This was my second time visiting. My nail technician Christie did an amazing job on my nails -- she was detail-oriented, professional, and made sure everything looked perfect. My brother's nail technician, Phoebe, was also wonderful and did an excellent job.The little hand-painted cat paw prints are absolutely adorable, and my chrome nails are so shiny they look like little light bulbs! We're all completely obsessed with them. The service was outstanding from start to finish. My favorite nail studio ever I've been coming here since they first opened on Amar Rd, and I honestly can't imagine going anywhere else. I've had appointments with just about every nail tech here, and every single one has been incredibly talented, hardworking, and attentive. They always listen to what I want while also offering helpful suggestions when I'm unsure. What really keeps me coming back is the retention on my Gel-X nails. No other salon has come close. My sets regularly last 5+ weeks, and the longest I've pushed them was 6 weeks because I couldn't get an appointment sooner. Not a single nail popped off! That alone speaks volumes about the quality of their work. The team is always so sweet and welcoming, and the salon itself is cute, clean, and comfortable. I am only sharing my experience in hopes they treat returning customers better in the future. I have been an always on time customer for a year now and was disappointed in the way the owner performed service today. I had stuff to take care of out of town and had bad luck with traffic due to coming from LA. I communicated to the staff by text message about my ETA to assure I can still be seen. Was told they charge $5 fee for being late but then they said $15 then $10. So I asked if I could just reschedule to not burden their schedule. (My appointment was at 5pm which is the latest with no one after me). I was informed I had to do it 48 hours in advance and would lose my $30 deposit and would need to put another one to reschedule. Which I can understand if I was a person who was late before in the past, but this was my first time ever. I expressed my disappointment to them, and was told I would get a one time exception to pay a $5 late fee if I wanted to still come today. So I went because I would be mad if they made me pay another deposit. The girl I scheduled couldn't do my hands , she had to pick her kid up. I understood, owner ends up doing my nails, She wanted to remove the prior nail bed down completely, when I only needed the surface removed to remove the color. I declined and asked nicely if she can just sand off the color. She did but then never applied new gel to my out grown nail bed. She misunderstood what I was asking for and only painted a coat over it and then went straight to the color. I asked to clarify before adding the color, and she said it wouldn't be needed because of saying I like my nails thin ‍ again me trying to be understanding and not making her fix it I just said ok, but asked if the price was gonna be different since I wasn't getting applied new retention and she straight said "no its the same price " which just made me more disappointed. Not only am I getting a late fee but also a half done manicure. I don't think I'll be returning again. I would hope they would treat returning, on time customers with grace. It was horrible and awkward to want to go back and it's such a shame because I truly appreciated their work. **In response to the owner: No, I was not 40 mins late. I was 30 mins late and you charged me $55 for a half done manicure that chipped in 1 day. I've updated my review from 2 stars to 1 after seeing you lie in your reply. Shame on you** read more

I had been a client here for about a year and previously had good experiences with the service itself. I always arrived on time, tipped consistently, and was reasonable during appointments. I communicated my preferences politely and trusted the technician's recommendations. This appointment was with a technician I had only recently started seeing. During the appointment, I mentioned that chrome has tended to lift on me in the past. The technician reassured me that she would make sure it would not happen. After this visit, I tried to book another appointment via text but was informed that I would no longer be able to book with them and that they may not be the best fit for the style and level of detail I was looking for. This was unexpected, as I had never expressed dissatisfaction with their work, argued over services, requested refunds, or asked for reworks. I was also never made aware of any concerns during previous appointments and did not experience any issues at the time of service. I have even referred others during my time as a client. I would have appreciated being informed during the appointment if there were any concerns regarding fit or expectations, rather than finding out abruptly when I needed another appointment. She trimmed my cuticles carefully and I noticed when she applied the gel builder she made sure to cover the full nail. I've been to some places where they are moving so fast, they miss covering the full nail. She constantly checked if I was doing okay and wanted any adjustments. Had a facial Pro Target Treatment today with Vivi. They used Dermalogica skincare line