great ice cream with very inventive flavors. All of the flavors really shine through. The service is stellar and the place is clean. Not a ton of seating space, more like a bench across the back to sit and a few seats by the window. A bit on the pricier side but you can tell that they source quality ingredients.

Great location! Can grab and walk around in a very cute neighborhood. The service was very knowledgeable. The gelato was amazing! But very expensive. I got: Lavender poppy seed - so good if you like lavender Gooey butter cake and caramel - hands down the winner. So good!

Nope, not for me. Even with the 50% off coupon I got via email, my visit to this location of Gelato Boy wasn't worth the time/money. I stepped into the store only to find that the store was manned by two young female and male workers who were extremely unenthusiastic. The young lady barely said hello (the other uttered no words). There was no effort whatsoever to help me with questions such as "Have you been here before?" or "Let us know if you have any questions", ; they did absolutely nothing where they kept staring at me until I picked what I would want to have. The young woman took my order where she transacted the purchase. The other male worker was the one who put the two flavors (of my choice) into the small size cup which he slid it so it would reach me where I was standing. And of course, he said no words. These youngsters had no customer service skills or whatsoever. I sat at the window to eat my ice cream. And I wasn't impressed with either of the flavors (although the Coffee Chip was a slightly better than the Salted Cookies + Cream.) Their gelato is mediocre at best. It's pretty clean inside however and yet if that is the only positive thing about this place then I WILL NOT RETURN ever again.

This place is always a gem to visit! The staff is always super friendly and the gelato is always great! They let you try their new seasonal flavors, and the 2 scoop is the perfect size. They don't have any crazy decor, but the gelato speaks for itself. They have indoor seating, but there is a park right by where you can enjoy your ice cream too! I believe they also do flights if you have a friends that want to try a bunch of flavors! Definitely will continue to come here.

I'm such a fan of cute places and anytime you add gelato to the mix, I'm all in. We stopped by Gelato Boy on our way back to the car, after having a great lunch. You always have room for dessert, right? A couple of things I really loved about Gelato Boy - first, they use real tasting spoons and are helping to reduce the plastic waste that is never recycled and ends up in our landfills. Such a small change with a massive impact. KUDOS. While we're talking about said small spoons, I used many of these to taste several flavors. How nice is it to be able to sample new flavors, like I did, and then also choose some of your tried and true tastes? Thank you! I was feeling luxurious so had my two scoops in a waffle cone (not too crunchy and with a nice flavor). I choose tried and true, Milk and Cookies but I did taste and love their limited edition: Cornbread and Strawberry Jam (total winner)! And, just in case you're curious, Gelato Boy sources their milk locally and doesn't use growth hormones or antibiotics. Just like using real spoons, they care. Can't eat dairy? No worries, they have vegan offerings. And, they never use artificial flavors, preservatives, or off the shelf mixes. Ummm, YAY. And, head's up - you can get this gelato delivered to your door and you can find it in select grocery stores. Eek! I will be back and will likely bring some great flavors home when I'm grocery shopping next :)

I can try and find faults in this place, but they are not substantial enough to give it anything but a five for a rating. I keep finding myself coming here, so it seems to be some subconscious five regardless. The staff has always been incredibly energetic and welcoming whenever the wife and I go there. One time, I was mad at myself for not ordering the monthly special, and the staff person gave me a scoop on the house of it. I just had sensory overload when ordering. I had the cookie jar and their ridiculous flavor this last time. The ridiculous flavor is gooey butter cake and caramel, and that alone is a good reason to go. It is as good as it sounds. The flavors are creative, and there are two rotating flavors each month that are equally as creative. My two digs on the place are nit-picky. I wish they rotated in more flavors than two a month or more frequently, and I wish they had a really small portion, as their small is $6. I like getting tiny kid portions at other places. Another great thing they do, which I haven't seen anywhere else, is offer all of the dietary options with multiple flavor choices. Gluten free options, dairy free options, etc., all notated clearly on the menu. And you can't beat the neighborhood it is in, as Tennyson is a really awesome street to explore. Definitely recommend, and see you there...

I came here for dessert after having Chinese food for dinner nearby... Service here was great, the young girl was very helpful and let me try a few flavors. They had several flavors that were very appetizing sounding, including their dark chocolate which is not made with dairy. I ultimately decided on strawberry and it was really good.

We were leaving 3 Margaritas Mexican restaurant for dinner and wanted something for dessert. Gelato boy was right next door. We were pleasantly surprised about all the flavors. I have been on a Lavendar kick since my visit to Denver. The young man provided me a sample of Lavendar poppy and I needed to not to try any other samples. I got the size smaller than the small, which was 1 flavor. That was just right for me. I think this lil nook shop probably gets over looked because of the busy street it's on. But if you happen to be on the block needing a sweet treat they will take care of you.

