This is the first one-star review I have EVER written, so that should speak to how upsetting my interaction with this company was. Unfortunately, the management at Genie Car Wash does not seem to care at all about having happy customers. I had an issue with the tape used leaving a very difficult to remove residue when in previous months I had never had this issue at this location. I brought this to an employee's attention after it was an issue multiple times, and she proceeded to act like I was lying about the information I provided. Eventually she did take my information down saying she would pass it on to the manager, but I never heard from anyone, so I don't know that my information was even passed along. My husband stopped by and got the contact email for the management team. I sent a long email regarding my concerns. I received an emailed response within 6 minutes saying that the manager for the area would be able to help me get the residue off. I went there, and he did so, but I was left incredibly frustrated by my conversation with him as he insisted, just like the first employee I had spoken to, that the tape must have been left on for a while, even though I kept explaining that I took the tape off right away and that he was welcome to look at the camera footage on-site for that day to see that I did so. My main purpose of the conversation was to find out what would be done differently to ensure this minor part of the operation does not cause everyone a large inconvenience in the future, but the discussion really just went in circles. Though he had a positive demeanor, the way he talked about my concerns felt so invalidating that I left the location in tears. The following week, after collecting my thoughts, I reached back out to the management email to let them know that my husband and I wanted to immediately end our relationship with Genie Car Wash because we both felt strongly disappointed by how the situation was handled. I asked that they please let us know when we could expect to be refunded for the second half of this year. What's sad is that my husband and I had been customers for over a year before this happened, and if they had just taken the time to hear me out and work with me, we would've continued to be repeat customers for years to come. They want to lose hundreds of dollars of business over a five dollar roll of tape? That's up to them. I was hoping that we would have been able to settle it between us, but instead they decided to ghost us after my email. I even sent a follow-up email, but again no response. From their lack of response, I can see they do not prioritize retaining their customers. If they had taken responsibility and just refunded us for the 6 months we are clearly not going to be using, I still wouldn't have gone back, but I would have at least respected how they do business. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced at a car wash. What should have been a simple visit turned into a month-long headache because of what appears to be an error on their end, yet every interaction made me feel like I was somehow the problem. I originally came in on the 30th after receiving a text coupon for 50% off a single wash. When I arrived, I was told the coupon wasn't working in their system and that I was already the second customer that day who had tried to use it. They told me I could still get the discount if I paid cash, which I didn't have. Instead, they offered me 50% off a monthly membership. At that point, the process had already taken much longer than expected and I just wanted my car washed, so I agreed. The woman helping me was initially very nice. She went to put the membership sticker on the inside of my windshield, but I had recently had my windows tinted, so I asked for the exterior sticker instead. I believe this is where something went wrong, because the new sticker number apparently was never properly connected to my account. For the entire next month, every time I tried to get my car washed, the sticker wouldn't scan. Every visit became the same ordeal: an employee would come out, tell me my membership was expired, and I would explain that I had just purchased it. Then I'd spend around 20 minutes waiting while they searched their system, told me they couldn't find anything, said their manager was out of town, and generally acted as though I had somehow caused the issue. I repeatedly had to show my receipt just to prove that I had paid for the membership. Eventually, after enough back and forth, they would give me a "free wash" so I could finally go through. Calling it a free wash was particularly irritating considering I had paid for a monthly membership. They weren't doing me a favor by finally allowing me to use the service I purchased. Not once did anyone seem particularly interested in actually fixing the underlying problem so I wouldn't have to go through the same thing again. Instead, I was repeatedly treated like an inconvenience. On my final visit on the 31st, apparently the membership hadn't even auto-renewed, despite that being what I understood I had signed up for. Then I was told that the membership associated with my sticker belonged to a man with a Ford. I do not own a Ford and have no idea who the man they named is. At that point, it was pretty obvious there was a problem with their sticker/account system or how my membership had originally been set up. Yet once again, the attitude was as though I needed to explain or solve their mistake. After dealing with this repeatedly for an entire month, I finally asked what the hell I was supposed to do because there was a car directly behind me and their gate arm was blocking me from moving forward. The employee then acted like my frustration was completely out of line, while ignoring the fact that I was literally stuck there because of the same unresolved issue I had been dealing with every time I visited. Customers should not have to spend 20 minutes proving they purchased a membership every time they want a car wash. They shouldn't have to repeatedly produce receipts because the business can't locate their account. And they definitely shouldn't be treated rudely because employees haven't been given the tools, training, or authority to resolve a recurring problem. I gave them multiple opportunities to fix this and was met with the same dismissive attitude every time. Do not recommend. A car wash should not be this difficult. If their system doesn't work properly, that's something they need to fix internally instead of repeatedly making the customer feel like it's their fault read more

