We booked it and from beginning to end, it was smooth sailing with them. They consistently told me what was going on, where there technicians were and how much longer the work would be, each day. We had several different crews at different stages in the process and each and every one was great! They showed up on time, text to let us know they were coming, set up protective plastic sheets in the house, wore boot covers while in the house and worked hard each day. For all the work that they did, it was well worth every penny! Once complete, the work is fantastic and now we are enjoying our fireplace. Thank you 4 winds chimney!

Execution of the agreed upon scope of work: 3 of 5. Scope of work included the install of "Full Cover Flat Lid Cap." To date, majority of the scope of work is complete with the exception of installing the cap. Satisfied with the workmanship done so far. The cap hasn't been installed & company is still waiting for delivery. 7 Months into this project when the cap dimensions were taken & I have to arrange for a 2nd install date. Company Warranty Policy: 1 of 5. In order for the company to honor any warranty re-work, the customer has to buy into annual inspections. Luckily, it stopped raining…read more I called TG about 10 pm and he showed up first thing in the morning and took pictures of the problem. The picture showed the skylight frame separated and he fixed/repaired. Using his underlayment paper and my roofing shingles left over from a reroofing job performed 8 years ago, he tore out the old paper and reshingled. TG also installed a bathroom exhaust the same day. Very happy with the immediate service and extra work TG performed. We've several downpours since then and no problems. Very fair prices without gouging because of my circumstances.

So mid Nov comes, David arrives and cleans the FP, charges us several hundred dollars and 5 minutes after he leaves it goes off again. I called immediately and left a message. A woman said they needed to order a part. We've called half a dozen times since then and get no response. It's been weeks and no one has even given us a single update. We either get the answering machine or a woman tells us she'll let David know we called. I'm so very frustrated over this. We've had this gas fireplace for many years and have never had a service issue with the former owner. I really miss having it on!

I had an extremely disturbing experience with Kilbury's Feed Service in Arkport, NY. They performed…read morework on a fireplace insert/heater at one of my properties, and while the occupants were sitting in the living room, the unit exploded with enough force to send glass shards into the wall. This was not a minor issue -- it was a dangerous, life-threatening failure directly tied to the unit they serviced. We were notified of the incident on Monday and I contacted the company that same day and was told we would hear back. By Tuesday morning, there had been no follow-up, so we physically went to the business to speak with the owner. The response was dismissive. We were told he hadn't spoken with his business partner yet and that "they had trucks and pallets to unload" -- apparently a heater exploding in an occupied home is not a top priority. We even offered to have them come out and inspect the heater themselves, and they declined and wanted nothing to do with it. When we calmly asked that they contact their insurance company to begin the claims process, we were told it "wasn't their problem" and were hung up on. You would think hiring a licensed contractor would prevent something like this, but clearly that was not the case. Instead of urgency, accountability, or concern for safety, we were met with excuses and disregard. I will be pursuing this matter further. If this is how they handle a life-threatening failure directly tied to their own work, that should be a serious red flag for anyone else considering utilizing their services.