Stumbled upon Gelato Boy by accident while walking to pick my dog up from daycare and boy howdy, what a lovely surprise on a gorgeous spring day! A lot of fun sounding flavors, but I'm a sucker for all things tiramisu and upon learning their caramelized Tiramisu flavor was going away soon (and that it was the employees favorite whom I spoke with), opted for that and a scoop of chocolate hazelnut in a waffle cone. Everything was delicious! Service was great and the spot was clean. Not a ton of seating and the price was a bit steep, which is the bigger reason why I can't hand out a 5 star review. Would totally come back though!

During our Denver stay, we came to this place two days in a row! The chocolate hazelnut and peanut butter brownie is an absolute chef's kiss! Super delicious treat!

This gelato is no joke, and so delicious! Parking the area isn't bad, which makes this a great after dinner stop for anywhere on 9+CO. They have some great flavors, but the gooey butter caramel won my heart. The gelato here is smooth and perfect too. I highly recommend adding a waffle to it! They warm it up and it goes perfectly with the ice cream. read more

When I think of gelato, I think of looking through a case at fancy designs, then getting a small scoop for a high price. Gelato boy changes this up by skipping the fancy designs and trades it in for great tasting, massive scoops of gelato. Plus, for all the lactose intolerant folks out there, they have plenty of dairy free options to keep you off the pot and feeling great. It's right in the center of the 9th and Co district, so might as well grab some after dinner, a movie, or just because you're feeling it. read more

I felt that the gelato itself had a nice consistency to it and was soft and gooey (i.e. no freezer burn or hasn't been sitting around). To me, it really depended on the flavor on whether I liked it or not. Of course, this comes to personal preference but without tasters it's a bit of a leap of faith. The poppy was good for example but I didn't love the nutella. There is a nice selection while not being overwhelming. I would like to try some of the other flavors. This place is more of the 'once in a while' treat as I feel the prices are bit high for what you're getting. Almost $5 for a small feels really steep. read more

Great gelato! Great service! A person in my group has as pistachio allergy and the workers were super accommodating and understanding. We went two nights in a row on our trip and I tried the Dairy-Free Strawberry and the Black Raspberry Chip, both were really good. The actual store was very clean and had options for both outdoor and indoor seating. read more

The best icecream I have EVER had. I am diary intolerant so there are very veryyyy few diary products I'll allow myself to have (though I believe they have diary free options) but the Gooey Caramel out weighs any consequence I may experience. This flavor, and honestly all their flavors, are so phenomenal that even if I was allergic to diary in a more severe manner I would risk it all for a scoop (with a side of their churro waffle ofc) Plus my pup is a BIG fan of the vanilla bean. 20/10 gelato 20/10 customer service. Every single employee makes you feel welcomed. 10/10 reasonable prices. Like EXTREMELY reasonable pricing. read more

Great option for gelato, including several dairy-free options. We lean towards the pistachio and the salted caramel but there are also chocolate and fruit flavors, with a few sorbets thrown in. Street parking can be tough but there's free garage parking a block away, entrance on Albion between 8th and 9th. Counter service with a few stools inside and limited seating outdoors when the weather's nice. read more

I'm so excited this opened in the neighborhood! Their gelato is some of the best around, and the flavors are so fun. I'm also really impressed with the gluten-free options, as my husband has celiac. They have an option of gluten-free cones, waffles, and brownies, and their cookies and cream gelato is also gluten-free - and delicious. Their dairy-free options look incredible too. Their vanilla is a stand-out (!), and I've also loved the frosted carrot cake, straccia-newtella, and gooey butter cake and caramel. It's a little pricey at $5 for the smallest, but you get two flavors. I can't wait to try more! read more

Quite pricy ($8.30 with tax for a regular sized to-go portion) but interesting flavors (lavender poppy, earl grey - yum!), creamy consistency and friendly staff. Also, relative to other gelato places, I agree with other reviewers that the portions are decent. It's a convenient stop for something sweet after dinner or a movie in the Colorado & 9th area. read more

Ok I have never been in but I've ordered some delivery ice cream a few times and I was quite surprised at how delicious this was. So back when we would go to visit our Uncle in the little town of Stuttgart (Germany) there was a gelato spot we would always go to and the Hazelnut was always my favorite scoop to get. Their Newtella reminds me just of those fond childhood memories! I honestly can't even believe that it's fairly *lower* in calories than some other ice creams. I'm guessing that's because they use real premium ingredients; either way I'm not complaining. If you are craving gelato or a sweet treat you must go here. You will not be disappointed! read more