I think the service is good, I just don't think the manager or whoever I spoke to is. I did the monthly promotion for one month and I went to the car wash today because it expires tomorrow and I was waiting on a credit card to come in so I could put a year on it because it's cheaper. However it wasn't in, but I was going to get my car washed one last time for this month and then that manager says Nope we canceled your membership. I didn't say I wanted to cancel it, he told me it expires tomorrow and I said okay don't renew it on my current card I have a new one coming in on Monday. Nope that wasn't good enough he said cancel your card you can't get a car was and I said that's pretty sleazy, and then what really got me , he just grinned at me as though he had his win for the day. I'll never understand how a true business owner makes their customers adversaries. Oftentimes it's never the owner it's usually a manager that needs that feeling of power. So Monday I'm going to find another car wash that won't look for any opportunity to make a jab but instead someone that treats people like customers instead of enemies. My advice, skip this place if you don't like dealing with insecure people that have a need to use you for a pawn for whatever bothers them at the moment. WOMEN BEWARE. Please avoid this place like the plague. The car wash quality is actual trash quality but my biggest gripe is with the workers! I just wanted a simple basic wash on my way to work. The male worker on the morning on 7/24/26 took over my screen for me and tried to sell me on a membership. I politely declined. He then insisted it's better and on sale. I said no again. He then said "look at how dirty your car is basic won't wash this off" I said no a third time and asked for the basic wash. He just stared at me and asked a FOURTH TIME. I said "no just a basic wash please" and he gave me the grossest intimidating look. As a woman, when you tell a man "No." And it's not accepted and you are questioned repeatedly, it makes you incredibly uncomfortable. I will NEVER return to this carwash. A newer and nicer carwash is being built down redhill and I will be going to that one or any of the other 7 car washes in the area. read more

In July, I let the manager know that my mirror had been broken off while going through the drive-thru wash. He immediately said he'd contact corporate to get a replacement, which I really appreciated at the time. But since then, I feel like I've just been getting the runaround. No one has called me once, and every time I stop by to check in, I'm told they'll let him know I came by -- yet I never hear back. It's been three months now, lol, and I would've just replaced the mirror cover myself if I had known. Today I went ahead and ordered on Amazon for $25 and it will arrive in 2 days. Not a big deal. The manager never should have offered to replace it if they didn't mean it, because it ended up wasting my time and leaving a bad impression. If you get the unlimited washes, it's freakin great!! If you just come every once in awhile ... they'll try to sell you the membership. Blah! But the wash is great bc it's never stupid crazy busy to the point where you can even vacuum (go green is an example of where you don't have spots to vacuum). Their machines and soap are much newer compared to go green so I've decided to come here rather than the wash down the street. Cheapest wash is $10. If you aren't a member, they'll try to sign u up for unlimited best ultimate wash for $10 during that same first visit. Then you gotta cancel 10 days before the 30 days is up. I'll prob downgrade to the $20 basic unlimited washes bc I go here more than 2x a month but yeah ... I like the complimentary microfiber towels. read more

