    We are beyond happy we hired Gentry as our wedding planner. It was the best money hands down that we spent. She truly went above and beyond. We hired her to take over 2 months out from our wedding. She kept us on track and took over full communication with all of our vendors which alleviated so much stress away from us. We were able to relay our vision and our plans and she executed them to perfection. Bonus she is just an amazing person with a killer personality making it so easy to work with her. Her communication and organization is top notch. She was able to organize my rambunctious family with ease. Hire her for any event, she won't disappoint!

    Not sure where to even start? Gentry is absolutely PHENOMENAL!! She planned, coordinated and carried out the wedding of our dreams. At first, I thought we did not need a wedding coordinator and found out veerrryyy quickly just how much time and effort goes into planning such a memorable event. Gentry was there every step of the way to guide us through the entire process (without ever making it feel like work and making the process fun!). Her organizational skills are simply unmatched. Gentry's passion for her career and compassion for her clients is truly remarkable. She lifted ALL of the stress off our shoulders from keeping in constant contact with all of our vendors to having a VERY detailed wedding day timeline from start to finish. Gentry was the first and last person at our wedding which goes to show just how dedicated she is to her clients. She even made sure that my husband and I had a few minutes alone to take in our special day (something that I never would of thought of but meant so much to us). The list just goes on and on. Having Gentry as our wedding coordinator is hands down the best decision we made. Gentry, we appreciate you and just can't thank you enough for making our wedding day the best day of our lives.

Front start to finish, it was the most amazing experience. The coordination was flawless and the service was top notch. We didn't get to meet our officiant Ellsworth until the day. The photographer and videographer made us feel so comfortable! The flowers were fresh and made beautifully. The hula dancer was gorgeous and the musician was wonderful. My hair and make up artist understood the assignment and they both made me look flawless! Our photographer Carson took over 200 photos and made us feel so special! Our highlight video and ceremony video were awesome. I recommend this company to anyone who wants to get married in Hawaii as they have the wedding planning down to a science. They have something in everyone's budget I loved that they took away the hassle of booking everything separately especially since we didn't live there! Thanks everyone!

My husband and I decided to look at small venues and saw Maleana Gardens. Usually they do small weddings up to 20 people. I was a little hesitant at first because on their IG it looked a little too good to be true and I didn't hear much about it. After speaking with Cheri, the owner, she invited us to go down to their property and take a look for ourselves before booking. We totally winged it and went. The property is full of luscious tropical plants, amazing photo ops, and overall absolutely beautiful! It felt like we were on another island. Cheri shared she and her husband,Scott planted all of the plants and maintained the grounds for many years. So cool! Going through the process of planning (yes even for an intimate ceremony) can be stressful. Through out the process, Cheri was easy to get a hold of and so helpful during this crazy time. Our wedding ceremony was able to go as planned and we didn't have to worry about anything. Cheri worked with our vendors and was even able to do a last minute set up for cake cutting. Thank you to Cheri for everything! We are truly grateful that we were able to have our Covid wedding ceremony!

