Called Dragon Computer Tech Thursday about an issue with my PC. Told me he would try to fit me in the next day. Called him around 330-4pm on Friday and we agree on an appointment at my home at 9am he also asks me to call him at 830. I call him at 830 and now he is leaving town for 2 weeks and can't come look at my PC. When I tell him this is terrible business practice his only response is "It is what it is" and hangs up. Dude strung me along for nothing. If he didn't want to come out he could've just said that and I could've found someone else. I'm extremely thankful to the owner of Dragon Computer Tech. Today he took an hour and half of his time to fix a tuner module for my truck. The mini usb connection was ripped off the processor board and is considered a micro soldering repair. I went to 5 repair shops local where I live and none would touch it. I ended up coming to Rochester for my son's high school event today and seen Dragon Computer Tech was the only one open on a Sunday. I called him and he had me send a few pictures and then ended up stopping by his place where he looked at everything and explained that it would be a very difficult repair due to the size and placement of everything but he was willing to do it. He made his first repair and we check it in my vehicle and it ended up needing an adjustment. Second time work like a charm and he just saved me close to 1k if I had to replace everything. read more

After my cat knocked my laptop off a table, the screen blinked a couple of times and then went totally black. Instead of changing out the screen, the laptop guy made a fairly simple repair. He could have switched out the screens--or told me that he had done so when he had not--and charged me the amount he had quoted. Instead, the cost was significantly lower. I was soooo disappointed. I called him and he asked me to send my laptop to his home and gave me repair service. But after he made some "repair", my laptop was worse than ever!!!! Now he gave the laptop back to me and said he cannot fix it. And once again, my laptop is worse and even can't start up. He was so unprofessional and even don't have the professional equipment!!! Now I send to BestBuy for further repairs which will cost even more money. If you still want his service, it is okay but please be prepared to take the risk that your laptop will become some useless metal. EDIT: This is my first time to post negative review. I STRONGLY suggest to anyone who plans to use this PERSON to repair your computer equipment to be sure and remove any information that is stored in memory before you leave your equipment. I will also STRONGLY suggest that you locate and record the serial number of your equipment to ensure that you are in fact receiving your equipment; not a swap for one that looks like yours. In my experience two of my five Norton Anti-virus licenses were taken and used on two desktops while my computer was in his possession. I had the information stored for my Norton account. Funny thing is I don't even own a desktop. Also the laptop he gave me back isn't mine. Consumer beware because if you're not computer savvy you just might get scammed. read more

This place is a godsend. I'm a college student at the U of Rochester, and my computer broke. The Student IT help desk had no idea what was wrong with it, and told me to take it to Best Buy. Best Buy told me my computer was shot, and the best they could do was get my stuff, but that was it for my laptop. When I came in to get my computer a few days later, Best Buy actually failed to get any of my stuff off, despite telling me they did. In desperation, I found this company. Not only was he able to get all of my data off of my computer, he did what Best Buy and the IT help desk failed to do - get it back and running again. Not only that, but he came on campus to pick up/drop off my computer, which is extremely helpful as I have no car, and ran updates on it. I cannot say enough good things about this company. He did what Best Buy told me was impossible in under 24 hours, and I didn't even have to leave campus. If anyone's having any computer issues, don't bother looking anywhere else. read more

I was having difficulty with my expensive laser color printer and was not looking forward to an expensive fix. Still, I needed my printer to work so I thought I would just have to pay what was needed. Phenomenal service! Our cat spilled water on my 2019 MacBook while we slept--it was plugged in, hissing, and wouldn't turn on. I was working on an article and a lot of code (and i didn't back up...) so I really needed the data saved. We found him online, called with the expressed concern, and he was able to take the laptop in that day. He updated us with photos along the way and was very friendly; after 3 days we picked up the laptop--now working! I came in and the guy was nice at the beginning and then I had two laptops so I was like can you lower the price range a little bit. He was like sure, then I made my an offer and he just invited me out without explaining. What a joke that I drove all the way just to be thrown out. Won't trust the google review anymore. I went to Zeev with a busted laptop, worried I had lost all of my data. While it seemed a simple task at first, problem after problem cropped up. However, never fazed, Zeev was persistent in troubleshooting each and every issue that arose, seamlessly coming up with solution after solution. Dragon Computer Tech is a locally-owned, friendly business. Zeev is a very nice, honest fellow that you can trust with your computer and your files. He does what he says he can do, and and he's very fair about his pricing. He doesn't seem to have a set amount he charges for his services, which tells me that he's either unsure about what he should be charging, or he takes each case one at a time. I don't take my computers to places like Geek Squad because they're just some other corporate, faceless entity that only cares about money. Save your money!! Took my computer in for a repair to the hinge. Ended up with more problems and an "awful" repair job (as it was not fixed) which necessitated me going somewhere else. Prior to this he was supposed to order another part which was to be available in 3-4 days. Ten days later I called and he had not ordered the part and the price suddenly went up to three times the amount he quoted me. After learning my lesson that he did not know what he was doing I took it to a reputable computer service. The techs showed me the cobbled job and laughed at how he thought the repair would last...told me I should demand my money back. No way do not want anything to do with this guy.
