This office is so beautiful! And holy cow are they gentle!! Been going here 15+ years. Always spot on with my insurance estimates. They go above and beyond any other office as far as obtaining my exact coverage down to the penny. Sure sometimes there are things they cant control due to insurance being sucky but 90% of the time its been spot on which is more than I can say for other offices estimates! July 2023, went for cleaning/examination. Was repeatedly told both types of Xrays they were doing was fully covered by my insurance and I would pay no additional money out of pocket for both types of xrays. Several months later, I received an additional bill for the added Xrays. I called the office to explain that I was told I would not be billed and they confirmed before my visit with the insurance company that both xrays were covered. Employee advised that the insurance company must have wrongly told their employee who checked my coverage prior to my visit. I contacted my Insurance company who checked their records/call logs-recordings and provided me a letter stating no one from the dentist office called prior to my visit to verify coverage. To top it off, I just found out Gentle Family Dentistry sent the bill to collections. I USE TO Think so highly of this business. read more

Horrible office and dentist. All they care is about money, always make 2 appointments for one issue, so they can charge you and your insurance for 2 visits instead of one. My son's tooth, which Dr Sclater fixed less than a year ago, got chipped in the same spot ( the filling she put in partially broke). We were between coverages due to job change and new dental coverage was supposed to start in a week. When making the appointment, we asked if we should wait a week, as it was a superficial crack, not something that caused pain. They reassured us that it will be covered by their warranty and if, for whatever reason there is something they need to do that would incur a charge, they would let us know beforehand. So we brought my son in (after them rescheduling twice on us and my son skipping part of schoolday 2 times). They took an xray of my son's tooth, which he didn't even need, then refused to fix the issue, which was supposed to be covered by their 1 year "warranty". They also charged us 160$+ for the xray out of pocket!!! That is after them telling us that it would be covered by their warranty, as it was within one year of the time when this filling was originally done. Not only that, but the Xray wasn't even needed - it was a much smaller crack of the filling, the tooth tissue was not affected and Dr Sclater sure knew that, because she was the one who fixed it few months ago on the first place! I guess money is more important to this business than integrity and taking care of the clients she has had for many years. read more

I am truly happy we found a new dentist! My son has autism and the staff was so friendly and understanding with him. They also kindly but firmly explained to him about the necessity of taking care of his teeth since he's also a diabetic. My son hadn't eaten for awhile because he wanted his teeth to be clean and his sugar dropped in the office. I was afraid he was gonna pass out but one of the kind and awesome staff gave him a bar to help with his sugar. I wanted to kiss them all I was so Grateful. We arrived a bit early (lunchtime) and they were still kind enough to allow us in so I could fill out the paperwork. I love the location and staff and see they even have extra services for me (Botox, fillers ect) so I definitely will be looking into some ME time when I go in. Honestly, I was not sold on the 5 star rating and went into my appointment very wary. I left pleasantly surprised. Check in was simple with just a few new patient forms. Surprisingly, the forms were not uber redundant like at many offices and that's appreciated. I was taken back at my scheduled time by hygienist Jessica. Really my entire review is mostly based on my visit with her. In short, she was awesome! She made me feel very comfortable, took her time, thoroughly explained what she would do and also while she was doing it. Just a fun person to chat with. My appt was for a routine cleaning so my contact with the dentist was very short and sweet. She also seemed very nice. I will be able to update my review to include dental services as we found a few weakened fillings that need replacing. Pricing is also VERY fair. My cost (after insurance) is a fraction of what I'm used to paying. And I love a good deal! read more

My appointment was on 18 April 2017 @ 8:30 A.M. Last year Dr Sclater made upper dentures for me to wear after surgery. They were fine then. After the swelling went away, they didn't fix well and I had to use Polygrip™ all the time. On 18 April, Dr Sclater used a chemical to adjust the fit of the dentures. She did a great job! Yes. Yes. Yes. I hate wasting time hop-scotching from one "professional" to another trying to find a place that genuinely earns that title. I'm thoroughly impressed. Just had my first visit and I spent half the time interrogating the most wonderful dentist. It's utterly evident that she, and I'm sure the rest of the staff, is fantastically knowledgeable and mentioned she's STILL doing continued learning online. If you're not sold yet, you're probably like me haha. I'm sitting in my room, talking to my dentist and another one walks in, sits down, and starts talking to me asking how I'm doing and how I found them. Little did I know that was the owner of the practice. In the flesh. Which apparently is just about everyday. So no, you're not just contributing to the bottom line. They absolutely floored me with their level of customer service. It's just real, genuine, good people. My only complaint is, *ironically* the only guy I saw working there, is real dull. Definitely doesn't compliment the consistency of the rest of the staff. 10/10 would recommend to family and friends! read more

They are able to do procedures in the office better and faster because of the state-of-the-art equipment, but you really don't mind being there with Netflix keeping you entertained! If all of that isn't enough, Dr. DeLeon is also extremely skilled with cosmetic procedures, such as botox, juvederm and voluma that really enhance your aesthetics (without looking like you've had "work" done). The staff at Gentle Family dentistry is simply amazing! They are friendly from the moment you walk through the doors to when you leave feeling better about your smile! Everyone there greeted you with a hello and they ask how you're doing. It's these small details that calms people who are scared of the dentist like myself. Their office is pristine, modern, and state of the art. It not only feels safe, but it also feels like they can get the job done with the equipment they have. Sandi (the Hygienist) did my cleaning that day and she was very thorough, she genuinely was interested in learning more about me and my teeth and she gave great pointers on how to keep my smile perfect. She was gentle, responsive, and inquisitive. Dr. De Leon did my check. She is very professional yet friendly and familiar. She was very thorough with her assessments making sure that everything was explained. She even showed me what my teeth looked like in 3D! She will make you feel at ease! We went for the first time today. I took my two children (7 and 2) and everyone was just amazing. The hygienist, Jessica was so patient and kind with my children. I waited for the office to re-open and get the new safety and health requirements in place and used before I scheduled an appt. I received an appointment in 1 day. I was met at the car by the hygienist, answered the CoVid screening tests, taken in, the waiting area was empty and spotless. Temp, BP, and Pulse Oximetry was taken. She then had me stand and she wiped down the chair and table adjacent (I had not touched but kudos for being careful). She then took me back to the exam room. Great pleasant visit (the staff and doc are great all the time). I said the last place one has to worry about safety today is a medical office. Doc came in took care of business and then I was escorted out to take care of the bill and out the door. Other than the hygienist and doc, I came in contact with no other people. They have the routine down to a science and timing so patients hardly cross paths. First I have been very happy with their care in the Before Times but in the current times they have kicked it to another level. I have been in 3 medical offices (2 for tests) and know the staff is as concerned or more so about the virus. All have worked hard for cleanliness and patient care and comfort.
