    My dog's private aquamation package
    Kelley L.

My 15 yr old dog passed away last month, and it was a devastating time for me as it happened so fast and my first pet loss. While I was looking at different businesses offering cremation services, I found that Paws and Claws Aquamation and Memorials differed in their process. Rather than traditional cremation, they offered aquamation which does a take a little longer but appeared to be a more gentler way for me to keep my dog's remains. Brian was super empathetic and patient with us, offering us a private moment with our girl. We ordered the private aquamation service, which was $295, and opted for a second set of paw prints for an additional $20. We also asked to keep the dog's bed. The whole process took a little over a week. I received a call when my dog's package was ready. Everything was packed well and deliberately put together with care. I also appreciated Brian saying that he hoped he did not have to see me again at his business (due to the fact that pet loss is a horrible experience). However, I really support this business and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a local business to cremate their beloved pets.

Thank God for Brian and his team over at Paws and Claws Aquamation and Memorials. We lost our 20 year old cat and that same morning we were able to bring him over to Brian for his private aquamation. Brian was so helpful and kind considering our tremendous loss. We were able to say goodbye to him for the last time covered by a little room divider. Brian explained the whole aquamation process and seamlessly answered any questions we had. I will never forget the kindness they showed in our time of need.

Paws and Claws made our tremendous loss a little more bearable. We loss our pup on early Sunday morning and thank goodness they were open and available to receive her. A thorough explanation of our options and process along with answering the myriad of questions we had was communicated to us, which was greatly appreciated. When we got the ashes back Brian included a wooden heart which contained wildflower seeds so we can plant them in memory of our girl. It was such a beautiful and thoughtful gesture. Brian truly puts his genuine heart and care into his business . I would highly recommend Paws and Claws to anyone.

Losing my sweet Annie was one of the hardest things I've ever gone through. Even though she was only with me for the last few years of her life, she completely changed my world. She wasn't just my dog she was family, and saying goodbye broke my heart. After she passed away, I kept searching for the right place to bring her. I live only about four minutes away from Paws & Claws Aqua Cremation, but I wanted to make sure Annie would be cared for by people who would treat her with love and respect. It was a very stressful Sunday morning when we brought her in. Bryan, the owner, was so kind and compassionate. He and his wife made such a difficult day a little easier. They never made us feel rushed, and they treated Annie with the dignity she deserved. The following week, they called to let me know Annie was ready to come home. I couldn't pick her up right away because I was away on vacation, the same trip Annie was supposed to be on with us. We had planned that trip with her, but sadly, that never happened. Coming home and finally bringing Annie home was emotional, but I'm grateful she's back with us. When I picked her up, everything was beautifully prepared. Her urn, paw print, a clipping of her fur, and her certificate meant so much to me. Those keepsakes are priceless and will always remind me of my sweet girl. I also want to mention the pricing because I know many pet parents worry about that after doing everything they can to save their beloved companion. Before Annie passed, we spent so much on emergency vet visits, tests, medications, and treatments. I researched several cremation services in my area, and Paws & Claws Aqua Cremation had one of the most reasonable prices for a private aquamation. I truly felt that their goal was to help grieving families, not add another financial burden during an already heartbreaking time. I hope no one ever has to go through the pain of losing a pet, but if you do, I wholeheartedly recommend Paws & Claws Aqua Cremation. Bryan and his wife are genuinely kind people who cared for Annie as if she mattered, and to me, she meant everything. Thank you for helping me give my sweet Annie a peaceful and dignified goodbye. I'll always be grateful.

Making the decision to say goodbye to my sweet girl after 16 years was one of the hardest things I've ever done. From the moment I called and spoke with Deana, I knew this was the company I would choose when that moment came. When it did, Dr. Mark and Deana were both incredibly professional and deeply compassionate. They listened patiently as we shared stories about our girl and gave us all the time we needed--before, during, and after--never making us feel rushed. They even allowed us to carry her from our home to the van, which meant more to us than I can put into words. When I went the following week to pick up her ashes, I felt that same level of care and compassion. Paws and Claws went far above and beyond my expectations, and every bit of their service was worth it. I would recommend them again and again without hesitation.

This is definitely a long overdue review. I lost my soul dog of 14 years in 2020. The loss itself was a tough thing to process. It was a Sunday late afternoon when he passed peacefully. I found Brian online and although he was closed for the day, he made a special trip back just for my beloved Kobi. The whole encounter from the moment I got there to the moment I left was one of the most respectful and kind experiences. We spoke about Kobi and what kind of dog he was and what he meant to me. I was even allowed as much time as I needed to say goodbye. Thank you Brian for making one of the worst days of my life a little easier. I lost something so precious to me that day, but you made sure Kobi was treated with dignity and care throughout the entire aquamation process. For that, I am eternally grateful.

