There are also signs reminding parents to keep an eye on their children, don't touch this and don't touch that. It's very off putting and immediately made me feel unwelcome. If you have children (especially in strollers), are in a wheelchair or have anything larger than a small handbag on your person, you'll find that navigating this shop is difficult. The aisles are incredibly narrow; inventory fills every available nook and cranny from floor to ceiling. There are trinkets and knick-knacks all around-some look to be collectables. I'd imagine that some people get great joy out of hunting for treasures here-after all, there are plenty.

From the exterior, Dutchman's market looks like your average old gas station. When you walk in you realize it's not just a gas station. One side is definitely gas station, the middle is filled with the most heavenly cookies in existence, and the other side is basically a boutique. Don't sleep on this place! I had bought a decent amount of plants from here about a year ago and they were doing great so I decided to stop in and get them repotted. I asked the man at the front desk how the repotting works and he was very condescending, short and sassy. I understand having a personality but when I asked "if I bought the plant here is there still a repotting fee" he said "congratulations on buying the plant here and supporting local" in the rudest way possible. I have no issue paying a repotting fee I was just asking for clarification and he decided that was the perfect time to be rude lol it was the weirdest thing. When I said I was taken aback by his attitude he continued to escalate. Anyway, you can easily just buy plants elsewhere and skip the condescending man who works here and owns the shop.
