Late post from December 2025 ceremony…read more Being from the mainland I was a little nervous about a company that I knew nothing about. My now husband found them with a simple Google search. Front start to finish, it was the most amazing experience. The coordination was flawless and the service was top notch. We didn't get to meet our officiant Ellsworth until the day. The photographer and videographer made us feel so comfortable! The flowers were fresh and made beautifully. The hula dancer was gorgeous and the musician was wonderful. My hair and make up artist understood the assignment and they both made me look flawless! Our photographer Carson took over 200 photos and made us feel so special! Our highlight video and ceremony video were awesome. I recommend this company to anyone who wants to get married in Hawaii as they have the wedding planning down to a science. They have something in everyone's budget I loved that they took away the hassle of booking everything separately especially since we didn't live there! Thanks everyone!

Unfortunately, our experience with Weddings of Hawaii was very disappointing, especially when it…read morecame to the photography. From the beginning, communication was confusing and at times conflicting. Information seemed to change depending on who we spoke with. I think having one person assigned to each couple, or even a profile documenting each couple's questions, concerns, and meaningful details, would help make the experience much more personal and prevent important things from being missed. For example, we were originally told we could use our own photographer and videographer. We carefully researched and chose vendors we loved and paid deposits for both, only to find out very close to our wedding date that outside vendors weren't allowed and we had to use their "approved vendors." We then paid an additional $700 to choose our photographer based on the portfolios they provided. Otherwise, you're assigned a photographer based on availability. Our photographer was nice, and I felt confident in our choice based on the portfolio we were shown. Unfortunately, the photos we received were heartbreaking. The photos included in the package are UNEDITED, meaning you're paying for them whether you're happy with them or not. If you want them edited, you have to pay extra, and you also have to pay to have the unedited photos shipped. Honestly, I thought, how bad could they be? I was definitely wrong. There were major issues even before editing. The ONE group photo we received has my eyes closed. As the bride, I'm in the middle of the photo and naturally I'm going to look closely at it. In that same photo, more than half of my family's faces are cut off or blocked. What upset me most was barely being able to see my mom and dad. Other photos are blurry or have a strange scratchy appearance, some have poor or unflattering lighting, and many were taken from EXTREMELY unflattering angles. Going into this, I knew I wasn't the most photogenic person and that I can be awkward in front of a camera. I wasn't expecting perfection, and I understand not every photo will be perfect. But I truly believed that hiring a professional to capture one of the most important days of our lives meant they would take the time and care to capture the people, emotions, and moments that made our wedding special...and capture me at my best not my worst. Instead, looking through these photos has been genuinely heartbreaking. I was honestly on the verge of tears the first time I went through them. It wasn't just about how I looked. It was realizing that so many of the moments and people we wanted to remember weren't captured in a meaningful way. There are random photos of people, but very few that actually tell the story of our day or capture the people we love together. What makes it even harder is that the photographer covered our entire ceremony. I now have very few usable photos of our ceremony and guests...moments that can never be recreated. I'm incredibly thankful I hired someone separately to photograph us before the ceremony because those photos are AMAZING. Without them, I would have very little from our wedding day that I actually love. There were also other package issues. We were told things could be removed and deducted from our total, but that turned out to be another misunderstanding. I didn't like any of the included floral options and didn't want to spend over $500 extra for the simple bouquet I wanted. We were essentially left with the choice of a bouquet or leis. My husband and I are both allergic to leis, so while we were happy to give them to our mothers, we would have preferred the option to simply not have them and not pay for something we couldn't wear. We also didn't really want the live Hawaiian music or conch shell blowing, but were told they were part of the package. We couldn't even choose the Hawaiian song. My grandfather wrote Hawaiian music, and I would have loved to have one of his songs played but we were told they essentially only play the songs they have. To be clear, love Hawaii and are proud to be from here; we simply wanted our wedding to feel like us, rather than a preset "Hawaiian wedding" package. Our day-of coordinator was very nice, encouraging, and helpful, so my frustration isn't directed toward her. My biggest concerns are the lack of clear communication and, most importantly, the photography. At the end of the day, I just wanted photographs that would allow us to look back and remember our wedding the people we love, the emotions, the little moments, and the happiness of having everyone together. Instead, looking through these photos has been genuinely heartbreaking. These are memories we can never recreate, and I wish more care had been taken to capture the actual story and feeling of our day in a flattering way.

