I was referred to Clifford's Car Care by a friend, after giving Jaguar 3 attempts to fix on my Jaguar XF for the engine light. I would drive about 15 miles and the light would come back on, 3 different times within 1 month. Clifford's Care Care kept me in the loop of what was going on, what they were doing and planned to do. I picked my car up and it runs good as new and to my surprise the engine light was off. I've driven over 100 miles and it's still off. I appreciate the time and effort Clifford's put into my car. We had a radiator leak and had our vehicle towed to this shop because it was nearby and open at the time. They claimed that according to a block check, we had a blown head gasket, and that it would cost something in the range of $3500 not even including the cost of a machinist they would have to send it to. I told the guy we were going to get a second opinion. He didn't blink, but stuck with his story, as did the guy who brought me the key fob. They told me to get a block check where ever I took it, and said that it would confirm their diagnosis. They must be good at poker. Not good enough though, because I called their bluff. The other mechanic did the block check, and he said he saw *no indication* of a blown head gasket. At that point, he said he was 99% sure it was *not* blown, but wouldn't be 100% sure until after the new radiator was installed and a pressure check of the cooling system was done. Once those things were completed he said he was completely sure. So, I can only see two possibilities here: Either the guys at Clifford's were incompetent, and failed to properly perform the block check (really?), or (what is more likely in my opinion) they tried to scam us. Never going back, obviously. My advice, if you insist on going here: get a second or third opinion if they claim you have a major problem and/or give you a high estimate. read more

It was definitely not a good experience they wanted me to buy a used motor i didn't even need my quote went from 1700 to 6200 before tax so decided to take it to different shop where they told me i didn't need another motor got my timing chain fixed valves replaced for 1900 dls that's 4300 hundred less than what They were gonna charge me and thats not counting the taxes. AVOID this place and go elsewhere. They won't even warranty their own batteries! Mine went bad after just 9 months and they gave me such a hard time with excuses and hassle I just left the place and went to SAMS to buy one. This place is really awesome. Honestly, what first drew me to them was a bible quote on their marquee. I walked in and was greeted by the most friendly man I've ever talked to, he even made sure to open the door since he saw me carrying my baby's carseat. I love their wireless tablet check-in, and, although they looked pretty busy based on the traffic in their bays, I was done with my inspection in no time. Waiting room is small, only about 3 chairs, so I'm not sure how they fair on busy days. But overall, I loved the service and I will be coming back. read more

Have a Lexus that needed a major repair. Contacted Clifford's (had read good reviews) and received a quote that was much more competitive than Northside Lexus so I took a chance. I proceeded to have the best car maintenance experience in a long time. They were courteous, kept me updated on the schedule, met their schedule and even showed me that the work was value added as the parts that were replaced had truly gone bad. Spent nearly $2K in repairs but felt like I received every penny and more worth. Roy was fantastic to work with and I am looking forward to give them more of my business going forward. read more

I had the absolute worst service. My brakes locked up less than a block from their location and could not afford a tow. Walked there and asked them if they could help me unlock my brakes I would bring them the car to have it fixed. The response I got was we won't even talk to you until the car is here. I tried to explain the problem make and model etc. And was blown off. So I ended up on the side of the rode fixing it myself in the dark. For a company with Bible verses on their sign I think they need to reevaluate the way they treat people. read more

Brought my car in the other day and needed to get some things fixed...they told me I still had warranty left so they made an appointment for me at local Audi dealership with loaner. A few months ago when I first went to Clifford's, I needed a lot of work. I have a mechanic in the family and took it to him for a second opinion. I brought my car here several times. Each time the work done was sloppy. They do give a fair price I will give them that but my problem still remains. How hard is it to fix an oil leak? Each time they fix something they clean it up and then it leaks again. I finally decided to find another mechanic shop that can probably fix my problem instead of continuing to dump money in this place. These guys are great! I went there twice last week (once to repair my windshield wipers and then to replace my drivers side mirror). Both times I was greeted with smiles and fit right in even though I didn't have an appointment. The quality of there work was superb. The customer service was stellar. And I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Being new to the area it can be intimidating trying to find a new mechanic but they made me feel very welcomed. The best part is they work on ALL vehicle types! Moved to the area about a year ago and first visited shortly thereafter. I was impressed with the honesty of the assessment for the work I needed done. I was even more impressed with their quoted prices. I wondered how much the price would go up once the work was completed But unlike other mechanics I've visited in the past there was no increase from the earlier quotation. I've been back a couple times since and found this to be the norm and not the exception to the rule.
