I'll admit, I was pretty nervous going in since I hadn't had a haircut in years. My hair is straight, flat, and typically hard to style, and I was hoping to add some volume and soft curls but wasn't sure what would actually work. Hanh immediately put me at ease with her warm, funny, and welcoming personality. She's genuinely so kind. During the consultation, she really took the time to understand what I wanted and helped refine my ideas into something even better. I walked away feeling confident and excited instead of anxious. I showed her a few inspiration photos, and she didn't just match them--she completely exceeded them. She absolutely nailed the look, even better than I imagined. Do not book with Irma Andrade if you expect honesty and transparency about pricing…read more I was quoted $300 for a corrective color service and ended up having to pay nearly $600. The appointment lasted 7 hours, yet at no point during that time was I informed that the cost was progressively increasing. Only when the service was completely finished and I was about to be blow-dried did Irma suddenly tell me the price was now $500 because it took longer and required more product. That is not transparency. Transparency would have been informing me the moment the service was exceeding the quoted price and giving me the opportunity to approve the additional cost or even giving me a range at the beginning contingent on time/product used. Instead, I was presented with a final amount 75% higher than originally quoted after all the work was already done, leaving me with no real choice but to pay it. A quote that almost doubles without any discussion until checkout is unacceptable. Clients deserve better communication and basic respect when it comes to pricing.

Tristin has been with me through years of big hair changes. She took me from blonde to brunette during pregnancy, and then directly to platinum card blonde, and she is truly the BLONDE QUEEN. I have spent my whole life chasing the perfect icy blonde and never achieved it until her. No unwanted warmth, no weird patches, just flawless, consistent color for 5.5 years straight. I wear extensions too, which adds another layer of skill, and she handles color matching and blending perfectly every time. I just started transitioning back to brunette and even that first in-between appointment looked incredible, which says everything. Beyond her talent, Tristin is kind, funny, flexible, and makes five hour appointments feel easy. I told her my bachelorette was that night, and she amped my big curls that stayed on for a couple of days. I also had my make-up done there with her brother, Patrick. I left there feeling all glamorous. My second session, I wanted to go ombré. I was a little nervous since I have been dark for a few years. But 'lo and behold, I loved how she made my hair look! It looked great on natural lighting with the caramel color weaved in. Again, I felt like a glamour star. Azelle styled mine and my cousins hair twice and both times, we loved it. Her personality is amazing and she is great at making you feel welcome. I like the fact that she is by appointment only so she only concentrate on one client at a time. It is a small studio with street parking. I love their set-up. Azelle know what she's doing when it comes to hair and her brother, Patrick, is a make-up pro.

When I came to Azelle I still had a lot of red in the lenths of my hair and really long roots with blonde highlights. I am now a blonde again. No red. No roots. It is beautiful and natural. Give Azelle a call. You will not be disappointed.

I booked my appointment with her at least a month in advance and was extremely pleased with my experience. She listened to exactly what I wanted and told me what levels of blonde were achievable for my hair. She was easy to converse with and was extremely personable. I shared with Stephanie that other previous stylists have taken at least 8-12+ hours to work on my hair during previous appointments (Because previous stylists have worked on multiple clients at the same time as my appointment). Before my appointment, I did let her know how hard sitting for long hours is tough on my chronic back pain. Stephanie mentioned I would be in the chair for at least 6 hours, and as promised, I was in the chair for that long with no other clients being worked on during my appointment. It's important for me to not only have a stylist who can provide great service, but to also have a stylist whose primary focus is me (For example, I've had other stylists leave me in the chair for hours, not even checking on my foils). She was every bit of attentive and I appreciate this so much more than she knows. Stephanie shared that she typically only sees 1-3 clients each day as she wants to be attentive to each client she works on. I know I will be coming back again as it's important for me to feel prioritized during my appointment, instead of me sitting in the chair for hours.