My fiancé has been a loyal member here for months, but after tonight's bizarre experience, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. We have a monthly membership, and while going through the wash, we had placed my daughter's car seat in the truck bed. After finishing the wash and pulling into the vacuum area, we opened the bed to find the car seat missing. I panicked, thinking it must have flown out, so I went to ask the staff for help. To my shock, one of the employees casually admitted, "Oh yeah, my bad, I took it out." No one had informed us beforehand, during, or after the wash. Had I not gone to vacuum, I would have had no idea where our property had gone. When I questioned him, another staff member simply said "good job," as if removing a customer's belongings without permission was acceptable. At the very least, if there were safety concerns, someone could have politely communicated that before we entered the wash. Instead, my property was removed without notice, handed back nonchalantly, and the employee even covered his name tag before walking away. The lack of professionalism and accountability was astounding. Up until this incident, I would have said the car wash quality is fine, though the vacuums are weak and underwhelming. But after this experience, the customer service has completely ruined it for us. read more

I've been going to Genie Car Wash for over a year now. I actually commute from Irvine because, up until recently, it was the best car wash I had found since living in OC. I even had a membership before but cancelled it and still continued to come back because I liked the service. Every time I came in, one of the younger employees would ask me if I wanted to renew my membership. I always declined. Today he asked again and told me, "You've been here before, just renew. I'll only charge you $18 every month." I made sure to double-check with him that it would actually be $18 a month, because the last time I asked about renewing they told me I would be double charged since I had been a member before. After he charged my card, he smiled and said, "Don't forget to cancel before we charge you $31 every month. Take advantage of this month." That's when I realized what just happened. I felt completely misled. If I had known it would go back up to $31, I would have never agreed to it in the first place. It felt dishonest and like I was pressured into something under false information. I've been a loyal customer for over a year and even drove out of my way from Irvine to come here. Unfortunately, this experience ruined it for me. This will be my last time coming here. read more

Signed up for the membership at Genie Car Wash in Tustin and honestly it's been a great deal. You can go through twice a day, they offer free microfiber towels to dry your car, and the vacuums have great suction. It checks most of the boxes. The employee who helped set me up with the membership was super friendly and made the whole process really easy. Everyone I've interacted with has been nice overall. Compared to my old membership at Fast 5, this place is way better. I used to hate the insane lines at Fast 5 and the fact that people didn't know how to put their cars in neutral, backing up the line even more. At Genie, I've never had to wait. Maybe one or two cars ahead at most, but nothing like Fast 5 where you're backed up into the street waiting 30 minutes for a 5-minute wash. Now for the downsides, nothing major, but worth pointing out. You do have to do a good amount of drying after the wash since the dryers don't get everything. There's no place to hang your mats for vacuuming and no small air gun to get into tight spots, which would've been a nice bonus. That said, they do give you a free air freshener every time (I was supposed to get those at Fast 5 too, but never actually did). Overall, the price is fair, it gets a lot of the grime off your car, and it's convenient. A few small upgrades and this place would easily be a 5-star car wash. Still, I'd recommend it to anyone who's tired of the corporate feel and hassle at bigger chains like Fast 5. read more

This is a self wash business. There are employees at the start and finish to assist if needed though. I had come across a first time deal for a free wash, so we came to check it out. It was quick and easy, and starting at $19.99 for unlimited washes. We used the vacuums too and they are super strong. It made it that much easier to vacuum the inside of our car. Unfortunately, for the last 3 weeks we've noticed the tires NOT being clean. Also noticed the price went up, so we went an again and asked staff if they were aware of this? 2 of the staff told us yes, and that they'd been telling management but they hadn't fixed it. When we talked to the manager he said he'd just washed his car and it worked. We know it hasn't worked in awhile because we do 3 cars in our family and all agreed. I would have been more understanding had he just said something like we're waiting on a part but you could tell he was flat out lying. That's when I confronted on raising the prices n cutting the service. My issue is if he will lie about that, what we clearly see, what else is he lying about that we don't see. read more

Price is nice for what you get. I bought a membership but the few times I've gone, there has been a foul smell coming through my car while going through the wash. When they don't bleach/clean the wash area enough, it starts to smell like that. I don't want my car to smell like that so I will most likely not be renewing. read more

