Awesome winery located in downtown Geneva! We absolutely loved it here! It definitely has a cabin feel to it, which we really enjoy. The inside is relaxing and the outside area is super cute with plenty of seating. There was live music when we were there so we sat outside and enjoyed our wine flights while listening to the music. Can't get better than that! Service was great- the girls working were amazing. I liked talking to Lisa. She was really nice! The wine is incredible! We are sweet wine lovers and that's most of their wine menu. They have so many unique sweet wines. I particularly enjoyed the raspberry dragonfruit, black cherry, and orange sangria. I love how they set up the flights. The first wine you list on your sheet is at the top of the flight and then it tapers down to 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I've attached photos. This place has such a lovely atmosphere. I especially noticed the beautiful outdoor seating area, along with comfortable indoor seating both at the bar and throughout the space. The menu is simple and straightforward, which made ordering easy. I truly enjoyed everything the ambiance, the customer service, and especially the wine. My favorite was the mango strawberry flavor. On a nice day, there is not a better outdoor spot than Geneva Winery! And the service and offerings back it up! A small group of friends and I snagged a table and had some beverages (beers, wine) accompanied by some snacks they sell. The weather was amazing and our outdoor table offered the most perfect ambiance and atmosphere. Surrounding us was a healthy mix of young and old, married and single, kids and adults and it made for a wonderful picnic vibe. Sophisticated yet casual. Drinks were modestly priced and snacks were a bit more, as expected. But nothing that made me beer-out. The one thing, however, was the restroom situation. After having dinner in Geneva,we decided to walk around the downtown area and saw Geneva Winery. They have a nice outdoor area with tables and chairs plus live entertainment on the weekends. We decided to stop for a quick drink and listen to the acoustic music group that was playing. It was very warm so we were excited that they offer wine slushes with a variety of flavors. Each slushy is topped with one of their wines. I had the pear slushy and my wife had the frozen lemonade. Both were very refreshing. They also offer wine flights,wine by the glass or bottle and a nice selection of cheese,crackers and dips. Dogs are welcome. The large patio that is filled with umbrella tables and is dog friendly is the best reason to stop at the Geneva winery. They do offer a wine club which is great if you are a regular. It was nice to see a talented family of musicians playing current music acoustically which added to the atmosphere. Johanna was our server and she was super friendly and efficient. Love the area, and outdoor seems nice they have igloos you can rent and stuff in the winter. Makenna was super attentive and friendly. The wines were pretty good and you can bring your own food but they do have some cheese and stuff for purchase. Downside for me was dirty bathrooms and the stools in the tasting room are super uncomfortable, not meant for long term seating I imagine. read more

Winery in downtown Geneva, came on a Saturday and it was busy. Tasting room was packed and took a while to get service for a wine tasting. Wines were good, and the tasting was nice. Ordered a glass of wine after the tasting and headed to the outdoor seating area. This would have been an even better experience in good weather, as it has a lovely outdoor space. Here's the tea: apparently one person was managing this location and the bistro and recently burned out in dramatic fashion. So all the staff are quite new. Despite not really knowing the wines, they were very attentive. This has a YOUNG clientele... the girls next to us were pounding slushies and FaceTiming other friends...loudly. The house wines were not that impressive but thing that would get us to come back (besides the gorgeous ivy-covered patio) would be the wine club because even a one bottle/month membership (12.95) would get you tastings DAILY for yourself AND guests! Tonight when we visited they had many 'visitor' wines including Berlinger and Storypoint, which are both from Sonoma/Napa valley. If we could come every day and taste a rotating selection of these..??? Don't even bother paying for a tasting--just sign up for the membership immediately. read more

This is a fun neighborhood hang out spot! They don't have food but we like that we can bring our own dinner or get cheeses and bread from their fridge. It's nice that it's relaxing and laid back but I will say the service is hit or miss. We have had days where the staff is great and others where it seems like everyone is new. This winery is okay, but I miss the one that closed down the street from this one because they just seemed to have a much larger selection. I'm not going to lie, I am a very picky wine drinker, and I really like sweet wines, but the selection is small here, and they don't have many unique drinks that you can bring home. Last time I came here I ordered a frozen wine. It was okay, but not the best. Basically just a frose. The decor inside is wooden and they have cool barrels. You can also see where they make the wine in room near the bathrooms. They also have a huge patio which is nice, and comfy couch seating, as well (not sure if you have to reserve them, but people were just sitting there without reservations the day I went). The workers were all nice, as well. We didn't order much and didn't really need much service, though. You can choose to go in to order yourself or have a server get your drinks for you. read more