    Despite the glowing reviews and many recommendations that ABC Weddings was one of the best planning…read moreand coordination teams in Oahu- I unfortunately was left very disappointed with the lack of presence/front-end coordination on the wedding day and miscommunication. For background information, we purchased their basic package for $3000 (which is only for hotel venues). The first mishap was when I wanted to schedule an appointment to discuss additional questions I had ($120 for 1 hour). They never showed up for my appointment. I did try calling their main line and the coordinators cell phone, but it all went to voicemail. In the end, it turned out that the coordinator was moving and had a lot on her plate, so my appointment fell through the cracks. They ended up scheduling me another meeting free of charge, which I did appreciate. In October, I was really feeling the pressure, so I inquired about having my coordinator start 3 weeks earlier than planned. ABC Weddings was quick to respond and have my lead coordinator, Sammy, start earlier for a $500 fee, to which I paid. Here's where things take a turn for the disappointing. When Sammy took over point of contact (POC), I still had my vendors emailing me directly for questions/info. Also, when I asked Sammy questions about my venue (i.e. rehearsal times/location, basic questions regarding catering, etc), she wasn't sure a lot of the times, which then meant I had to ask my venue directly. This wasn't EVERY time, but it was a lot of the time, which I felt defeated the purpose of taking over POC. I also felt there wasn't closed loop communication, so I was unsure of what Sammy was doing on her side with the vendors until the very end when I asked her to CC me on her final emails with timelines so I knew what they were being told. At the rehearsal, Sammy only had 2 copies of the timeline printed, which was not enough to distribute to both our parents and our maid of honor/best man. Additionally, we also learned at the rehearsal that she was NOT going to be the person actually coordinating the day. For example, letting us know where to go and when, updating the timeline if there are any changes, etc. Per our contract, it states: "We will check in with you before the professional photographer arrives to organize the important details, check in with family members, keep the timeline moving smoothly, get you out the door on time, organize requested group photos, and overall customer service throughout the day!" The huge missing pieces for us was checking in with family members, keeping the timeline moving smoothly, and getting us out the door on time. On the day of, Sammy was already confused on a decor piece that we had discussed at previous meetings, which led to me having to re-explain to her what I wanted during my hair/makeup. She did not check-in with any of my family members/bridal party. She only had communication with my matron of honor who was running the entire timeline/day, and this was largely because my matron of honor was the one checking in with her. She did not text us to let us know when to go where, so we were completely on our own. When it came time to put on my wedding gown, Sammy was unable to zip my dress, and the entire time I was clearly upset, she did not offer any reassurance or support, but rather spent time in the living room looking lost/confused. She did call the wedding shop, per my suggestion, and they came to the venue to help put on my dress which was amazing on their part (Casablanca!). Due to the issue with the dress, our timeline got pushed back by 15-20 mins, to which she told my matron of honor to let my parents know to delay our first look. Why didn't she text them and update the timeline herself? Although it worked out, this situation was not solved nor made better by Sammy. Honestly it felt like she didn't want to be there and didn't have a lot of care for our wedding day. I did share my thoughts with Lauren (CEO) post-wedding, and she was very apologetic but explained that "Our lead coordinators focus primarily on managing logistics, vendors, and timeline flow behind the scenes so couples can remain present and enjoy their day". This is confusing because that's not what is stated in our contract nor expected from our conversations. I understand she was doing the behind the scenes, but why was the timeline piece missing? There were two coordinators on site, to which I was told the 2nd coordinator would be doing setup/vendor management, but it seems like that's not the case? Irregardless, I felt the contract was not met, and that there was not any management for us, the wedding party and family members. Sadly, I would not recommend ABC Weddings if you are purchasing the basic coordination package. It definitely seemed that because I purchased the lowest tier, we were not high priority and it did not feel like they were willing to go above and beyond for one of the most special days of our lives.

