    Kenneth's Car Care

Look No Further, Go to Kenneth's! If you've been going to the dealership, STOP!! Here's why…read more Today I came in stressed. My 2013 VW Beetle Convertible had what looked like a serious window leak during a massive rainstorm and on top of that my brake light was out. The dealership couldn't even see me until Thursday! (Today is Monday). Grayson got me in today. He and his master mechanic Tommy personally took a hose to my car to diagnose the leak with no runaround. As it turns out, it wasn't the catastrophic leak I feared. At the same time, Tommy replaced my brake light quickly and efficiently. And, Grayson took great care of me- without a doubt amazing and straight up outstanding customer service. All my problems are resolved. Whew!!!! These guys are honest, knowledgeable, and they actually care. And to top it off, Grayson even identified the likely cause of my heat issue that the dealership wanted to fix the expensive way. All through a quick conversation and review of my car's issues. I'll be bringing my car back to fix that in a few weeks. Kenneth's Car Care has earned all my future business for brakes, heat, oil changes, and more. Don't waste your time and money at the dealership or another repair shop. Come here first. You will be glad you did.

This is probably the worse shop in Kingwood for body work. Customer beware. If I give them credit…read morefor anything positive, the paint looks pretty good on my car. Other than that they totally failed. The day the car was towed in I met with a service tec who told me they would start tearing down the truck the next day to do an estimate. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing I called. I was told my service tech no longer worked there. I told the lady on the phone, "that's your problem not mine." So then I got a new service tech who repeatedly mislead me, missed deadlines, never retuned calls. What's more, I told him I had an aftermarket grill panel and was told that State Farm would only pay for Ford stock items. So I told him, I had the original chrome Ford grill out in my garage and they could use that one and I dropped it off. He asked if they should compare my old grill to the one they were ordering from a used parts house and I said NO. When I came to finally pick up my truck they had used the new used grill anyway. The cost was only $288, and since I had waited 6 weeks for my truck I just decided to take it anyway. Then a few days later I get a final estimate from State Farm and that $288 grill now cost $950!!!!!! Are you kidding me? It's plastic and I plan to remove it anyway and replace with the aftermarket grill. So State Farm is the one being ripped off. Maybe I should just let it go but it galls me that they would rip everyone off at the last minute. My final bill went up $2000! That is just criminal. I have no idea if a guy named Kenneth still owns the place but if he does, he must own a mansion and have membership at Kingwood Country Club with all the scammed money he has made. 1 star is the lowest and that is what Kenneth's gets. Caveat Emptor, Buyer Beware!

After this is goes down hill to the point in which I can't believe the painter, quality personnel or even management would accept such poor quality work and even think it's acceptable to pass on such work to anyone. I attempted to have a tailgate replaced here and finally on the either 4th or 5th rejection of poor quality just threw in the towel as clearly they don't care or I would have had a quality product returned to me for a ~$3500 job of a new replacement tailgate. Multiple times I had to point out dents, dings, chips, runs in the clear coat, runs in the base coat, areas in which primer is still showing, orange-peel, and dirt or foreign particles embedded in the base coat, each time after I was told it's "ready" to go... The issues were never resolved and it's clear each time they only just tried to cover it up. I don't think they even attempted to PDR or glaze it for profile until I pointed all the dents out on round 3 I think (which still was never fully resolved). The quality of work is some of the worst I've ever seen and clearly no one on their quality side cared either. You would think at the 4/5th time one would look to make sure there is no runs in the paint as that is basic knowledge / quality for a paint job. They finally got what they want however, that of me out the door because they just can't do it and I got tired of them trying 100 times / paying out of pocket for a rental.

However, in my opinion, from the standpoint of someone garnering quotes for a future mirror replacement, the receptionist or customer service associate who answered the phone did not have a good enough concept of (potential) customer relations. After a truly harrowing, somewhat traumatizing freeway experience, I thought the person answering the phone would at least have some kind of empathy or even just a professional, friendly tone. My initial request to speak to a mechanic or service advisor was ignored. Anyways, I volunteered info about the make, model, year and color of the car, but she only seemed interested in the VIN number, which I provided. Any other place asks for all of this info. She actually said I read the VIN number too fast at the end of my reading of it, which makes no sense as I never read numbers that fast out of courtesy. I even took the extra step of making sure she got the letters correctly, but, again, she did not appreciate that. Instead, she rather unprofessionally and abruptly ended the entire call. I've never had this kind of low vibration, low intelligence customer service from any auto-related business. So, I called back and left a message thinking perhaps the owner would contact me either the same day or the next, to no avail. Every other business I have contacted, from dealerships to independent repair and body shops, have had much more impressive and professional communications.

Work quality is piss poor, the front staff is overwhelmed and makes mistakes on top of mistakes. After one month of pretty inconsistent communication i was called to pick up my vehicle, a GRAY 2024 Subaru outback that was damaged only after one month of ownership. I was handed back keys that were unfamiliar, but since i was only in the vehicle in a month, I considered i could be wrong. I walk outside and see a WHITE 2024 Outback...I'm like did they paint this muthaphucka? I look at the license plate confirm it is not my vehicle . I walk back in and inform them of the mistake. I was meet with disbelief, but I insist and they uncover not only was it not my vehicle but they didn't even know where my vehicle was, they repaired and billed my insurance for someone else's car! After a 30 minute search they came back and informed they hadn't even started working on my car. After 2 weeks, they call and alert me the car is now fixed. The finished work was on par with a 6 year old fixing mom's favorite mug. Saying it was rushed and half assed is an understatement. Snaps were broken and panels were misaligned. It literally still looked like it was in a minor accident and no work had been done. since it was a company vehicle and I didn't want to give it back to them and further deal with them as a business I just left and drove around in car with shoddy work. Still cant believe a company that literally fixed the wrong car would do an absolutely abhorrent job after getting an opportunity to repair the right car. Save yourself the stress and possible financial hardship in doing business with these people.
