Everything they touch now seems to have a problem. Fillings just fall out, or get abscessed, crowns don't fit properly,and are painful. Veneers pop off over and over...... Its so sad that his practice is dying in his absence.... I pray he sees this in time to save it.

On 1/2/26 the visit for my husband and I was nothing short of unprofessional by Ms. D at the front desk. We did not realize my husband's insurance had changed to Anthem from UHC at the time he had already had the fillings. Ms. D went back and forth with me about she needed the member ID number and the provider number. At the time, she was not going to allow my husband to get his cleaning. I asked her if she would allow him to go back, while I get with the insurance company to get the information. AT first she didn't. My husband got upset and walked out. I was trying to tell her whatever the cost would be it would be paid, just let him go back while he is off from work now to get the services. I provided her with a telephone number I was given verbally over the phone with Anthem. Ms. D calls the number and couldn't reach anyone. She proceeds to say "the policy is we don't call more than two times". I told her don't call anymore, I am chatting with the company and will get her the information. I provided her with the ID number. She insist I give her a provider number to call. As we all know, she could have just went to check online just as another provider did over the phone today with the member number and his date of birth to see he was active. She didn't want to do it. She didn't like that I spoke up for myself and my husband to her, and didn't mind correcting her when she was wrong. I ended up chatting with an Anthem person, and they provided me with the Provider Number and the Member ID. Gave to her, and which she still did NOT contact. Let's guess. the policy. Yeah ok. She first charged $175, then she charged another $625.00 once someone showed her she didn't charge the correct amount. I provided her with my card to charge it. I asked her okay, so when you all file the claim will yall reimbursement me. She told me I needed to get reimbursed by the insurance company. As I was about to leave, Anthem rep told me once the claim is filed, they will send payment directly to the provider and I would have to coordinate reimbursement from provider. I went back inside and read her what Anthem rep stated. Ms. D then says well yeah that's how it would work. She says they have to let the outsourced person know to reimburse. I called back to speak with an office manager. Ms. D says they don't have an office manager. I asked for the owner to give me a call. Ms D replied "she will give you a call". I said well earlier you told me a he. In addition, Ms. D blatantly refused to provide the discounted rate like she added on the $10,000.00 original rate of a future treatment plan. I asked her about the discount being added on today's visit since it was self pay and she goes "since things went the way it did (or something similar to that)....." then mumbled something else. Ms. D is very unprofessional, condescending, and vindictive. I have taken the extra step in researching Dr. Marlon Brown's telephone number, and left a message. As of today, no phone call so we will not be going back there. It is apparent by other YELP reviews, the front desk/office staff is very unprofessional and I'm Not the only one who has such negative encounters with Ms. D. There needs to be an office manager who is not related to or personally know Ms. D. I am requesting my husband's claim be filed, and make sure yall office reimburse me for whatever the insurance doesn't pay. I have already asked Athem the covered percentage for the codes D4910 (80%), D0120 (100%), D3120 (80%), D2392 (80%), and D2330 (80%). I am requesting refund of all monies minus what the "contracted" rate no later than February 1, 2025 or I will be filing a grievance with the insurance company.

Her practice is at Benner & Townsend Dentistry (770-867-3275) in Winder and it is the only place to go if you are looking for somewhere that you instantly feel like a member of the family. That is not hyperbole. The entire office was welcoming and made me feel like I had been a patient there for years and years. Usually you like the doctor but the office staff is "meh". Not here! Everyone was absolutely fantastic. From the person who helped me make my initial appointment, to the person who checked me in, to my hygienist (who I believe said she has been with the practice for 20? years!!!), to Dr. Cyndie herself, to the woman who checked me out. From beginning to end...a completely wonderful, friendly, compassionate experience. My cleaning was top notch. Nowhere along the line did they try and "upsell" me or push expensive treatments or anything on me. I sincerely wish every interaction with providers and professionals was this amazing! Life would be so much better. I honestly can't wait to go back for my next 6-month appointment and I'm telling all my friends and family to switch to Dr. Cyndie Kennedy-Townsend for all their dental needs. You should too!
