Check-in was quick and easy, and the staffs I interacted with were friendly, professional, and helpful. Many appeared to be younger employees, but they handled their responsibilities well and never made me feel pressured or subjected to excessive sales tactics. I also appreciated the variety of on-site activities and amenities available throughout the resort, which made it easy to stay entertained and enjoy the property without having to leave. I did experience some delays when requesting shuttle service through customer service, but I ultimately chose to drive myself and found parking to be convenient and readily available. Although the pre-arrival process and customer service could use significant improvement, my on-site experience was pleasant, enjoyable, and much smoother than anticipated.

The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with great appliances, cookware, and utensils, which made cooking for a large group so easy. The sunsets were incredible for our photos, and it felt like the farm had a new surprise waiting for us every few hours. We fed the animals, made papas con huevos with fresh farm eggs, picked herbs from the garden, and even took home avocados plucked straight from the trees. We also took the botanical dyeing class, which became my dad's first-ever art project! Ernesto was a fantastic host. He taught us so much about the farm and the dyeing process, and he was thoughtful, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our entire stay. It was truly a gift to spend our engagement weekend at Firefly Grove. We would love to return, whether it's for another art class or simply to relax, recharge, and enjoy everything the farm has to offer.

The farm has beautiful flowers of every kind, we got to hold chickens, feed rabbits, and we were offered select fruits I've never even heard of picked right off the vine/tree... We talked, laughed and experienced nature that the Firefly Grove team has so tenderly cared for. Their livestock guardian dogs were extremely well behaved and sweet. I'm definitely coming back in a few months for the summer tour because each season has different flowers and fruits. Just bring a sun hat + some good vibes and you're in for a wonderful time.

They have various types of room available. We have the lakefront view room which was really nice and calming to look at the lake, the mountains, and to just allow the kids to look at the boats. We didn't eat on site since we had plan for various places to eat nearby such as Buona (a fresh pasta place) which is next to Wynston's (a local ice cream with delicious local flavor such as roasted pineapple with cinnamon). This place is a good midpoint to Legoland and SD Zoo Safari Park. The only deduction to rating is due to the lacking guest services agent while checking in. The lady manning the counter was not welcoming, no smiles, and seems to just be annoyed. So much for a nice place when the guest services agent doesn't seem happy to welcome eager guests. Was not even offered welcome drink and I didn't bother to ask less getting more attitude.

They told me over and over that they offer shuttle service to and from golfing and their restaurant which is less thank half a mile away. Walking distance. When I called for them to pick me up, the girl at the restaurant never got a hold of someone so I waited. When I went back she's like no one answered and I said well were you ever going to tell me? She calls again 3x no answer. I call with my phone some guy answers. Said that someone from the restaurant needed to call. I pass the girl the phone. I hear him tell her we are busy and can't pick anyone up. He was on speaker. She noticed he was being unprofessional and she took it out of speaker. Get back and talk to a manager Andrew to tell him the experience. He basically sweeps it under the rug and said he was the only one there and he didn't answer the call. Other reason for low rating is the wait time in the counter. Seems like There's a lot of people in the back but only one person helping. People had to wait for bikes and check in checkout. It was a bit of a cluster. Overall nice stay. The cleaners and maintenance crew were super nice and friendly. Worth the money paid for the experience and the amenities.

My wife and I self-managed bookings when we got started, but after Cardo took over our net income increased, even after paying their fees. Rich has also been particularly helpful in solving some serious problems. We had a maintenance issue while a guest was staying during the height of the pandemic and we were out of town traveling. Their connection with beach and bike rentals for free equipment was so helpful and a real bonus. A little construction in our place had not been finished and Bluewater generously offered some credit back. If you are looking for a place to stay on the water, check with Bluewater first, they will take care of you!

I offered to pay. After each contact they noted that they would get back to me immediately. They have FAILED each and every time. I have never heard from them. I guess after they have their rental money, they don't need to respond. Very disappointing for such an expensive vacation. DON'T USE THEM.
