They fixed my screen protector on my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 within an hour. He was completely transparent about the whole transaction. When I was picking it up, he was upfront about a teeny tiny flaw (wouldn't have even noticed it if they hadn't told me) in the screen. Dealing with this store might be my villain origin story. I originally brought my computer in here for what was diagnosed as a problem with the hard drive. The short version of that is they did the repair but then threw away the old hard drive despite my repeated confirmations that they would keep it so I could attempt data recovery. The manager did end up finding my drive, so I was originally going to have a positive end to the story. But then the SCREWS happened. See, almost immediately after bringing my computer home and getting Windows reinstalled and up and running the computer started just randomly shutting down. After trying and failing to troubleshoot myself. I brought it back in. They said it sounded like a battery issue and they'd get on it.... then, a week later, I got a call from a tech saying he thinks it was a software issue and can I "tell him my password so he could work on it". lol um wut. After a week of basically phone tag trying to get the message to that tech that no, I was not going to be giving anyone my *password*, I get a cryptic voicemail from someone else at the store. I call back--it's the manager; the tech I was working with was "no longer with the company" and had left no notes on their work, so could I let him know what's up with my computer? I give him an update and he says he will get back to me in a few days. A week passed and no update. I call the store. Another person answers--tells me my computer is "unrepairable" and I can come in if I want to get it. I ask about my conversation with the manager and there is apparently no record of that. So I truck over to the store on a day I'm told the manager (who was supposedly now the one in charge of my repair and I wanted to know what the heck was going on) was supposed to be in. The manager wasn't in. But I'm told I can totally pick up my computer if I want because actually, it's "all fixed"! Frustrated and tired of this schadenfreude I take my computer and head home Dear reader, if you guessed my computer wasn't fixed and was STILL randomly shutting off after nearly a MONTH in this store's possession, you would be right! But where do the screws come in? Well, you see, I brought the computer to a different repair company to see if anything could be done, and you know what one of the first things they asked was? "Do you know where the screws are?" Every screw but one was completely missing from the bottom of my computer. Just empty holes and vain hope holding the computer case together. The brainiacs at this store TOOK OUT ALL THE SCREWS HOLDING MY LAPTOP TOGETHER AND DIDN'T REPLACE THEM. Oh yeah, and when I called corporate to cancel the protection plan because there is no way I am ever bringing any tech back to this store ever again, I was told that the kind of repairs I was describing should never have been done in-house, but should have been sent out to the main service center instead. Unbelievable I'm not sure if they were malicious or just wildly incompetent but at the end of the day, is there really that much of a difference? Don't go here. read more

I'm a disaster with cell phones! This time I left it on top of my car. It fell off and got ran over. Matt was very helpful. He quoted me $215.99 and told me 2 hours. It turned out to be 1 hour and quite a bit cheaper. My phone is like brand new again. I definitely recommend this business. read more

It doesn't get better than this! Stopped into the uBreakiFix Pittsford Plaza location because my cell phone wouldn't recognize any cord I plugged into it. I had tried everything I could think of myself to no avail. Was greeted by Angel (Ironically appropriate name) who took my phone into the back for a minute and reappeared with it in perfect working order. Turns out it was dirt obstructing proper connection. Brought my phone in to repair the battery and screen, both were replaced but less than a day later the parts started to malfunction. When I asked what was causing the issue and what could be done to fix it I was told that the issue was due to the screen replacement not being the correct type, the employe walking me through the situation was also very rude saying that the parts not functioning was my fault because I had two hours on social media apps, after that I asked how they would fix my issue, they said it would be an extra $150 (for an issue that was cause by their own part) after that I refunded all the parts they gave me and ordered new parts online for a fraction of the cost and repaired the phone myself, I have had absolutely no problems with the parts I got myself not even any of the problems their parts gave me have appeared. If you are adept enough to assemble ikea furniture order the parts you need online and watch a YouTube tutorial on how to do the repairs yourself, or bring your phone to a different repair store. read more

I went in to get my phone repaired, specifically, to save a ton of sentimental family photos I had on the phone. I had already purchased a new phone because I didn't think the old one could be repaired and when I found out it could, I didn't care so much about the repair as much as I did to be able to retrieve all my photos. The guy told me it would be no problem and they would be able to save my photos and info. I went in a few days later, picked up the phone and paid $160. I then checked my phone and realized all my photos had been wiped out! Of course, I was understandably upset and the guys there just gave me a load of bull about how the phone was "factory reset". Then they told me they don't guarantee being able to save stuff when they fix the phones. Well, if that's the case, they should have said that and had me sign something letting me know that right upfront when I brought it in! Besides, the fact that the original guy had told me it would be no problem to save my stuff! They obviously just put in a new operating system that overrode everything! They could have called me and let me know that what they were going to do was going to wipe out all my photos, so I could have been given the chance on whether to do it or not! But, NO, they just reset my whole system and wiped everything clean! And after I asked to have some of my money refunded, of course, they said NO! SHAME ON THESE GUYS FOR THEIR LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND OVERALL CONCERN FOR THEIR CUSTOMER'S PERSONAL MEMORIES AND THEIR BLATANT DISREGARD FOR ANY GENUINE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!
