    Layla May 2011- June 2026

What a sad day for our family as we had to say goodbye to our 15-year-old dog, Layla. She was such an important part of our children's lives growing up, and now that they are adults, they were truly devastated. If there was any light in this difficult moment, it was Stephen. His professionalism, sincerity, and deep empathy meant so much to us. He explained everything clearly and treated our family with genuine care and respect. One moment that will stay with us forever was when Stephen, thinking no one was watching, gently cradled Layla close to his chest as he carried her to his vehicle. That small, compassionate gesture spoke volumes about the kind of person he is. Despite our heartbreak, Stephen's kindness brought us comfort and even a sense of peace. On top of that, he was the most affordable option we found--we had been calling around all day trying to stay within our budget. If you ever find yourself in this difficult situation, we strongly recommend Stephen. He is compassionate, sincere, professional, and truly cares.

This review is long overdue and i apologize for that, but oh so very much deserved and necessary! Thank you so much to Stephen at Paws Fur the Cause for the great support, service, kindness, prayers and compassion that he gave my family and i through such a difficult and heartbreaking process. My family and i truly appreciate it and are glad we went through not just any cremation service but one that genuinely cares and it shows. My sweet boy, Dude, was my childhood dog who we had for 15 years and was full of personality to say the absolute least. And although he was already a senior at 15yrs old, most agreed that he didn't look or move like it. While we wish he was still Earth side with us, he has made it known that he's still besides us in spirit. Thank you again to Stephen and PawsFurACause for helping us put our baby to rest

Losing our cat was a dramatic loss for the whole family. But the service provided by Paws Cause was great. Efficient, compassionate and comprehensive. Much appreciated.

Stephen took care of my sweet guinea pig Darling last month for cremation. Very accommodating, considerate, and reasonable price- around $200 for cremation, photo paw prints, velvet pouch, and bamboo paw print. My only question was the weight of the ashes themselves as they are much lighter than another service I used for another guinea pig of mine that passed away but maybe that's the process difference (some cremation services have a more grainy than powdery consistency). Other than that very satisfied. Urn not included- ordered from Amazon

At my most vulnerable Stephen really came through for myself and my family when we lost our beloved fur baby. It was about 2am and he was at my door in less than an hour to help us with his loss. He kept me updated thought the process and I got my baby back in no time. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone looking to cremate their fur babies when that time comes. Thank you Stephen for everything

Losing a pet is one of the hardest things to go through, and I can't thank Paws Cause enough for the kindness and compassion they showed my family. They handled my dog Moomoo, with so much care and respect from the moment they picked her up. It was obvious that they truly understand how much our pets mean to us. They were also willing to work with us during such a difficult time, which meant more than I can put into words. They made an overwhelming experience just a little bit easier with their professionalism and genuine empathy. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Moomoo

My Baby Charlie was dying & found this sight in case I ever had to call. I saved his information. I did everything I could fo keep him alive but june 12, 2026 he decided to move on. I woke up at 6am and found him. I was crying & confused and remembered this number. Stephan came within the hour. I didn't know him but welcomed me with a big hug. He took my baby of 15 years in utmost care. When he notified me Charlie was coming hone Stephan gave me a card. It was blank w/ a print. When I brought it home, my son said that's Charlie's nose. Stephan remembered me saying I would miss kissing his nose & on top of the paw print. I got a print of the nose I kissed for 15 years.....I dreaded on ever calling him but happy I found him to take care if Charlie. Thank you Stephan!

Our baby, Coco, was killed by a coyote. Stephen was incredibly compassionate, kind, and professional during one of the most heartbreaking experiences our family has faced--the loss of our beloved Yorkie. He treated both our dog and our family with genuine care and respect, making a very difficult situation a little easier to navigate. We also appreciated the timely return of her ashes and bamboo paw print, which brought us comfort during the grieving process. I am truly grateful for his support and would highly recommend his company to anyone facing the loss of a beloved pet.

We are so grateful for the services of Paws Fur The Cause when our beloved hamster, Alfredo, passed away unexpectedly.  I appreciated Stephen's communication, professionalism, and kindness.  He personally picked up Alfredo and dropped off his paw prints.   The paw prints will be a treasured keepsake and a reminder of how much Alfredo meant to us.  I highly recommend Paws Fur The Cause.

Dr. Kevin is a calming, reassuring presence, even via text. His compassion for these animals and their grieving owners is evident and genuine. He explained every step of the procedure to us, even details we requested, and tactfully addressed the possible outcomes of both the sedation and euthanasia. Even typing the word is difficult. I appreciated his further reassurance that it was the correct decision and at the right time when he saw the gravity of Xena's condition; I had no doubts, but it was still a balm to my heart to hear it from a professional. I was able to pet her throughout the entire procedure and up until the very last moment we assisted her onto the stretcher. I am so grateful I could spend those crucial final moments comforting her. We preferred communal cremation, so the rates were within the ballpark of other at-home services I had consulted with. However the stellar attentiveness, gentleness, and empathy that Dr. Kevin provided, in addition to his same-day availability on such short notice and all of the glowing reviews here, had my heart set on him from the beginning. Another reason we opted for him over other providers is because he is the one performing the procedure, so we knew what--and who--to expect. It felt much more intimate and personal than a service sending "someone" out. I believe this high caliber of care is how Dr. Kevin so seamlessly blends into the moment: he is another source of the palpable love resonating during such an intense, difficult experience. His demeanor was serene and respectful, and he allowed us plenty of physical and emotional space. Even as he was working, his being there felt as natural as any of my family members. Xena had a peaceful passing in her favorite sunny spot in the flowers, surrounded by her loving family at home. It was the ideal resolution for a harrowing situation, and Dr. Kevin made it possible. I cannot thank or recommend him enough.