From our first conversation with Lauren and Mackenzie, we felt confident we were in the right hands and were working with the right wedding planning team in Hawaii. Throughout the planning process, Mackenzie and Jamie kept everything organized with great communication and helped bring our vision to life beautifully. Anytime we had questions or needed help with finding a vendor, the entire ACB team was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding us what we were looking for. When we were introduced to Sammy, our Lead Coordinator, we knew we were in amazing hands. She was absolutely incredible and wouldn't have wanted anyone but her with us on our day. She was incredibly detail-oriented, organized, responsive, and made everything run smoothly -- from our rehearsal to our Four Seasons Hawaii wedding day itself. ABC also brought their content creator, Jessica, who captured amazing behind-the-scenes moments and shared them with us afterward, which was such a thoughtful bonus. Because of Sammy, Jamie and the entire Aloha Bridal Company team, we were able to truly relax and enjoy every moment of our destination wedding day because the ABC team had everything handled behind the scenes. They even made sure we stayed hydrated and had time to eat -- the little things that make such a difference. If you're looking for a wedding planner in Hawaii, we cannot recommend Aloha Bridal Company enough. Their professionalism, organization, and genuine care truly gave us the wedding of our dreams in a place that means so much to us. We chose the "maid of honor for hire" package, and let me tell you: WORTH EVERY PENNY! We booked LLW in January 2024 for our June 2025 wedding, and from day one, Louise led the way. Our initial meeting was incredibly thorough, with a planning timeline and actionable next steps. From there, we met over Zoom throughout the year and collaborated asynchronously in between. What truly surprised us was how personally involved Louise remained. As LLW's owner, we assumed Louise might eventually pass things off--but nope. She joined every Zoom meeting, answered every email, and showed up in ways we didn't expect but fully appreciated. The "maid of honor for hire" package places design decisions in the couple's hands which can feel daunting, but we never felt alone. Our vision shifted dozens of times. We started with white and green florals, a neutral palette, and no wedding party. But thanks to LLW's encouragement and calm expertise, we embraced a totally different vibe: multicolored pastel florals, 20 mix-and-match-clad wedding party members, and a deeply personal celebration. I honestly never imagined arriving at the wedding we had--and I'm so glad we did. We also hired LLW for our florals, which were beyond anything we could've dreamed. Pinterest didn't quite capture our taste, so we pieced together inspiration boards--and Louise and her team translated it flawlessly. They gave us mockups for every arrangement, which eased our nerves, and the final result was pure magic. We were anxious about leaning into color, but LLW reassured us every step of the way. The florals felt like art. Through every change in mood board, guest list, and timeline, LLW never made us feel like we were "too much." Kayla helped me into my dress, styled my veil, bustled my dress with care, and adjusted every detail throughout the day for photos. Even though we made many of the design decisions in the wedding, LLW elevated everything with thoughtful styling touches, extra florals beyond our contract, and meaningful details--like busting out our flower girl's bubble gun for our first dance to make it look extra magical. At the end of the night, Louise had our family member's car packed with everything we needed. She handed out vendor tips. A team member passed out spam musubis and waters to guests boarding the shuttle. It was seamless. We went straight to our karaoke afterparty without a single concern in mind. So if you want a wedding that feels authentically yours, LLW is the team. They don't replicate Pinterest trends--they listen and build a celebration that reflects you. We had so many friends tell us it was the most beautiful and breathtaking wedding they'd ever attended--that it felt like *us* in every detail, and that it was an unforgettable experience for everyone we love. They were so attentive and handled all our needs so efficiently. We had booked another venue that was unresponsive and too nonchalant that made us lose confidence in their ability to provide the service, so we canceled and found Haiku Gardens only 2 months before the wedding!!! Miraculously, they had the one day available for us and pulled it all together as if they had all year to plan for it. They helped my daughter so much by communicating all the details and what was next on the agenda so we didn't have to worry about what comes next. They put the bride at ease and gave her a comfort level that made it a wonderful experience overall. In addition to the staff going above and beyond and just being awesome, the venue itself was beyond expectations and incredibly beautiful! The pics online don't do it justice. We could not have been more satisfied with how this wedding turned out. A great big thank you to Haiku Gardens and especially Morgan and Kat for making my daughter's wedding day so special and magnificent! The food was insane, the drinks were tasty, and the atmosphere was incredible. It smelled so amazing and we had great weather. There's not a bad spot on the property to take photographs. I can't wait to see my photos I took behind the pond in the greenery. I'm very glad I picked this venue for my wedding. The staff did us a solid and boxed up some food for my husband and I and we ate it right after we left. That was really cool of them! Minus 1 star. Just a tip I would not recommend the photo booth option through Haiku Gardens. None of my guests really noticed it or understood what it was even after we made announcements to use it. There was no signage so it basically only got used by my bridal party when we walked out of the bridal room. I'm grateful Kat had me and my bridal party take pictures with it before we walked out to see our guests. If we hadn't we would have only had one person use the photo booth. The photo vendor had her head down on her phone the whole two hours we had her there, totally disengaged. I noticed and also received this info per multiple guests so that was embarrassing and annoying. I wish she was verbalizing why she was there and asking people " Hey would you like to take photos?! I love the details that Henry and Midori pay close attention to. Tessa's assistant, Ashley, who I met the day of my wedding was exceptional. She was very calm, extremely helpful, organized, and such a sweetheart. I wish I had met Ashley sooner during the planning phase because she is someone that could be your friend! From start to finish, Tessa and her team made our wedding unforgettable. It's been seven months since our big day (February 23, 2025), and my wife, myself, our friends, and family still talk about it constantly. We laughed, cried, ate, drank, danced, socialized, and snapped countless photos. Most importantly, we were able to relax and truly enjoy ourselves. Fred and Kate Events had everything under control.
