He refused to eat very much and resisted taking his medication. He went from energetic and playful to skin and bones in about a month. Our vet had told us he probably didn't have much time left but it happened so quickly. He was my favorite so his departure has left a huge hole in my heart. He would come snuggle between my wife and I at night. When it was cold,he jumped between my legs to keep warm. He would put his paws on my arm at night, even more near the end. Mew was the sweetest cat and had the most precious little meow. Not loud like our other cat or barking like crazy like our dogs when someone comes to the door of a creature roams on the wall of our backyard. I love them all but Mew was my buddy along with our pomhuahua Bear: pomeranian/chihuahua mix). Such a precious little kitty I chose when my kids were in their teens. Pet Haven was recommend by our vet when Baby, our other cat passed over a year ago. They will take care of cremating Mew and returning his ashes to us along with a ceramic disc with his paw prints. The price was dramatically lower when our vet made arrangements for Baby so we were surprised that the price was quite a bit higher when we dealt directly with PHC. Well, what can you do right? The people at the office were very nice and they provide a separate private room with a pet bed where you can say your final goodbye to your precious friend and give them a last hug if you wish. I'm glad I had a chance to tell him how much he meant to me and how much I love him a few days before he was gone. I knew he didn't have much longer to live. Do our pets understand? I believe they do know they are loved. I'm really going to miss my friend.

We were able to drop her off by 10:00 a.m. that same morning. They had a bed ready for her, and we were able to witness her cremation the very next day. When we returned on August 26 for the viewing, the setup exceeded our expectations. London was on the same bed with a blanket over her and looked peaceful. We had about 30 minutes with her and were never rushed. After the cremation, we received her ashes an hour and a half later. Everyone we met was compassionate and helpful. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Not many crematoriums are open on Sundays. I called a number in Van Nuys that I found on Yelp, but the man referred me to Furrever Friends. I'm so glad he did. Heather at Furrever Friends was so kind on the phone and in person. She made the entire process very smooth and easy. She discussed everything with me - their strict cremation process, what to expect with the final package, etc. Honestly, I didn't ask; she just told me. I wasn't functioning very well that day. I picked up Franklin today after only a 4-day wait. At the shop, Heather surprised me with Frank's paw and nose prints on wood and paper! What a thoughtful idea! (I'm sure she told me about it on Sunday, but I really wasn't present.) I almost broke down in front of her when I saw his nose. We used to "boop" that thing! Frank himself is resting in a beautiful wooden box. He's coming home now. Heather, thank you so much for the amazing love and care you showed us! I won't forget you.

I came across this place and they answered my call right away with so much kindness and empathy during such a difficult moment. I truly appreciated how compassionate and understanding they were throughout the entire process. Within just an hour or two, they were able to come pick up my boy, and they kept me updated every step of the way so I never felt left wondering what was happening. They communicated clearly, let me know when everything was ready, and made an incredibly painful experience feel a little less heavy. I also chose a package that included his fur clipping, a paw print, and a beautiful box for his ashes with his photo placed on the front. Receiving those keepsakes meant so much to me and made everything feel a little more personal and comforting during such a heartbreaking time. I'm truly grateful for the care, respect, and compassion they showed both me and my cat. Thank you again for helping me through one of the hardest moments of my life.

I would recommend this place for pet cremation. I was specifically looking for a place that offers…read morewitness cremation. I wanted to see my dog as much as possible before he was gone. I will say I work in the funeral industry so I think I expected everything to be the same as human remains are treated but that's not the case unfortunately. When my dog was picked up the driver seemed like he was unaware of my dog's weight and did not have someone to help or something to help him carry my 75lbs Doberman. My boyfriend had to help carry our baby out of the vet. Your pet is placed into a black plastic bag and is loose in the back of a truck. I think smaller dogs are placed into bins which is nice, but again my dog's weight was given since the initial call. The driver was gentle and kind but I would have really loved if my dog was strapped in or placed into something that kept him from flying around the back of that truck. When I saw him again at the witness cremation he looked good so there was no damage to his body thankfully it just hurt to see him placed into the back of the truck without any restraints of some sorts but I know not all people are as sensitive. That was my baby. The witness cremation only allowed 30 minutes of a small viewing before the cremation I wish it was longer . I'm not sure if they offered longer time I didn't ask but I am still happy with the experience. They allowed me to let him be cremated with some flowers and a small toy which I really really appreciated. Because I paid for witness cremation they would call me as soon as his remains were ready to pick up. I was out grabbing lunch and when they called I had to drop everything to go pick him up because the staff was leaving the crematory. They handed his remains outside and did not have the time to bring me into the building to go through everything they were handing me. I could not check that all was there standing outside. When I got into my car I noticed the extra paw print was missing. Again I work in the funeral industry and I understand working with many families can lead to some things forgotten or delayed but no apology was made they just told me they'd let me know when it's ready. I paid a lot of money so I was hoping all would be perfect but again I do understand things happen. I'm still waiting for that paw print to be done. I liked this place the staff were very kind and the little room used for viewing him was pretty and peaceful. Communication is through text and does take some time for a response but they do answer all questions with care. There was only one urn offered but in the viewing room they had lots of vase urns displayed im not sure if offered. Their website didn't have much info and I felt a little lost through texts and I wish I had the invoice sooner but the whole process was just extremely difficult. Loosing my best friend was heartbreaking. I do recommend this place but wish those little things I mentioned were handled with more compassion. I wish there was a thorough review like this when I was looking for a place so I hope this helps someone and I really really hope my concerns are enough for Gentle Journey to consider making those tiny upgrades I know it would mean so much to families and also if a friend needs a place I will be recommending Gentle Journey. Thank you Zaira and Sonia for helping me .

You would place your pet there and say your proper good bye, the process it feels more complete to me at least ... Scott is very patient and he gives a lot of time, he also has a lot cats, so I think he understands perfectly what every owner is going through, that we didn't just lose a pet. We lost a family. Scott gives a very peaceful and warm energy that you feel like you can entrust your pet with him and he would take good care of your pet. I think that's what every pet owner needs because we feel so vulnerable at a moment like this... Btw, He also doesn't take the payment until he is done with the service.

We have worked with Scott in the past and immediately called him after our fur baby had passed to schedule a pick up. What is truly remarkable about Scott is that he has this Morgan freeman vibe to him. Somehow he brings peace to your heart knowing your pet is in the best hands possible. His prices are very reasonable and affordable if your pet passes after veterinary hours or over the weekend. Scott gives excellent detailed instructions, next steps, and turn around timeframes. There's a reason why he's so highly rated and why everyone recommends his services. He truly is the best and we can't thank him enough.