She helped us walk our precious Stella over the Rainbow bridge in the beauty of silence, reverence, and peace, it was so beautiful. Dr. Erica sent us the most amazing sympathy card a few days later that touched my heart deeply. Honor Pet has not only been there throughout this difficult journey, but their kindness, compassion, professionalism and guidance have meant more to me and my family than they can ever know. Today, Stella is back home at her final resting place, where she belongs...they sent her home to us in this incredible Honor box which carried her remains, a mini glass bottle of her fur, a candle to burn if/when I need to feel her presence, a digital print of her beautiful little "chocolate chip nose" we all loved and adored, a package of Forget-Me-Not seeds to plant in her honor, and a letter conveying their deepest sympathy for our great loss. It was all so overwhelming and thoughtful. If anyone is faced with such a difficult decision as this, and you are like me, confused and doubting whether you're making the right end-of-life choice, I cannot recommend Honor Pet enough. I promise, you will be blessed and given the truth and confidence as to when that right time comes. Stella never suffered, because Dr. Shea went over her symptoms/behavior, but when she started showing signs that she was ready, I recognized them and knew. My Stella no longer is suffering... The devastation over losing a beloved pet cannot be fully described in words, other than this: "Grief is the Price we Pay to Love." I love you my sweet girl, wait for me.

Last week on the 23rd right before christmas, my dog of 14 years passed away at home. I remembered my bsf used FF and I reached out to get their info. I contacted them immediately and was assisted by Heather. She was very kind and helpful over the phone, gave me all the info about the various packages they offer. They offer 3 different cremations packages (private, witness, and communal). I chose to go with private bc witness was more than double the price of private. However, don't be nervous about going with private bc they have numerous ways to ensure that you will be obtaining your pet's remains back even if you aren't able to witness the full process. The private package included a simple urn (a box), paw/nose impression, and fur clipping. In their viewing room, they have numerous urns to choose from and upgrade from the package. Although it was so close to the holidays, I was able to pick up my baby girl the day after christmas. They were kind enough to gift us with a bamboo impression of her nose and paw as an ornament as well. The whole service and communication was truly great. I had no doubt in trusting Heather and her family with taking care of my pet. You can feel how much they care about animals and their passion in helping families get closure and having a beautiful send off for their pets. I will definitely recommend Furrever Friends to all pet owners when it's time to say goodbyes to our fur babies.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about and the care they gave our beloved dog, Sir Perceval…read more Fifteen years ago, we used this company when it was still Guardian Animal Aftercare for our two rescue dogs, and the compassion we experienced then stayed with us all these years. When Sir Perceval passed away, I immediately remembered them and reached out again. From the first phone call to bringing him home, every single step was handled with kindness, professionalism, warmth, and genuine compassion. Our aftercare specialist, Laura, at the Sun Valley location, stayed with us through the entire process and treated both us and our beloved pup with such dignity and care. The visitation experience was absolutely transformative for our grieving hearts. When we entered the room, Sir Perceval was resting peacefully on a soft bed, covered with a plush blanket, he looked like he was sleeping soundly, covered in a cozy blanket with flowers carefully arranged around him. The room was softly lit, peaceful music played in the background, and there were comfortable sofas where we could sit with him as long as we needed. We cried, hugged him, and said goodbye in a space that felt safe, loving, and deeply respectful. The thoughtful details meant everything to us -- when picking up his cremains, as emotional as it was, we appreciated the elegant, color coordinated packaging, the velvet bag his urn was wrapped in, the lovely engraving, his precious paw print. The service provided was exceptional in every way. In one of the most painful moments of our lives, West Coast Pet Memorial gave us peace and a final memory of our beloved dog that we will cherish forever. We are endlessly grateful.

This review is limited to the ashes and keepsakes I got from them for my late cat. Last week I lost my cat of 12 years, Oliver, to cancer. He passed away fairly suddenly when I took him to Animal Speciality Group (VCA) in Glendale because he had been throwing up non-stop and seemed to be in pain. Turns out his tumor had been bleeding internally and he was severely anemic and the cancer had apparently spread aggressively across large portions of his body, so I made the difficult but necessary decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge. At ASG/VCA, I purchased a cremation and keepsakes package, which I would later learn was being handled by West Coast. I just got the urn and keepsakes today in the mail and I really could not be any happier (other than if I could get my little buddy back). The wooden urn I chose was just beautiful, but I am especially blown away by the small vial with his hair inside of it; West Coast made a point to display his black and white fur in a beautiful pattern so I can always remember my tuxedo boy. I also did not ask or even pay extra for a paw print but I was so emotional and glad to find that West Coast had prepared one for me anyway. I really appreciate the work they did here to memorialize my boy. Thank you, West Coast, for your thoughtful work. Pictures include how I've set up the urn and vial of hair on my little altar for Oliver.
