I thought my transmission was going…read moreout because in first gear there was what appeared to be a slip and then surge sounding almost like landing gear going down on an airplane. First thought was to go to Hyundai. I described the problem and they said they would be replacing the transmission as they do not do repair work and it would be about $7000. Keep in mind they hadn't even looked at it but there was a significant charge for even a code reader. I had already read mine and nothing was showing. I took it to A1 and Miguel said they would take a look at it. After taking it for a short drive the mechanic came back with his tablet and said it's nothing that a seven dollar can of Seafoam won't solve. I have a clogged injector. I used the seafoam and my car drives like new. There was no charge for the Diagnostic! I'm green when it comes to auto mechanics and could've easily been taken for a ride. I do have 152,000 miles on my car sooner or later I will need transmission work and this is the place I will bring my car.