THIS IS NOT A TOUCHLESS CAR WASH AS ADVERTISED. A touchless car wash means that it doesn't have the big strip shammy machines or the rotating brushes touching your car. Just high-pressure soap and water jets with a big drying blower at the end. This is important if your car has PPF (Paint Protection Film) or has a car wrap on it. Every PPF installer and car wrap manufacturer tells you hand wash or touchless ONLY, or it can wear down or ruin the product. After spending 4k+ on PPF, do you really want to screw that up? Because I don't! That said, if you don't have PPF or a car wrap, this is a really good automatic drive-through car wash. I would give them a 4.5 star rating. Prior to the PPF on the new car, I had been to a lot of the drive-through car washes in the area with my old car. My wife is a monthly subscriber/member here for her car. It is very convenient, reasonably priced, and it does a good job. The provided damp towels are great, and vacuums are strong. They also provide little air freshners. Bring some paper towels or microfiber cloths and windows cleaner for your inside windows, though. I would recommend them if you are looking for a place to try. I used them myself with my old car. I would be willing to change my review score if they take the "touchless" moniker off of their website and YELP description. It's important to be accurate and honest. I would be upset if I drove here because it is listed as touchless, and then I find out it's not upon arrival. read more

On the days that my car needs a bath and I don't feel like setting up a car wash out front this is my go to. It's not perfect, but it gets the car clean, sometimes mostly clean when it's really dirty. But for ease and convenience it works. Also love that I don't have to bring my own towels. And there's the vacuum which is way more powerful than my one at home. If you are looking for closer to perfection probably best to go somewhere that does all these things for you. read more

I've been coming here for years and often recommended them but the last two visits recently changed that. I had an experience where a new associate was really pushy trying to get me to sign up for a monthly membership. When I declined he became rude and insulting. The next time I visited I tried using the touch screen myself to avoid the rude service and was told by the manager that customers are not allowed to use the touch screen, presumably bc it takes away the monthly upsell opportunity. This place is different from other car wash places. They provide damp towels for drying the car saving me a hassle when I keep forgetting to bring dry towels. I got a membership and it's super fast and easy. Most of the time, I can finish washing and drying under 5 mins. They have plenty of spots for drying the car while providing damp towels and strong vacuum. read more

Tried about 10 different car washes in like a 15 mile radius and this one is my favorite by far so I signed up for their monthly unlimited wash program which is a really good value! I've been a member for just over a year now and really recommend it. Just washed your car and it rained the next day? No problem just drive on through again! I stop by at least once a week so my car always looks great! A few key things about this car wash: 1) Every single time I come here it's never busy so you don't have to wait or worry about taking a little long with the vacuum 2) Their air freshener is actually really good and I'm always getting compliments on it 3) This is probably the most important thing and what really sets them apart. They stock clean damp towels at each vacuum station which are really great for wiping down your interior as well as any crevices the wash missed. I used to have to remember to bring clean towels to every wash and then take the dirty towels home to wash them and this has saved me so much time! read more

First time here. Had no idea this was here. I happened to be looking for the Taco Bell test site (currently testing a dessert collab with Milk Bar) and saw this massive and sparkling new car wash. It's right next to the TB and by the freeway entrance. I wandered over to read the details of their services. I was impressed with the kind and expert info shared by David and Abe so I decided to go for a wash. They have 3 levels of wash. You can drop in for a one time pay as you go wash or a monthly or yearly membership. I experienced the Ultimate Wish Wash -- featuring RainX, Magic Shine, Lava Falls, Triple Foam, Tire Shine, Wheel Clean and hanging citrus air freshener. Great service, great shine, great scent. My (previously dusty) car and I thank you! This is their 10th location. 1st in OC. I am considering a membership. I was really excited for the new car wash place that just open up, I thought I will not have to drive far for another wash, but the experience is very lacking. The place looks good and new, staff are friendly, and it's fast.