The amount of beauty and effort Gabby put into our wedding is unreal. I met Gabby in 2019 and had to change my wedding date 3 times since then. I started to forget what we had planned for the wedding but Gabby was so good on giving us reassurance and asking us about our concerns and how she can fix them. Every suggestion she gave we went with and it did not disappoint. We upgraded the white tent to a clear tent, added signature cocktails and more. The weekend of the wedding my husband and I thought we would have enough time to get all the alcohol and mixers at Costco before our wedding. Boy were we wrong! We packed up our car and had to Uber in another because there was simply not enough room for all the packages. The day before the wedding we told Gabby last minute if she can help get the rest of the mixers plus some last minute things we needed from the rehearsal. I knew it was a lot to ask in very little time so I told her if it's not possible then no hard feelings and we will use what we have. She was able to deliver and provide everything! On our wedding day it was something straight out of a dream! Every detail was perfectly placed and Gabby would make sure to deliver us our signature cocktails every few hours because we were so busy with photos and talking to people. She truly goes above and beyond and deserves an award for being such a boss while being an amazing mother at the same time. I forgot to mention she just has a baby when I first met her and idk how she did it but she was able to handle work and mom life as if it were easy. I'm so sad the wedding is over but I am truly happy my husband and I have chosen Gabby. I feel like I'm losing a friend even though I am sure this won't be the last I see her. I'll need to have a Hawaiian celebration again soon and will 100% use her because this experience was an addicting adventure that needs to happen again!

I completely forgot my adapter to connect my laptop to our projector for our slideshow and she went all the way back home to pick hers up so we could use it!! She saved us!! She and her associate Cass were both so so pleasant, kind, and easy to work with! From our setup to tear down, dress rehearsal, and more I can not stress enough how incredible Bella Weddings was! I'm not sure if it's just me but I think there should be a minimum three day response time. If that's not doable, I may accept one week but definitely not two. And there's more... Finally got a response so I go over the package and call them back with questions for all these "extra charges." Getting married outside of Honolulu? There's a charge for that. Having the ceremony and reception at different locations? There's a charge for that. Having it at the same place? There's a charge for that too. More than 75 guests? You guessed it!!! There's a charge for that too! Paying with a credit card so you can earn miles? Yes, there's a charge for that. 3.5% processing fee to be exact! But with all those extra charges, I was still going to book them because of their reputation. I mean look at their reviews! So, I told them to send me the contract and it never came. Two weeks later, I get a email apologizing for the delay and asking me where my venue was again. Are you serious? I need an organized coordinator that I can trust! I sent them an email saying I will no longer need their services. Guess how many emails I got after that? Like five in a row with more apologies and excuses of how busy they were and how they're working on hiring and training someone to make the contracts. Whatever, I don't care. You can't handle the volume of your business, that's your problem. I need someone that can handle. I'm so happy I didn't go with them. I now have a coordinator that responds to all my emails and there are no extra fees. One that I trust and that is something so vital for one of the most important days of your life!

We chose their full-service package as this package included sourcing vendors for us, but hiring them turned out to be the biggest mistake of our wedding. 1. Subpar vendor sourcing The vendor recommendations were completely misaligned with our vibe and significantly overpriced. They provided only a single option per category with zero room for comparison. We ended up having to research, vet, and book almost all the other vendors ourselves to get the vibe we wanted at a much more affordable price point. 2. Day-of logistics & communication failure Despite asking for our bus driver's contact details in advance, the team did not coordinate with him. Our driver had to repeatedly call us directly on our wedding day while we were trying to get ready and enjoy the moment. When we brought this up to the team, the excuse given was simply, "Oh yeah, we have never worked with him before." As professional planners, coordinating with new vendors is the bare minimum expectation. 3. Rude and unprofessional attitude on the day A wedding planner should keep the atmosphere calm and positive. Instead, Tessa created unnecessary stress and hostility: a. Disrespectful to Our Officiant: Our officiant, a close friend who walked us through marriage preparation and flew all the way to Hawaii, politely asked Tessa a logistical question and was bluntly told, "Now is not the time to be asking these questions." Right before our march-in, she was openly talking rudely about him in front of our entire bridal party, killing the excitement and making everyone feel uncomfortable. b. Aggressive tone with groomsmen: During the groomsmen photoshoot, she snapped at one of the groomsmen for chewing gum, aggressively telling him: "Is that gum? You either spit it out or you swallow it." 4. Zero Accountability We hesitated to write a public review and reached out privately via email first to share our experience. Their response did not include a single apology or acknowledgment of their shortcomings. Every single external vendor we sourced and hired on our own was fantastic, but Fred and Kate Events consistently added tension, failed on coordination, and treated our closest friends and family with disrespect. Would totally look elsewhere for wedding coordination.
