I'm not typically one to stay in a nice hotel but it was my birthday and I really wanted to treat myself. I called a few days before to get all of my questions answered and the staff that I spoke to was very informative. I wanted to know about the accommodations and what came with each stay and if each room had a vineyard view. The Geneseo Inn has 8 total rooms, each of which have a beautiful view and has a music inspired theme. We stayed in the Bohemian Rhapsody rm and when we walked in the song was playing. It was a perfect touch to the beginning of our stay. This trip was for my birthday and upon entering I was greeted with cookies and a bottle of wine on the bed. Thank you Geneseo inn for the birthday gift. The room itself was beautiful, modern, and overlooking their gorgeous vineyard. During your stay they have a happy hour that goes from 4-6 where they had a small charcuterie board and wine. The happy hour takes place inside of their lobby which is pretty small with very limited seating. Your stay comes with breakfast served to your room which was absolutely amazing. I had them set up our food on the patio overlooking the winery. Upon check in you are given options for your breakfast order. I went with the peach and goat cheese Dutch baby with bacon on the side. My breakfast was delicious. In addition to the breakfast served to your room that arrives between the hrs 0830-1000 am, there is a continental breakfast served in the lobby from 0730-1000am. There is private parking for each room that is located underneath the shipping container. There are a ton of activities that can be done on property such as riding e bikes around the vineyards that I would love to come and go do at a later time. We stayed on Wednesday in June and the cost was $309 for one night (inclusive of taxes. Overall, our stay was exactly what I was looking for. Relaxing and romantic. I'd love to come back and stay and I would 100% recommend Geneseo Inn to anyone. read more

This is the best hotel in Paso Robles. Hands down. And I've stayed in basically all of them. Ignore the review below about pet penalty - their pet fee is clearly communicated all across the site and confirmation emails etc. they also clearly communicate that there will be a penalty for those who don't sign the waiver and declare a pet at check in. I travel with my dogs everywhere and can say their policies are very transparent and fair and the fee is reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The beds are remarkably comfortable, the rooms are ridiculously well cleaned and maintained (I work in hospitality myself so I'm a tough critic!) and the breakfast that's included is next level. Each unit is thoughtfully decorated and all have stunning views of rolling hillsides and vineyards. It feels remote but it's truly a quick 15/20 minute drive to everything and there are also some fantastic wineries just down the street as well. It's a beautiful place to relax and spread out. Happy hour is magnificent, s'mores by the fire are superb. In fact I'm currently writing this from a cozy bed starring out at the bright green hillside after a crab cake Benedict breakfast with house made apple chicken sausage on the side. All I can hear is the breeze through the trees and the patter of rain against the skylights and the song of birds. An absolute dream. 10/10 and absolutely zero notes. Stay here if you can. read more

This is an AirBnB with 8 units converted from shipping containers situated in Cass Vineyards. The location, while remote, is serene and beautiful. The interior is modern, clean and upscale. Cars are parked beneath each unit, which is very convenient. The price comes with cook-to-order in-room hot breakfast with beverages. This is a very nice treat. Food was excellent. This would've been a 5-star review but for the following reasons: The bed is AWFUL! The edge sags down as you sit. There is no support whatsoever. Every morning, I'm awaken with body aches. Management should replace the beds every few years. The AirBnB manager decided to impose a $50 penalty for failure to sign the pet consent form which I had lost. This is on top of the $50 pet fee. Given that the staff had been texting me about pre-arrival & breakfast orders, you would think a follow-up text during the stay would be helpful especially if penalties are involved. Or perhaps present the consent form to sign upon checking in would be efficient, especially when I have notified the staff multiple times that I'm traveling with a small dog. Knowing that the staff will need to do extra vacuuming due to pet hair, I handed a nice tip to the housekeeping staff upon checking out. The pet consent form penalty left a very bad taste. Between the sad condition of the bed and the pet penalty, I will not return. read more

This review is after a site visit I had last weekend. We unfortunately didn't have the pleasure of experiencing the sleeping accommodations but from the tour and incredible staff, I know it would have been incredible. The venue itself was a beautiful modern facility unlike the other venues in the area. They are also so intuitive to include a beautiful space to do a long table dinner within the vines. as an event planner, this was such a dream. Beautiful sleeping and combinations on site, shuttle, transportation included in an amazing Chef and Catering team to accommodate anything you need! Stayed here for a wedding in February and it was the cutest place! I definitely want to come back and stay here again. The shipping containers converted to rooms is such a unique idea and when you're inside One, you would have no idea! The breakfast was delicious and they even have a dog menu so you can order your pup something special too. We brought our little golden retriever with us and all the staff was super friendly. Unfortunately I didn't get to do any wine tasting since I'm pregnant but I bought a few bottles from the winery to have soon. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

Staying in a vineyard is a unique experience. The rooms are creatively architected and modern, which we liked. The car is conveniently parked under the room. We enjoyed tasting Cass wines during the happy hour and the room service breakfast was a treat. Friendly staff. The food at the cafe was surprisingly very good. Both nights we woke up by some engine noise. It was not clear if it was a tractor servicing the vineyard? This is like at 1 or 2 AM! The location is way on the East side, which took an effort going to most places, including downtown. read more

