I needed a mechanic to look at my tires. It appeared that from my experience it needed an alignment. I searched surrounding areas who would do an alignment inspection. I called and Tim told me to stop by he would take a look. 6:35p drove up, he walked up started checking my tires and gave me the 'ol fist bump and said I am Tim. Tim seems to be knowledgeable and explains everything in detail. He gave his professional experience and determined what route I needed to take. Not much to complain about- the service is very personable (thanks, Tim!), there's the complimentary beverage and TV spot (way better than the franchises I have been to that don't even have that!), and best of all, they make appointments that work for you so that an oil change takes no more than 30-40 minutes. In past experiences, I've waited up to a whole day (ridiculous) for an oil change or have been told to come right away (even though 5 other people also were told to come in at the same time). I highly recommend calling ahead about the coupon that The Shop offers for oil changes. They will honor it and there are absolutely no extra fees that will blindside you. I knock off 1 Star for a couple of reasons: one is that even though they offer a free seasonal check- up, they do not automatically do it like a lot of other shops will in this area. Another point is that the mehanic left my car interior in a slightly disheveled place. I am pretty short- so I understand why he had to push the seat back a few notches, and take off my cushion, but he just left it all like that - cushion thrown in the passenger seat and all. He also took off all stickers (including my Costco tire balance one that is clearly not for an oil change) which was pretty inconvenient because I'd like to know when I next need to balance my wheels. But this is all small stuff that shouldn't override the fact that The Shop should be your spot for your next oil change! read more

If you want honest answers to your vehicle problems this is the place to go. There goal is total customer service with the least price possible. Tim, is so honest and does everything to get the vehicle repaired with the least charge. He so customer driven. I took my car in and he could have very easily sold me $2,00.00 worth of work...it turned out to be zero. The mechanics know what they are doing too. It's a win win for the customer. If you have a problem that truly needs to fixed by the dealer they will let you know vs trying to repair it and charging the charging you when they couldn't fix it in the first place. read more

Got all four brakes and rotors replaced before a several thousand mile road trip so I would be safe. They put two screws on the rear brakes or rotors in the wrong place, which caused them not to sit flush and create a vibration and wobbling noise. Unfortunately, they also put hard brakes on the car, which is now causing a lot of brake squealing and noise. Between the different noises and wobbling, I thought something was terribly wrong. I spent money to be safe and felt totally unsafe. I stopped along the way and had someone fix their terrible work. I would have given zero stars if that would have been an option. read more

I've been here twice now, thanks to a snazzy Living Social deal that I got earlier this year and have been completely satisfied with the service! I've had two oil changes and two tire rotations this year and the staff is always friendly and thorough. On my first visit the tech told me I didn't need oil changes as often as the dealer had told me - I was in shock! You mean a car service center is telling me that I don't have to come pay for more services that are actually unnecessary?! Needless to say, being honest and providing great service is all a woman could ask for in a car shop! I will be back here, as I still have quite a few discounted services to take advantage of with my LS deal - and my guess is that I'll keep coming here long after then too! read more

WARNING! Rip off! Sir, the estimate is $1100 to fix A, B, C. The O2 sensors 5x the cost of parts store. Went to another auto repair: $258. And the O2 sensors wasn't even a culprit! The young guys are friendly, courteous, and can probably sell the average person swamp land! RIP off shop for other than normal tire check! Let me just say, for the past 3-4 years now this shop continues to be my favorite auto shop. I took my car in for what I thought was a bigger issue, and it turned out to be nothing, really. Tim was so helpful with explaining how they diagnosed the problem and he knocked my bill down because the issue ended up being so small. I am truly thankful for The Shop's professionalism, reliability, and friendliness. I've taken my car to the dealership before and was upsold all the time, but I NEVER worry about that with The Shop because it simply never happens. Highly recommend! Tim was amazing to work with. Due to the pandemic my husband has not left the house for health reasons. So when we had car issues Tim was recommend to us, Tim took several calls from my husband who is very knowledgeable with cars. He was very patient and looked into every issue my husband brought up and fixed our car in a very timely manner. When it came to test driving the car he noticed the gas light was on and was very gracious to put some gas in the car so a proper test drive without worries can be done. For instance I was told at another repair facility that I needed a complete brake job. I went to The Shop for a second opinion and Tim did not agree. it has been several months since then and as the time grows closer to that brake job I will not hesitate to take my car the SHOP. Started off great, Tim was quick to answer the phone and I thought we would get great things accomplished. But unfortunately, that wasn't what happened. My vehicle was there for 2 weeks, I spent nearly 800$ for repairs and it still left there on a trailer. It was originally in for power steering repair, then was told it was a heater hose and possibly a head blown. went to pick it up and it was literally leaking, when it was taking in it wasn't. Was told it was because they repaired it therefore now it was leaking in other areas. they wanted basically another 1,000. So I cut that cord , picked it up and took it home. I personally repaired vehicle myself and had it running and on the road in 2 days. which would of been sooner but got rained out. The 1,000 they wanted. I only spent 85.00 and half of that was for fluids and new clamps. So I wouldn't advise any of my friends or even possibly my enemies to utilize their services. I only give them 2 stars cause I like Tim as a person. but as far as The Shop goes. I don't think I would take my kids skateboard there for repairs. read more

They tried to rip me off after going there for years. They told me that my dash had to be pulled out to replace the brake booster. They wanted to charge me three hours labor for that. I got the same thing at brake check for $400 they wanted to charge me $700 for. I'm so disappointed. read more

Honesty is their business. As a woman when our check engine light comes on, we panic right. I took my car for a diagnostic at another shop and the diagnostic system read "P0456" which is an Evaporative System Leak and this was causing my "CHECK ENGINE" light to come on. I took my vehicle to Z's Automotive Repair on FM 1960 and was quoted $585.00. The mechanic at Z's stated the Emission Hose needed to be replaced and the whole gas tank needed to be taken off. I couldn't afford the work at the time therefore I didn't get the repairs done at Z's automotive. Well I took my vehicle for an Oil Change at "The Shop" a couple of weeks later and Taylor in the front area noticed my inspection sticker expired and inquired about it. I explained the quote I received at Z's and Taylor said "Let us take a look at it". Long story short the only thing prompting my CHECK ENGINE light was a bad gas cap which "The Shop" replaced for $25.00. I was then able to pass inspection. I am thankful for Taylor and his expertise which saved me $560.00. The Shop has a loyal customer in me for life. read more
