In our room when we arrived :)

This place is so dreamy! My husband and I stayed here for two nights (far too few) on our Central Coast mini-honeymoon last month, and it was the perfect place to decompress, thanks to the idyllic hilltop setting, in-room Jacuzzi tub in our suite, luxury linens and comfortable bed, and all of the small details from the photography, carefully chosen books, quality toiletries, and more. Tamara, the inn-keeper, was the perfect hostess. She makes incredible and healthy breakfasts, with some ingredients from the gardens, and even though she is new to the area is very helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to do. She even went out of her way to ship us my husband's jacket and some shirts which he left in the armoire, which we really appreciated. When booking I debated between which room to stay in because they all looked beautiful, but I chose the Maria Sabina Suite and loved it. The aforementioned Jacuzzi tub looked out onto a small wrought-iron balcony overlooking a gorgeous Oak tree. The bed was hard to pull myself away from in the morning, and the hammock on the balcony was so relaxing that I fell asleep mid-afternoon, something I rarely do. I'm never planning to get married again, but I am certainly intending to return to Inn Paradiso for special occasions, or when in need of a getaway.

Spacious, interesting, luxurious, romantic, extraordinary....only touch the surface of this unusual place. Photos and descriptions do not do it justice! You have to experience it for yourself. The inn-keepers were gracious and accommodating, making delicious locally sourced, organic dishes. The bath products were heavenly. I loved opening the windows and doors to feel like I was outside, living in the tops of the oak trees. Close to town, yet private and secretive. Tanner, one of the innkeepers, will even be your taxi into town or for wine tasting. His advice on what wineries to try was spot-on! I would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful terrace to relax. Wine on site for sale.

Phenomenal experience this weekend at the Inn Paradiso. The grounds are beautiful, full of fun and interesting art, the breakfasts are so special, with exciting organic ingredients and a very talented chef/property manager. We felt very welcome and relaxed. The Inn is just a bit out of town, Uber was very easy to use to get around town each day. The pool is unheated and refreshing. Definitely recommend.

My first review ever and it's for inn paradiso. Magical, relaxing, serene, beautiful, organic, clean and well maintained..I promise you will not regret staying here. Pictures do not do justice to this place! Colleen and Tanner were so sweet and accommodating. We went there for my boyfriends birthday and we both decided that this will be our getaway spot from now on..can't wait to go back! By the way Colleen made us a yummy lemon rosemary cheesecake that was beyond amazing Don't think twice..book it and go!

Overall a lovely stay... Started with some concerns about no hot water(new heater being installed) but was resolved before bedtime. Rooms are fresh and well designed. Breakfast was always creative and healthy.

We stayed 3 nights in the Maria Sabina room and had a relaxing, wonderful stay. This unique inn off the beaten path is a true gem. The innkeeper, Tamara, makes you feel right at home and her fabulous breakfasts each morning are pampering and delicious. This will definitely be our go-to place whenever we are back in this area.

A nice classy touch! So special to help celebrate our honeymoon!!

Absolutely wonderful place on earth... We spent one night of our honeymoon here and it was definitely memorable... Tamara, her fiancé Andy were so welcoming and attentive... A chance to speak to the owner Steven was a rare treat since he gave us the history of this great place... It was a pleasure meeting all of you! The rooms, grounds, food, ahhh, i could on an on...and we had the whole place to ourselves! We will definitely be returning! Thank you all for providing a fantastic experience and beautiful memories for my wife and I...

The most amazing hotel experience I have ever had. I felt right at home, the service and the hotel were impeccable. I will most definitely return, if you are looking for a place to stay, you must stay here you will not regret it. I was having a hard time booking at a specific winery but Tova and the owner gladly made it happen. The food is organic and the coffee is the best I have ever had. I will highly recommend it to everyone.

I liked all five wines on the tasting menu, including the rosé, which is new for me because I don't usually love rosés. I ended up getting another glass of the Barbera after we finished the tasting. Beautiful view from their deck. We caught the tail end of their cave tour, which always fun. Overall a really lovely wine experience.

Let me preface this with this - I rarely write reviews, and never have had to write a bad one…read moresadly. I believe sometimes companies have off days, and employees may have a bad day, which can affect one's experience, thus I dont let one bad experience ruin a company's review. But when it comes to my CHILD, you best believe i will never forgive and forget or let our experience be forgotten. We visited this winery expecting a relaxing, family-friendly experience and instead left with our daughter crying after being scratched in the face near her eye by the owner's off-leash dog. What makes this especially frustrating is that the winery's own rules state dogs must be leashed, yet the owners' dogs were roaming the property freely. Our daughter was calmly petting one of the dogs with me standing directly beside her when the dog suddenly growled and scratched her across the face. This was completely unprovoked and witnessed by the owner himself, who said absolutely nothing afterward. No apology, no concern, no accountability. An employee later approached us and said, "Sorry, he's old and maybe didn't like that she was the same height as him, which made him react".....which felt less like accountability and more like an absurd attempt to excuse why a reactive dog was allowed to roam off leash around guests and children. We also observed the dogs behaving territorially toward other leashed dogs on the property, making it even more inappropriate that they were allowed off leash in a public setting. My father-in-law is a VERY well known, well respected, and prominent winemaker in Virginia and across the United States, if you know anything about wine, you know him. So lets say, we understand winery culture and hospitality, fairly well. Had something like this happened on his property, it would have been handled immediately and professionally with genuine concern for the injured guest.....especially a child. Watching the owner casually continue on in his conversation with whomever, and pet the dog like nothing happened while our daughter screamed and cried was honestly unbelievable. In my opinion, not worth the visit for the subpar wine, if you want to take your children/dog somewhere. The poodles were friendly to me, and other adults, until we saw their behavior to other dogs & then my child....The complete lack of concern from ownership after a child was injured was shocking. Frankly, they are fortunate we chose not to escalate the situation further. Parents should absolutely be cautious visiting here with children or pets. An off-leash dog with territorial behavior has no place interacting freely with guests. Absolutely shocked and the owner should be ashamed of his actions & response (or lack there of) to the situation.