and it was amazing! Vivi was so gentle and her voice was so soothing. It felt like live ASMR. Okay, I've been coming here for 2 years and I've never, ever been disappointed. PARKING: Parking is either street or in the small plaza it's connected to. The nail salon is sort of hidden, it's facing the street but you'll see a sign leading to it. It's not in the main part of the plaza. SEATING: There's about 3 nail techs here but there's room to be comfortable. The most people that I've seen with myself included are 6 people, so 3 clients with their respective nail tech. The TV is always on with something fun. I've watched so many interesting movies here. SERVICE: I am so unbelievably lucky to have found this place! I'm so lucky to have Coco as my nail tech because she does wonders. The ideas I present to her always come out looking just like the inspiration picture but better! She always gives me sparkling water. She always asks if the colors are okay and if I like the way it's all going. Coco always takes her time with me and never makes me feel like I'm just another customer. I feel like this is also the motto with the other nail techs here as well. They want their work to represent their salon. It's definitely represented by the end of the appointment with beautiful nails. The salon is upfront with their pricing and they always tell you what something costs. You can always ask beforehand what the design you want will cost. They also have set prices on some things such as French tip, ombre, etc etc, but I forgot to take a picture. I almost didn't want to write this review because I'm afraid Coco would get booked up even quicker. But if she does, I want all the success for her and this salon. From what I observed ALL THREE that were there today are great at what they do! - First, I booked my appointment same day and called in, the lady pick up INSTANTLY, I was not ready. They were able to squeeze me in at the end of the day. - Next, place is a hidden GEM. The lady who booked my appointment sent me a video on how to get to their business. When I walked in I saw that the room is cute and small, only 3 nail stations but is clean, not crowded, and comfy. The TV was playing a show, I was engaged the whole 2 hours! - THE QUALITY AND CARE IS WONDERFUL. I could tell that every nail tech that was there cared about their work and MADE SURE their clients are happy with the results. They constantly ask if everything looks okay. My nail tech offered to swatch 3 colors because I was conflicted on which color I wanted. - They had so many options, cute colors, nail extension lengths, and MANY CHROME OPTIONS. - Time: It didn't feel like I was being rushed (like in other nail salon places that accept walk-ins). Probably the best nail studio in the area! I don't have a set nail technician that I go to but all the ladies that I have gotten are skilled. The only down side is that my nails constantly break. I do gel polish on my natural nails and I'm not sure if they don't apply it thick enough but literally EVERY single time,at least one nail chips or breaks. It's frustrating cause I've spent so long to grow them out. I actually had to go back once because one broke off completely after 2 days. I'm able to bend my nails with the gel polish so I've asked them to put builder gel but again, the edges of my nail still chipped because it wasn't applied properly. Two nails chipped this time around When I get them done in Korea they apply enough layers so my nails just grow out without chipping or breaking but it does feel much thicker. I'll continue to go back but will just have to let the technician know my concerns! read more

She was very detailed and checked with me at every stage of the process to make sure I liked it. I absolutely love how my nails turned out! The studio was very quaint and quiet. They did have the TV on in the background, but the volume was not that loud. It was very calming and peaceful. Coco didn't talk much, but neither did I. But I'm not so sure if I feel comfortable coming in the salon ... maybe I am not a match for this salon. :( This is my first time getting my nails done ever in a salon, so excuse me if I sounded a little ignorant. I came in with my bestie to the salon, the salon let me know that my bestie's nail tech wouldn't make it today so Phoebe would cover. Love the professionalism! The salon was clean, cute, bright, and cozy. I came in with a positive attitude, with a lot of photos. Maybe the way I explained things was difficult but thinking back, I feel like I could have had a better experience and the vibe could have been more friendly.. I asked for a drawing of Pikachu on my thumbs and did my best to explain what I wanted. I can tell from her face that there was a little bit of a language barrier? Or maybe she didn't understand? Not sure... but I provided pictures of the Pikachu I wanted and pictures of rest of the nail set that I wanted. As the nail techs were doing our nails, my bestie and I were watching the movie they provided. It was then when Coco said something to Phoebe in Chinese, I couldn't hear it all but we both clearly heard "Pikachu ... (something I couldn't hear) ... so specific (I didn't hear the rest)." This is when I felt SUPER discouraged. I feel like if she wasn't comfortable