This was a terrific place that we sent our kids to for a variety of reasons. The staff here is absolutely 100% top notch and truly treat the children in the most wonderful and compassionate way. As a parent, I felt really good about dropping off my kids here as I knew they were taken care of very well. The place is very clean and the curriculum is engaging. I can tell how much my children enjoy it as they do a great job of sending daily updates and photos which really help us get a good grasp of what they do all day. Also, my kids always left with a big smile on their faces. This only happens when the people who operate this place truly care about the children. I can say my experience was about as good as it gets and we absolutely plan on bringing the kids back very soon. I noticed there were some legacy negative reviews that were tied to the previous ownership - but speaking from experience I can say unequivocally that this daycare is absolutely pristine and the right place to send my kids to. We've had some good and not so good experiences with other options and Genesis is without doubt on top of the list as I feel confident they take great care of the kids and keep parents regularly updated with their daily communication. Best place ever Our daughter is there since 2017. Now she is going after care. This is like a family place. My daughter have fun and learn a lot. They help her with homework. That is a big plus. Genesis is the life saver for working parents. They offer extended hours to 7:00 pm! My kid started at Genesis since she was 2.5 years old. And she loves her school. Always full of activities and field trips every month! Although the school itself does not have outside play area, but they always go to nearby parks for play. Genesis is truly an amazing Preschool, I'm so happy to have found Jinah and her beautiful program! I was working from home and trying to juggle taking care of kids also, but it just got to be too much, I needed help for my 2.5yo daughter. A friend mentioned Genesis so I set up an appointment and was really impressed. Right away I could see how cleanly and safe the school was kept for all children. Then as Jinah described her program, their values and goals, I just fell in love. It was everything I could have hoped for, and more than I could have imagined with her incredible experience in child education. My daughter is sooo happy everyday, she loves her teacher and is always talking about Ms. Maggie. She gets to do even more activities than I tried to fit in, and she gets to engage with other kids. They have fun outside at the playground and even do fieldtrips! And when she gets home I have the energy to play and have fun too. I sent my two kids to Genesis since they were 2.5 years old. The staff are super friendly to the family and kids. The place is big, has many classrooms, and has a big gym (open space) for kids to run around and do exercises. Genesis is right next to school #4. My kid's kindergarten teacher told me that they received many kids from Genesis, and those kids were usually well prepared for kindergarten. My youngest is graduating from Genesis this year, but they still go to Genesis summer camp. I highly recommend Genesis. read more

I cannot thank Genesis Preschool and Academy enough for all their support and hard work they put in. They genuinely care about our children and want to see them succeed. Jinah and all her staff, especially Samantha, are the most pleasant and caring teachers I have ever come across. They care for each and every child as if they were their own. They are so creative in teaching and helping our children not just school work but with social and life skills as well. The school is clean, neat, welcoming and supportive. They encourage students to help and care for each other. My son came to them for help with virtual learning during COVID and Jinah noticed he was struggling very much and not learning anything. I withdrew my son from public school and he blossomed at Genesis! I kept him there till 2nd grade. He came to love science because of all the hands on learning and experiments, and he learned to play the keyboard! he overcame his shyness. He was exposed to a superior and richer curriculum than public school. They offer the best after school programs and summer camp as well. My son is in 3rd grade now in public school but he still enjoys going there for tennis and chess classes. He even just wants to stop by and say hi and see if he can hangout with them in aftercare. We have been with Genesis since 2019 - starting with pre-school aftercare. Yes they offer aftercare AND they transport your child from the Fort Lee Elementary Schools to their facility!! We then stayed with them when they offered full time Kindergarten during the pandemic - because seriously who wants to do Hybrid remote Kindergarten... They were amazing - kept everything clean and sanitary and the kids happy and not a single covid case emerged. We are currently back in their aftercare program for 2nd grade - with pick up from School #1. They offer great additional programs like Chess, Robotics, piano and tennis and get the homework done. Although we did not utilize their preschool, based on what I saw for the Kindergarten and Summer Camps , I would expect their preschool to be exceptional as well!!! read more