A cute little boutique hotel on a winery. Each rooms are made from containers and have their own theme. The rooms are really cozy and have their own balconies with views of the Cass winery. Breakfast is included each morning and is delivered to your room. Also they have a happy hour from 4 to 6. You can have a tasting of the Cass wines that is located on the vineyard. Also if you stay at the hotel, you get free tastings at the winery. All the staff are super friendly and very accommodating. There are various events on the premises as well. Just ask the front desk. The beds were on the softer side (for me). Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. Definitely a different experience. read more

Things to consider 1. Mattress was too soft (not enough support for elderly) 2. The shower/toilet combination should include a squeeze (we had to sit on the wet floor) 3. The property should have better signs around it on the roads, leading to it to direct guests to the main entrance and to the office. Absolutely love this breakfast and bed inn! The vineyard is beautiful. You can rent e-bikes and ride around the area freely. There are so many activities like archery, painting class, cooking class, horse riding and more. The customer service is impeccable. The front desk worker TT was kind and welcoming. Unfortunately it was pouring rain during our visit and we didn't get the chance to enjoy these activities. When we arrived we visited the restaurant, CASS Cafe and it was lively. We bought some wine at the cafe and forgot to mention we were staying at the Inn for a discount. I only wish the room had a bathtub since its definitely a romantic vibe. The food was good, personally didn't care for the dutch pancake but we enjoyed the other dishes. The office offers snacks and drinks during breakfast and deli meats and cheese during evening. I had access to fruit, bread and fresh juices every morning. I could go on and on about all the things I loved about this place and I can't wait to visit again. They are adding a pool with a bar. I don't even know where to start with this place because our trip was absolutely incredible from the moment I called to book. Alex booked us and was so communicative from the first phone call to the texts (yes you can text them) all the way until we showed up to our room. All the rooms are beautiful and named and decorated individually. When we arrived to our room named Country Road, "Country Road" was playing to welcome us- how cute is that?! And an adorable anniversary gift welcoming us. I felt like royalty! But it doesn't stop there- Alex made sure to greet us the next day because we missed her due to a late check in. She was so welcoming and told us all about the property and activities (horseback riding, archery, picnics, electric bikes etc!). There are no TVs in the room which I LOVED. For those that really want one, use your tablet, computer, phone etc. When we headed to the tasting room for our complementary tasting, we happened to run into the owner Ted, who immediately felt like family. We laughed and joked and he made a phone call to the event center to squeeze us into the winery event that was being held that night. It was literally less than an hour away from starting and they still made it happen with name tags at our place settings and all! Passed apps, wine and then we were brought to the giant banquet table. The 4 course meal paired with delicious wine was some of the favorite dishes I've tasted. Osso Buco from their farm on the estate... I gotta stop I'm drooling. Speaking of food, I can't even begin to explain the level is tastiness they provide. Yes, breakfast in included and NO it's not your run of the mill hotel food. This is 5 star level food. I'm from Sonoma County so I know good food and this is it. Each day is different but our faves were the eggs Benedict and lemon ricotta pancakes AND on top of that you get fresh hot pastries, coffee and fresh juice. The mattress was just the cherry on top- is there anything worse than a nice hotel with a horrible mattress? This one was a literal cloud. My husband and I have a sleep number and I'm considering buying whatever mattress they use here because it was elite! Ps- they are completely sustainable! read more

Everything at Geneseo Inn was absolutely wonderful and beyond expectations. Alex and Merridee at the front desk were such a pleasure to talk to and were so welcoming. The Inn itself is such an incredible experience. We stayed in Room 8, the At Last room and it blew us away. The views, the service, breakfast, the accommodations. I literally already miss it so much. There is horseback riding on the property booked through Central Coast Trail rides and you do not want to miss that either. Had my eye on staying here for a while, so when booking opened up six months before my birthday, we were quick to it! Our two night stay was perfect. We stayed in Gaia (room 2). The room was a great size, and we loved how much natural light we got. Happy hour each day with wine and snacks. Breakfast in the room made to order. Beautiful views. This place we can't say enough about!! It is set in most beautiful setting in the wine country of Paso Robles, CA. The buildings for each room are built out of shipping containers! The rooms are luxurious and have very modern amenities. no TV just piped music and the views to die for! My Wife and I so enjoyed the quiet space in our crazy busy world! We preordered breakfast that promptly delivered in the morning from the Cass Winery restaurant. Our only observation is that things were a tad dusty and dirty around the facility and the outdoor spaces didn't appear in order and should be washed down. (look like peopled used outdoor chairs and other scattered. We cannot wait to return though... If you want a romantic private get away this is a top choice! read more

Wonderful place to stay. Interesting with the shipping containers . Were there for an olive tasting event/wine club pick-up. The staff and the owners made us feel like we are family. The food is wonderful , my wife tells me the wine is delicious, ( I don't drink) the views, and the scenery, just a great setting for a get-a-way. This place is so special. I thought it may be "hipster" -style without substance, but it is the opposite. We were in the Country Road room and music was playing when we entered. The happy hour is lovely and we sat outside watching football on our iPads in the vineyard! The breakfast is truly chef driven - it is incredible. Everyone we encountered was lovely and happy.
