Thank you Dante for installing a new EV outlet in my garage. I had another electrician intall my EV outlet in my new house that came pre-wired already. The other electrician left one of the hot connection on the outlet loose causing the insulation on the outlet to melt and the insulation on the L1 & L2 wires to melt as well. When Dante came over the house and investigated the damaged outlet and saw what had happened and the cause. He told my wife & I that we were lucky that it didn't cause a fire. Dante had previously installed an EV outlet at my old house with no issues. Now that Dante had repaired and installed a new EV outlet in my new house I can sleep well at night again. read more

Dante Santos of Genesis Electric just installed a 240V outlet in the garage for my new Siemens Versicharge car charger (for my new electric car, a Nissan Leaf). He responded promptly to my initial call, and when he learned that I work in SF (but live in Crockett), offered to come out on Saturday to take a look & give me an estimate. He spent at least an hour there - at first, he observed that my electrical panel was full, and since the charger needed 30 amps, he needed two slots. (So this sounded expensive.) Then he started asking me what was hooked into each switch; we tested them all - I turned on everything in the house, & he worked the switches, one by one. Turns out my contractors who redid the electrical system (licensed electricians, all done w/permits) had not only mislabeled most of the switches, but a few of them only controlled a handful of 4 or 6 watt LED-only ceiling lights! So, after spending probably an hour and half at my place helping me analyze my electrical panel for the estimate - so, gratis - he then gave me a very reasonable bid for the job. He came back two weeks later (again on a Saturday, on the dot of 9 AM - thank you, Dante!) - combined a couple of the underused switches (with room to spare), ran a new line out to my freestanding garage, and installed my charger. All done within about two hours, spotlessly neat & clean, very professional job. I've found my go-to electrician, thank God. I recommend him without reservation. read more

A few weeks ago during a large bathroom remodel at my home in Vallejo, my contractor was not able to properly install a ceiling fan, light, and heater unit. The unwieldy unit was hanging down from the ceiling and my worker said, "you need an electrician" to put this in as it's too complicated for me. I went online and made 4 or 5 phone calls to Vallejo electricians, including one that I had used before. I really didn't want this large electric unit hanging down into the room for days. I left a message for several electricians: only one returned my call in a timely manner. It was Dante Santos of Genesis Electric and he said that he would stop by and take a look at the end of the day. As he said he would, he stopped by and was able to quickly find 2 wiring mistakes that my contractor had made. And even though he did not really have the time that afternoon, he disconnected and rewired the unit property in my ceiling and finished the installation that day.