We ended up sitting outside in an igloo but they don't offer the heat lamps unless you pay for them which was kind of a bummer seeing as it was a bit chilly. Just a heads up. I've moved out of Illinois and I was back for a visit. I thought we were in Geneva to visit an old favorite tasting spot. I was wrong but it turned out to be okay. They have a ton of outdoor seating which is so nice! We wandered for a moment and realized we had stopped by at prime time, so we went inside and their team moved a couple chairs for us and we had a great spot outside before we knew it. My girlfriends come here often and I think one has a membership so they knew what they wanted. I had no idea. It had been a long day already and I had a long night ahead of me, so I skipped the wine and chose a fresh brewed iced tea. It was peachy and delicious. They sipped on their favorite wines and we all just loved the surroundings. Live music. Lots of people, but it's a large space so it didn't feel overwhelming. I'm sure I'll be back in a few months so I can start working my way through the wine side of the menu. read more

Dear Yelpers, I know of two "Geneva" locations. One near Cleveland, and this one. Both deserve your undivided attention!! The service was great (even though Kyle was not a fan of Ohio grapes ;) and the wines were plentiful and GOOD. I think most, if not all the wines I tried were a 3.5+ out of 5 and there were a few that stood out as stellar 4 to 5 star wines! Complex, full of flavor, and unique on so many levels. One of the wine makers was even there to talk to us about the process and give us some insight! The venue was nestled right in the thick of things so perfect for grabbing a bottle or a flight and sitting back and enjoying the people watching. Easily one of my favorite stops on the wine tour! Today we came here with some friends during festival of the vine. We all got flights and were having a great time. The wines were okay. I needed to change my son and went inside to find that neither bathroom had a changing station. I immediately felt unwelcome at this establishment. It is no secret that Geneva and the surrounding areas are home to MANY families. So I would like to know the owners reasoning for not having changing tables installed in the bathrooms? Do moms not deserve to hang out with their friends? Are we not allowed to enjoy time out with our kids as paying customers? So instead I had to walk half a mile back to our car to change our baby there. Please do better. Won't be back until this changes. read more

We arrived here at 5:10 this evening. At 5:58 we were told that we had to leave because somebody reserved our table at 6:00. Very unprofessional. We paid our bill and asked to speak to the manager. The manager came by...somewhat defensive & said that the person who seated us should have told us that we had limited time at our table. Unfortunately she didn't. In any case, the manager was not apologetic. I told her I would just YELP it. She then appeared to be annoyed and said that she was going to offer a discount on our wine ( which we had already paid for). I declined her offer and left. She then went to the next table and began talking about us and our dissatisfaction. The wine was tasty but the staff made us feel like second class citizens. I won't go back. read more

My sister brought us to Geneva to look around, try some of the local foods, and to try the local winery, which is where this location comes in! When we arrived, we were walking up to the doors before a hostess stopped us and informed us that the inside area was reserved for some private parties. She was, however, able to get us seated outside and we sat down at a small tabletop with an umbrella. My sister urged us to order our own tasting flights simply because of how cute they were. While I didn't get a good photo, I would agree that they were quite insta-worthy setups with four glasses seating around a pole for easy transport. To order the flights, you fill out a small card with your choices, and that card is added to the top of the pole for easy identification. Our server informed us of a few things they were out of but said we could get any of the wines and even the slushes if we wanted them in our flights. I'm more of a white wine fan so I ordered the Viognier, white sangria, strawberry wine, and black cherry slush. Unfortunately, I only enjoyed the sangria and Viognier in my flight, but I was able to try a couple of sips of some reds that were fine. Once our wines had been sat down we enjoyed a few sips of our first glasses before the weather started picking up and they quickly had to start taking down the umbrellas and ushering everyone inside. We tried to stay outside under cover for a while but once the hail started coming in, we had to step into the prep room to dry off. The inside was packed with people and we had to wait about twenty minutes for the downpour to stop. There was a bit of mass chaos but our server did his best to make sure we were comfortable amidst everything. Just before we left they even invited us out to try a new cabernet that was being bottled outside and it was truly lovely, so I would absolutely recommend that one once available. But overall, I would avoid the fruit wines and heed the warning that if you're used to fancier wine tastings, keep in mind that this is not it. read more

The last 2 times here, we were in the igloo enjoying wine and charcuterie boards! YUM... so fresh! I love The Goat Pinot Noir, very smooth, fruit forward, dry finish. Even my friend who doesn't normally drink dry red wine, enjoyed it. I took off one star because the last 2 times I reserved an igloo, the service was very slow. If we got our bottle faster, we would've had 2, but our time was up. Met up with a gal pal for an impromptu afternoon of day drinking. The sun was out but the wind was brisk. We lucked out by scoring an igloo (is that what they're called? The dome things?) Anyway, it was a perfect way to enjoy the fresh air & sunshine without freezing our tushies off! My friend had stopped at Chi-Cuterie over on Franklin to pick up some snacks. When she arrived, we ordered a bottle of wine with the help of the friendly server who had great recommendations after we told him what flavor palettes we liked. The whole experience was lovely.