Losing my 15 year old dog Tegan was the hardest thing I've ever gone through, but Brian and the team at Paws and Claws made the experience more bearable with their compassion and care. They stayed open late so we could bring her in, gave us time to say goodbye privately, and walked us through everything with such gentleness. When we picked her up, they had gone above and beyond: two paw prints (with a heart), a complimentary vial of her fur, and a card. Every detail felt personal. I'll never forget their kindness. Thank you, Brian -- you made the worst day of my life a little softer.

Thank you Brain. I should've written this review a year ago but time was tough. Thank you for taking care of my baby boy Coffee. I'm so grateful that I have found your service. Thank you for educating us on the aquamation. It's more eco-friendly. We like the fact that we got more ashes back doing aquamation and his ashes are like soft sand. (Think Hawaii soft sand) Today my friend just lost his beloved dog and I referred him over.

Today was when everything was official and final. Paws and Claws was visited because my second and last guinea pig passed away last week in my arms. My husband and I were searching for a place to take him days before he. This establishment was responsive and kind and had also just recently served my cousin when her guinea pigs passed. Calls ahead are appreciated. With this i was able to call the same morning that he passed away and was able to drop him off. They are closed on Thursdays. The building is small and in a business/ industrial area but they are helpful with directions when you call. I dropped Rocky Road off and was helped by Brian (maybe Bryan? ). He was soft spoken and patient. There was no rush or urgency its as if these people do this as a hobby to be kind to those who have lost their fur companions. They have a large and beautiful selection of urns and other types of memory keepsakes for your pet. I was able to leave Rocky on a bed of blankets and a small basket say my final goodbyes. 1 week later I received a call that he was ready for pick up. This time I was held by Elizabeth who went over all my keepsakes and gave me a hug. I received paw prints and a small urn, a condolence card and other small items. The love is in the work. Thank you so much for everything.

This is the urn I selected for my girl- very unique and celebratory.

Brian and Deanna are the most loving and compassionate couple you will ever meet. They really helped me out big time with processing the loss of my beloved dog. Brian used to be a mortician, and he is beyond loving and generally one of those rare and authentic, down to earth people. I highly recommend going out of your way to utilize their services, even if your vet isn't linked to them. That is what I had to do. My vet had some contract with another corporate company, but I wanted to use more of a compassionate and personalized service. I had a much better experience as a result of both of them!

The morning Ronni departed our life, we brought her to Only Cremations and they kept her for us until the viewing, which was a couple days later. The day of the viewing, we were already an emotional mess, but Brittany was there right away to show us the presentation of Ronni in the viewing room. She was beautiful and had a blanket laid over the lower half of her body. Ronni looked like she was peacefully sleeping. There was ambient lighting and somber, relaxing music playing, a vase of flowers nearby, a sofa, and of course a box of tissues for our use. We were given up to two hours to spend with Ronni in the private viewing room for us to say our last goodbyes. We felt grateful to see her beautiful face one last time. During this time, Aldair came in and took her clay paw prints and we also had some ink paw prints done. He did a great job capturing the definition of her paw prints. Both Brittany and Aldair made this time more supportable with their patience and compassion and the gentleness they had with our baby girl. When it was time for the cremation, we had to leave the viewing room and go to another room, as our 86 pound Ronni needed a larger cremator chamber. We were able to sit in this room and watch through a window as Aldair placed her into the compartment. We had previously viewed the entire cremation process with another pet of ours and wished to ensure we received only their cremains, with little chance of a mixture or unknown other pet being switched out. Sounds a little paranoid, but we've heard stories, and this way gave us peace of mind knowing we were definitely receiving Ronnie's cremains. After the cremation process, approximately 90 minutes later, Aldair carefully and thoughtfully prepared the cremains for us to be able to take our Ronni home with us in a nice wooden urn provided as part of the package. Brittany presented us with a fabric bag with the urn inside, along with the clay and ink paw prints, a certificate note of sorts, and a packet of flower seeds. We are so thankful for this experience your establishment provided. Some of the "mom and pop" stand alone facilities have been bought out by big chain corporations, and they do not provide this same service as you have given to us. It's almost as if they have something to hide or don't want you to see. Everything felt oddly defensive. I was having a hard time keeping my tears away during the call, and she kept telling me she couldn't understand me when I asked for a moment. Then, she told me if I wanted the doctor to come to my house right now, she'd need to charge me an insane extra fee. I understand after-hours fees, but we hadn't even gotten to appointment scheduling yet. I asked if I could think about it and get back to her, and she said yes, but I she would only hold my appointment slot for 30 minutes for the following morning if I wanted to do that. And, if she didn't hear back in 30 minutes. I'd have to call and reschedule a different day because the doctors are "very very busy". I felt like I was being rushed along without receiving much comfort or consultation, this is the first time I've ever sought-out an at-home pet euthanasia, so I was hoping for some guidance. Overall, this felt extremely callous, and I am so glad I went with a different service who made me feel cared for and were very accommodating and professional. The other service also fully articulates the fees they charge on their website with no hidden fees. Hard pass on this place; I see all these 5-star reviews, so hopefully my experience was just an anomaly.