we started this school this year, i have a 3 year old son, he is very shy ; He didn't talk much because he was embarrassed. They helped us a lot with speaking and toilet training. My son and daughter both attended Genesis Preschool from age 2.5 until 5 yrs old. They now attend Genesis summer camp STEM program. The preschool is excellent and all lessons are fully planned out to make sure kids are fully engaged. My kids made a lot of memories and learned so much from being at Genesis. Amazing school for our 2.5 year old. They have a full time cleaner and evening janitor to keep the school clean and organized. They wipe down the toilets between each child, everything is stored neatly its place and the place is completely dust free We came from a another daycare across town that had 15 kids under 3 years old and 3 teachers. Genesis classrooms have 2 teachers and 8 kids maximum in each class until they are 4 years old. This way everyone gets one on one attention every day! read more

My son has been attending this school since he was 2.5 years old and we love it. I visited many preschools/daycares/private schools in the area before selecting this one. The director Jinah is very involved and knows every student very well. The class sizes are very small so each child gets individualized attention. They go on field trips and have after school activities, music, gym class, outdoor time at the nearby playground and other enrichment programs. There is also a lot of flexibility in terms of number of days, half days/full days and hours if you don't need full time. My son is happy every day and loves his teachers. He has learned so much since starting there and is doing kindergarten level work at age 4. They take an individualized approach with the children and are very accommodating and responsive to parent concerns and requests. The school really does a fantastic job on all fronts (and I have extremely high standards). It is not about seeing the kids as dollar signs as I've seen at many other places. After recently moving to Fort Lee, I was looking all over for a preschool for my daughter. I asked around to close friends and new neighbors and I have heard a lot of good reviews about Genesis Preschool and Academy. I was still hesitant as a first time mom, and spent a lot of time researching, reading reviews, and meeting with different preschools/teachers/directors. I setup an interview to take a tour of Genesis Preschool and was immediately blown away by the cleanliness and attentive staff. After speaking with Jinah, the owner, I found out that she had recently taken over the school in March of 2016. Jinah is warm and very relatable as a mother of two children of her own around the same age as my daughter. She made me feel so comfortable and made my decision to have my daughter attend Genesis Preschool so easy. My daughter gets excited every day she goes to school. She has learned to socialize with other children, and we have made a lot of new friends quickly in our new neighborhood through Genesis' help. A lot of this has to do with Jinah and her amazing staff, as they are constantly coming up with new and fun-filled learning curriculums for the kids. You can also very clearly tell that they are investing a lot back into the school; the entire facility has been renovated and upgraded. Great preschool, summer camp, and after care program! We're currently sending our 3 yr old daughter there (since 2.5 years old) and we all love it. Everybody there is so helpful, genuine, and best of all, caring. On days she's home, we're constantly playing school pretending to be different team members like the director, program coordinator, teacher, assistants, etc. Aside from teaching the appropriate basics, there's weekly music class, soccer, and yoga. And while she's getting a good, well-rounded education, we love all the extras. During the normal school year, there's a field trip once a month. At summer camp, there's a weekly field trip and trip to the swimming pool. And at aftercare, there are different programs they offer by partnering with local businesses (like tennis, chess, art, etc.). They also have a big gym-like room for bad weather days but they also will go out to the park when it's nice out. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

