I brought my friend and I here after we purchased a Groupon for a massage and a facial. OH. MY. GOODNESS. RUN. DO NOT WALK HERE. I felt calm as soon as I walked into the reception area. Nice, low lighting, it smelled like lemongrass, with tranquil music and comfy chairs. Both Lauren and Genice greeted us as soon as we arrived. Lauren did my facial and talked with me beforehand about my goals, any medication I was taking, and issues with my skin. She tailored the facial to my troubled skin and explained throughout what she was doing and how it would hep or be beneficial for my skin. She used these beautiful, cold rollers on my face and IT WAS AMAZING. I could see how calm my skin was immediately after the facial, and in the days since my skin has been glowing! My friend reported that her facial was geared toward brightening and she loved, and ended up purchasing, the salicylic acid pads Lauren recommended. We both thought the massage was heavenly. I fell asleep and woke up so relaxed and sad it was over! She was intuitive to my trouble areas and noted to me where I was particularly tense after the massage and suggested some stretches. The pressure was PERFECT. She was so helpful and wonderful! After each session, Lauren and Genice ensured we had a glass of water (deliciously infused with orange and lemon) and provided the softest robes. Overall, we left the Massage Boutique feeling like butter. I'll be back without a Groupon for sure. And I'll be bringing my boyfriend. I've never wanted to join a membership place because I saw what it was like for 'members' at the spa I worked at and they got screwed when they tried to cancel. I think I finally found the answer. Not only did I LOVE my massage but I am joining. I know that I can cancel anytime without fees or penalties AND the membership is the same as any of the chain spas so it's not like it's more expensive. I not sure why this place is so highly praised. I checked out this spot because of all the great reviews and I hate to say it... but it was really just mediocre. I got the 50 min massage and 50 min facial. The massage was okay. The pressure applied on the back was pretty good after I asked the masseuse to go harder. But when it came to arms and legs the pressure was super light. In the end I came home feeling super oily...especially the hair on my upper neck was just covered in oil. The facial, was below average. The facialist stalled a lot of time. She hardly did any extractions. No exfoliation. She didn't really seem familiar with common techniques. And again at the end I went home with an extremely oily face. And also I personally do not enjoy being pressured to buy products at the end of a facial..I feel like that's more appropriate when the client shows interest in the products they use. Some positives about this place: The location has a nice ambiance. It's pretty quiet. I liked the heated bed. I do appreciate the the masseuse always made sure I was comfortable. 9/11/21: This was my first, ever experience with waxing my vaginal area. I wasn't "ready" for a full Brazilian (yes, slight chicken - lol), so I opted to try an extended bikini wax. After my appointment with Genice, I now believe not only will I become a regular client but will also bravely do the Brazilian next time. Genice has a very warm, personable business manner. She is knowledgeable about all related processes (including after care). In terms of the actual service, she has a VERY light touch that's extremely important for any waxing experience. During my full appointment (I did both the extended bikini and a separate underarm wax), Genice maintained such an upbeat while calming personality that I didn't even realize when the session had ended. I had a fantastic 80 minute massage with Genice today. It has been a long time since I've had a massage and recently, have been experiencing some tightness and pain. In the days leading up to the massage, I have some questions regarding the website and booking. Genice was very quick to respond and thoroughly answered my questions. During the massage, Genice focused on the areas that were giving me the most discomfort. Afterward, she reviewed areas that were tight and suggested some ways to calm those areas in the future. For the past three years I've lived in Hawaii. I've gone to several fancy resorts and had massages. However, this was by far the best massage I've EVER had!!! My lower back feels amazing and it's been achy for quite some time!! I also got a facial, waxing and eyebrow tint. The facial was very nice and she did a good wax job. I hated the tint and wanted to cry bc even my 12 yr old told me I look like a cartoon bad guy. So for that I can NOT give 5 starts. But the massage is worth 5 stars hands down. Tinting just isn't for me I guess cause these puppies r BLACK not the light brown I was hoping for. So I'll be a recluse for a few days until it fades! I was very warmly greeted and my treatment was phenomenal! Having worked in the industry for many years and frequently receiving spa treatments, I can honestly say my treatment here was the best! I tried the Shea Butter Rapture body treatment. My therapist was attentive and didn't miss a knot, and was very accommodating when I asked her to adjust the pressure. I made an appointment in September and they sent me a confirmation email with parking direction. A few days before the massage, I received a call that they are not doing any massage sold on Groupon!!