When we checked in and got to our room, the property felt completely empty. We were the only guests we could see, which made the whole place feel eerie and uncomfortable. We walked around the entire property and saw no one. There were only three cars in the parking lot, including ours and the front desk employee's car, yet we were told they were "fully booked" when we asked about moving to a larger room. The room itself was not great. The bed is extremely hard and squeaks with every movement. On top of that, the AC does not work. We told the front desk before leaving for dinner about the AC and were told someone would come fix it. When we returned, the room was even hotter than before & it felt like walking into a sauna. The windows don't open, so the only way to get air in is by opening the doors, which obviously lets bugs in. The "free wine tasting" was also frustrating. At check-in, we were told that we would get complimentary tastings at the tasting room. When we went to the tasting room, we were told they were "too busy" for tastings and that we would need to buy glasses of wine instead. We didn't want to make a scene, so we ended up purchasing a bottle and a glass, which came out to $85 & we never received the tastings we were told were included with our stay. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Between the uncomfortable room, broken AC, lack of guests/staff on the property, and being denied the complimentary tasting we were promised, I would not recommend staying here. Do not let the 4.6 rating fool you.

We used the pool/hot tub. I peeped in the exercise room plenty of activities for all. We didn't dine at the property, but the bar was fully stocked and I did enjoy a delicious Old Fashion one evening. My only complaint: as we stayed 4 nights there was no room cleaning and we ran out of towels and toilet paper. We were informed by staff rooms were cleaned every 3 days. Our room was never straightened or checked on and when we ran out of toilet paper I was informed by staff: "please come to the front desk as I am the only person on duty presently." I believe that this hotel would benefit by placing a placard regarding the checks on rooms, refill on towels/toilet paper and emptying of trash cans so guests are aware of the situation. I'd rather sleep in a tent with good morning coffee than sleep in a luxury hotel with crappy morning coffee. The big gripe is that there was no coffee machine in our room. It was an espresso machine. Instructions for use were three cryptic images that made no sense. They looked like diagrams you might find on an extraterrestrial space craft. I inserted one of the four thimbles of espresso , which I mistook for instant coffee into the hole a bit crooked and when I lifted the lid to adjust it, it fell down inside the machine. I tried again and the second thimble fell inside the machine. So then I delicately inserted the 3rd thimble and it got in place ok. Still not knowing it was espresso I used a full cup of water and it made for a nasty watered down tasteless drink. Also the thimbles come in two colors. One color is decaf-- but they don't tell you which color is decaf. I inserted the 4th thimble and used 1/4 cup of water. It tasted nasty. Then my wife said, "Where's my coffee?" I told her it's all gone. She was sad. So I struggled to dismantle the machine and dig out the two unused thimbles but then I couldn't put it back together. We figured to heck with it. We will wait until the maid cleans our room and try again on day two. I went to the lobby assuming they would have complimentary coffee. BIG FANCY LUXURY HOTEL AND NO COMPLIMENTARY LOBBY COFFEE. That's nickel - dime bs. We had to dress and drive into town for coffee. I was too upset to buy their restaurant coffee. I found the maid down the hall. I asked her if she could help me reassemble my espresso machine. She said she did not know how to- which means she can't ever empty out the used thimbles. She gave me a brochure but it didn't contain any assembly instructions. We left for the day touring the region. Got back late. The maid had come and made our bed. The maid never touched our dismantled espresso machine. She did not put it back together and she did not leave us any new thimbles of coffee or more creamer. It's going to be a long three days without our morning coffee. One other gripe. At the bar one evening I ordered a shot of tequila. I specifically asked for NOT top shelf. I didn't know the brands and couldn't see the labels from my stool. He picked one for me. I said I want in NEAT. He asked if I wanted it cooled. My mistake - I said sure. He poured my shot into a tumbler of ice which melted. I got a glass nearly full. I was pleased at first. I thought he'd given me a healthy pour. I was wrong. I got a glass of watered down tequila that tasted just as bad as my watered down espresso. The cost for a shot? = $16!!!! PS if you want a great breakfast reasonably priced, and great coffee, drive a couple miles to Joe's in Templeton. .
