Let's start off by saying the experience of working with Genesis to clean our home was very professional, courteous and affordable. Arcelia, showed up on time and cleaned our house for almost 8 hours non-stop and while refusing to accept a gratuity. She paid close attention to all of the little details in each room before moving on to the next. Worst cleaning experience. We hired this company to clean our new house prior to our move in. I was very specific with the items I wanted them to focus on. They showed up two hours late, I wasted so much time waiting on them. When I called Tina she said oh, it's not her fault one of the girls didn't show up. Wow! It would have been nice to let me know, as I was driving from 35 minutes away, but nope, it's not Tina's problem. We hired them to deep clean our 4 bedroom house. 2 ladies, 4 hours for a total of 8 hours of cleaning. Keep in mind the house was empty and already in clean condition other than renovation dust downstairs. The only thing they did was vacuum upstairs and sweep the wood floors. Dust was still everywhere. I have a feeling they just sat outside for the afternoon enjoying our great backyard. I am so disappointed. We had new baseboards installed and painted 2 days prior to their cleaning, and now some were caked with dirt. I asked for the spiderwebs outside the front door to be cleaned, they didn't touch them. Avoid this company. The owner takes no responsibility for her workers' poor service nor attempts to make the situation right. Please see photos. read more

I scheduled this company for a move-in cleaning, and wasn't exactly pleased when I started to move in to my new house. There was dust (and hair!) still in the cupboards, cobwebs under the sink, dirty blinds, etc. I wish the ladies would have asked for more time to clean if they needed it, but it seemed like two people for six hours in a small three-bedroom home would be enough. In the end, I asked for a small refund, which the boss agreed to. She said she would bring it by. However, instead of bringing the refund herself, she sent the two cleaning ladies! It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I went with this company because of all the great reviews, but I had a disappointing experience. read more

Finding a housekeeper that you can trust, that will do a meticulous job of cleaning, and they will treat your home like a special and respected place is nearly impossible to find. But I was fortunate to have been referred to Agustina nearly six years ago as a potential cleaning service. Augustina has a couple different housekeepers come the first couple years and they always did a terrific job. Their prices were very fair, and just as importantly, nothing, I repeat nothing was ever missing from my home. Initially we were in Rancho Santa Fe, then moved to Carmel Valley. When we moved, Agustina assigned Maria to focus on our home. We had the service come every other week for a couple seasons, but generally had her come once a week. It has been an enormous help, and o would recommend Genesis without reservation. We would use them forever, but we are now moving out of state. read more

Genesis cleaning service is top notch. Tina was excellent in her response time to my unusual situation. I had a tenant destroy my apartment leaving walls/ceiling/floors/appliances/bathrooms in a state of disgust to the point where contractors would not work in the apartment until something was done. She and her team powered through it working 10 hours on one day and coming in on a holiday to get it done for me in a very timely fashion. Faster than anticipated renovation and move out - needed to ready a 1200 sq ft. house for showing and sale single-handed. Thought about saving money and doing the cleaning myself - have to say, I am so happy I called. Reasonable rates for really hard work - they got the tops of cupboards and all the shelves, not to mention the windows, screens and sills look AMAZING. Today I had 2 cleaners come today for the first time to clean my home. I was not there for the cleaning but it was great to come home to a clean house. Every room was cleaned from top to bottom and their attention to detail was great. I highly recommend Genesis cleaning. Tina was very responsive and arranged for two people to come out and do a deep clean on a weekend. Maria and Juana cleaned the whole house thoroughly and went above and beyond my expectations. The kitchen, restrooms and wood floors were spotless. They even asked me if I wanted to use Bona or Mr. Clean on the wood floors. In the past I have used new cleaning service each time since I was not happy with any of them. Maria and Juana were very hard working, polite and pleasant to work with. They took the right amount of time to clean the 1400 sqft, 2 level house and the rate was very reasonable. As an out-of-town owner of property used as vacation rental when we are not here, I have been very happy with the dependable service provided by Tina each month and the extra care her staff takes to do the precise things I ask of them and the attention paid to every detail. Last year was our first year of using this service after sudden departure of previous housekeeper. Our renters mostly return each year, have very high standards, and have let me know in the past when they find anything wrong, so it has been a huge relief to me to have this job being done well.