with doing it, I wish she just told me. I had plenty of photos and I was willing to have something else done. I can understand a little bit of Chinese so I responded back in Chinese saying that Pikachu is my favorite (Pikachu 最喜歡） to keep the mood light, but really, I was feeling very unwelcomed. She gave me 2 prices, one if she couldn't do the Pikachu and one if she did. This is my first time having my nails done, so maybe I should have just changed my mind altogether but the vibe was so tense that I just agreed - I didn't want to give her anymore problems about changing the whole set if she's already talking about what I wanted (in a negative way). But in my opinion, I didn't think it was fair that I was waiting anxiously whether she can do the Pikachu drawing until the end when I could have just gotten an answer and I could have referred to the other 20 photos on my phone instead.. having one nail off would have changed the entire request In the end, she did the nails well and was able to do what I asked but I noticed whenever I had questions throughout the session, I was ignored. Sometimes, Phoebe would answered them for me but I already felt that my experience wasn't answered with friendliness so when she was done, I just tried to leave immediately. The nails are cute, I feel like in the end I wanted to have one of the nails changed from the set but I was already too discouraged to say anything. I was prepared to pay $100ish, but having to pay more than that and to leave feeling unwelcomed wasn't my idea of a satisfying purchase. I want to like this place soooo bad, I even hesitated posting this review. But I have already reached out to the IG account to resolve my issues about the service and was left on read. I'm posting this now so people know what to expect, experience wise. Whenever I get a haircut or any service, I really value communication and a friendly vibe... I would have been fine if I had to explain what I wanted to someone else before proceeding or if I was told what I wanted was uncomfortable for the nail tech. Not happy with my experience. I specifically went to this nail salon after my cousin raved about it for years. I was done with regular gel as my nails were always breaking and very thin. I went here and Coco did my nails. None of the lengths or shape of each nail was even, making it growing at different lengths over time. Second, all my nails lifted and broke. I went in a second time so she could fix the lifting nails. She seemed upset, when she was the one who specifically told me to come back if there was any lifting. Third, even after all the fixes, I still experienced lifting. All of my friends made fun of my nails because they were so thick and hideous. I am glad everyone else has had lovely experiences, but unfortunately I did not. I really wanted to love this place but I spent too much money to end up disappointed...TWICE. read more

I recently tried the new facial promotion at Gelly Nail Bar and had such a great experience! Vivi did my facial and she was so gentle and attentive the entire time. The facial itself was incredibly relaxing. The space was clean and cozy and I left feeling relaxed, refreshed and glowing. Vivi made sure to check in from time to time making sure I was comfortable or letting me know what she was doing next. I struggle from slight rosacea on my cheeks and right after, I could already see a noticeable improvement in the redness, which really impressed me. Perhaps next time I'd like to target more of my trouble areas such as my nose and chin. My only small suggestion would be to have the relaxing music turned up just a bit louder to help drown out some of the noise from outside, but that might just be a personal preference. I want to say the quality of work and service has always been amazing by Christie! She's a sweet heart, I would give her 5/5 stars and I've been coming to her consistently. However, this review is for the lack of empathy from management. I honestly really loved this place until this one incident. I booked a last minute opening for the next morning the night before. The next day they confirmed the appointment, and within an hour from the confirmation, I told them I could no longer make it since I had to go to the ER for an emergency surgery. And guess what, they would not give me my deposit back or even let me reschedule! I even sent them a picture of my doctor's letter but they made no compromise to help save my $30 deposit. I understand that there is a cancellation policy but I couldn't believe that I had to stress over saving my deposit while I was dying and going in for an emergency surgery. I was really disappointed in the lack of empathy and compromise. The only thing that was offered was a 10% off next appointment... So just know before booking this place, whether you are dying or have any sort of unexpected life circumstances, you will not be getting your deposit back. read more

I did the cat-eye/facial promotion with Angel and Vivi! Both were super attentive and did a great job. Angel helped in finding my nail color when they didn't have the exact match and was very detailed with what I wanted. Vivi was very gentle and relaxing and definitely had me falling asleep a couple times from how relaxed I was. Thank you!! read more