I have my two kids in genesis. They didn't speak English and a little bit shy at the beginning. But Every teacher in genesis is so fantastic! They are friendly, caring and professional. Now they really like to go to school and like their teachers. They learned and played there. You can see the big changes since the first day they were at the school. This was probably the last preschool to tour on my list since the owner had changed and everything was fairly new (which means there were not many reviews of this new schoool). I visited genesis in 2018 to meet with Jinah and I knew I had to send my child here right away. She knew what she was doing for children as a true educator. I had bad experience with few schools when I did tour. I almost felt like I was treated like a customer than a mother of children. But Jinah was different. Very clean and bright environment, not covered with pointless posters, kids are truly enjoying their learning through play and experiences which I think is the most important in young age, teachers seem to enjoy teaching and engaging with each child, they are soooooo loving and caring (I appreciated that the class size was not overwhelming for a child who started going to school for the first time without mommy), and they really care about children individually. They do yoga, music, art, literacy, taekwondo, soccer, etc at school with specialists. They also go on a field trip, go out for a walk, and go to a park. Of course they learn what preschool kids should learn but in the most amazing way. Too long to describe but like they turn their classroom into an airport or like DMV when they are learning about transportation. How cool is that? That blew my mind. I feel so thankful that I found such an amazing place for my child to learn and grow. You know how important first impression is and the influence of first teacher for young kids? My daughter loves school, she loves teachers, she loves her friends, she loves learning and enjoying every moment at school as much as I do. I am writing so much because I want to let other parents know. I had hard time finding a good place to start because I have my background in education and I believe that learning should happen through experiences , not from sitting, writing, and coloring all day long. Our son has been a 4 different centers since he was 5 months, and Genesis is by far the most caring and developmentally appropriate early childhood center. The director Jinah has maintained fantastic communication with families sending us monthly activity calendars, responding to email quickly, and cheerfully greeting us during drop off and pick-up. She has even made us some educational resources to use at home with my child. Kids go on trips and community walks. I get daily pictures of my son participating in various activities throughout the day. Our son gets weekly Karate and music lessons. The activities are varied and engaging. Genesis has a close-knit community feel, where you know all the teachers, and all the teachers know your child. As a teacher myself, I have a very high standard for the quality in early childhood center I want for my son. We are very excited we have found a place we know our child is learning, having fun, and nurtured. read more

Very unorganized and shabbily run. Few instances were son returned with a cut to his inner thigh and when I approached Ms Song, she was highly antagonistic and defensive and suggested I was out to take her to court. Tells you one thing during registration and once you pay, one the fist day of school you find it is totally different to what owner showed you. Some teachers are amazing, other are super lazy. Please don't send your child/children to this facility. The facility is disorganized. The director says she has a teacher aide for the Preschool class when she really does not. There were many promises made but unfortunately broken. Don't know how true this is but a parent told me that a child was left alone asleep on the bus! Also, the director cant seem to keep a Preschool teacher to last in the facility! They're always leaving! My child will definitely not stay at a place like this! My daughter has attended Genesis Learning Center since the summer it first opened. The care, guidance and knowledge the owner has given me of academics and working with each child as and individual has been fantastic. My daughter is transported everyday from her school safely to the aftercare and she is given the proper time to work on her homework as well expanding her knowledge with the additional guidance the Genesis Learning Center provides. They prepare the children for standardized test such as NJ ASK as well as making sure they balance the academics with some fun time. When weather permits they walk to the park to get exercise and if not, they have creative projects and work inside. The teachers truly care about each child as well as the owner. I would recommend Genesis to any parent who is looking for a great, safe, place to have your child, learn, grow and advance in school. My children have been attending the after school program at Genesis Learning Center for the past 2 years. My husband and I both work and we have the peace of mind that the children are being properly transported from their school to the center, and that the teachers there make sure that they complete their homework. The center also provides a number of different activities, including art, dance, and Tae Kwon Do. Even though the center can be a little disorganized at times, I feel strongly that the director and her staff have been very dedicated and working very hard to ensure a safe, educational, and happy environment for the children. The facility is the nicest we have seen - my son loves to practice his piano there and my daughter enjoys playing different broad games with her teacher and friends and showing off her test papers to the masters during her TKD classes. We would recommend the center to any parent whose children need a qualified after school program. read more
