Jim is amazing! Super professional and on the dot on time! He replaced three ceiling fans in my house. One in the kitchen, one in my son's room, and one in mine. He made sure that he was clean, all the scraps were picked up and not left around. He ran into a hiccup with the fan in my room. I got a super jeweled fan. After a considerable amount of time he showed me what the issues were about installing that fan and how cheap he thought it was. He gave me the option to get a new fan and he wouldn't charge me extra for the new fan when he came back, and he gave me professional great advice on the type of new fan that would be best for the height of my ceiling. I never thought a fan flushed to the ceiling in the bedroom is ideal. Makes sense bc one hanging low down over my bed is a real bad idea . He came back a few days later, installed my bedroom fan. Jim and Clayton did an absolutely amazing job. We recently bought our first home and needed to do a decent amount of electrical work. We got several bids, but Jim was the only one who took the time to explain to us what needed to be done (in plain terms, he definitely understood we were new to this) as well as listening to us describe to what we needed. Jim is SO responsive and was able to do an estimate for a pretty straightforward job remotely with detailed photographs. I was having a bathroom fan installed. His foreman, Clayton, came out to execute the job, discovered it wasn't as straightforward an installation as it first appeared due to my house's "character". It's a beautiful, but old house with alot of quirks. Clayton was able to reroute the venting system for the fan through the attic. This took some extra time and energy to troubleshoot and execute, but he did the job at the initial quoted price. He also found a dead rat up there (guess I'll be calling pest control next), and very generously disposed of that. He installed my doorbell cam free of charge since he was already there for the bathroom fan install. After being quoted a significantly higher number from another electrician, the price and service provided by Jim and Clayton at 1st Choice cannot be beat. We sent our request in on Saturday and Jim came out the very next day, promptly at 1pm (maybe a few minutes early), he found the issue - as we suspected a circuit breaker needed to be replaced. Jim said the originals were really old so we opted to have them all replaced. He went to the store and replaced the breakers all in less than an hour and a half. Man, Jim save me. Called around 4:00pm and he came by after his last job. I tried everything I read to do for a tripped GFCI. Jim came by and it 5 minutes it was back up with power.