As someone who has a food allergies, I so appreciate when a restaurant indicates allergens existing in menu items on the menu itself. Gelato Boy is all over that! Truly, I wish all businesses serving food had this information posted because it saves people suffering from food allergies from having to ask questions about every little detail in a particular entrée. Not to mention that the ice cream is delicious! Gelato Boy has definitely won me over. read more

Good gelato, friendly staff. The salted cookies and cream was great for the first few bites, but as I kept eating it got to be too salty for me. Stracciatella was good. Mint choc chip was okay. There were some interesting flavors in the freezer section that I would've loved to try (mango lassi) but it would have turned into a sad melty mess by the time we got home. I would come again though. read more

I don't write reviews too much but I LOVE gelato boy. Why? Good mix of flavors (their 4 seasonal rotations keep my coming back practically at least monthly), not too sweet and thus amazing calories (like only 600 ish for an entire pint of limoncello ARE WE SERIOUS? Ice cream is easily dbl this), love that they offer Affogatos, their special dry run pint deals are AMAZING ($5 for a pint of last months flavors), and they offer a good bit of DF flavors that still taste delicious! My husband and I go and split a flight (6 scoops) everytime. My fav flavors (I've tried them all)= salted cookies and cream, lavender poppy, limoncello. I've turned so many ppl onto this place bc I want them to stay around forever! read more

This location has horrible customer service. I've been in 3 times since they opened, and have been disappointed each time. The Covid rules are inconsistent and not enforced kindly. There is literally no sign or mention that they do not accept cash until the very end, so I had to leave after they scooped my ice cream. It's funny though because they have a tip jar! You're also not allowed to remove your mask...even to try a flavor of ice cream. The cashiers are rude on top of everything. This place really sucks the joy out of getting ice cream read more

I personally decided to try a small cup with 2 flavors. SALTY O's Just like it says, Salty O's is salty. I expected a slightly less salty flavor like flavors such as salted caramel do, but it was almost a bit too much salt content inside an otherwise very sweet flavor. I almost regretted getting this flavor because with each bite, the salt was getting a bit overpowering. BANANA PUDDING This was probably my preferred flavor of the two. It didn't necessarily have a strong banana flavor punching through, but it was the right amount of sweetness that I wanted in an ice cream flavor.

The shop is small, very busy and highly efficient with regard to service. A good selection of different combinations were available along with plenty of samples. The raspberry chocolate chip ice cream in a pretzel cone was an easy choice. The raspberry flavor was bold and the chips were plentiful. It was a delightful combination. The pretzel cone was good but very hard and I felt it detracted from the scoop. If you are interested in good ice with unique flavors, give Sweet Cow a chance.

Now let me talk about the ICE CREAM, because wow. Six people, multiple flavors between us, and not one single complaint -- which if you know my family, is basically a miracle. Everything was rich, creamy, and tasted completely homemade in the best possible way. But the thing that absolutely sent me over the edge? BANANA PUDDING. Multiple banana pudding options. I grew up in the South and I have been low-key grieving the lack of banana pudding culture everywhere else I've lived, and here it is -- in Denver, Colorado -- done absolutely right. I may have embarrassed myself slightly. No regrets. This is a Black woman-owned business and these two have built something truly special. That evening, I was craving pho. Pho 92 came recommended and I was immediately drawn to the clear broth in the photos while researching Yelp for Vietnamese food. It was a Thursday evening when we arrived at Pho 92, and the restaurant was packed. It was loud, with staff bustling about and patrons enjoying their meals. The aroma of the pho broth was just as I had hoped for a busy restaurant. We waited approximately 10 min for a table. The staff were pretty efficient and looked to have a good system going for bussing tables. Hailing from CA, I am no stranger to good pho, and this place hit the spot. I'm so glad I decided to get the regular instead of the large, because wow those portion sizes were indeed huge. My husband made the "mistake" of ordering the combination vermicelli bowl, and it came packed with tender proteins and crispy egg rolls. That just meant for some delicious leftovers (that actually reheated perfectly). The pho broth was as clear as I had imagined from looking at other patrons' photos. It still had a good depth of flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had been a long travel day for us, so I didn't want oily soup. (Sometimes I do enjoy rich, oilier pho broth, but not that night.) The pho came with a plethora of herbs, which I of course used all of. Be warned that their chili oil is very spicy, which I accidentally put too much of without first trying (oops). I generally don't go to the same spot twice during a trip, as I enjoy trying out different local businesses, but Pho 92 would have been a spot I'd return to again if we had had the time and if I had wanted pho again. Their menu is huge, so there are plenty of dishes to choose from to satisfy your cravings, whatever those might be for any given day. We will definitely be back the next time we visit CO!
