My windshield got cracked at a stoplight over 9 months ago. I have been waiting for Safelite to get a windshield that they kept telling me was on backorder since last June. If you're a client with State Farm, you're most likely able to qualify for a free chip repair. They were extremely nice and accommodating to my walk in when a rock hit my wind shield. They were nice enough to explain the process of repairing a rock chip as well as taking care of it rather quickly. I have to give it to the wonderful staff at Genuine, what a great group of people! I was pelted by a rock truck on the freeway. This team worked on my window without an appointment (it took about half an hour to complete the repairs), fixing them without any charge to me - Even though State Farm no longer covers rock repairs!! After repairing the chips, they cleaned all my windows and gave me a can of Window Cleaner (which is amazing!!) Have to admit I was not all that impressed. I work from home on Mondays so scheduled my appt for late afternoon. Learned after they took the windshield off they had ordered the wrong one since they admitted to not getting the VIN# from me & wrote down wrong model number... had to leave the car, and go back this morning.... price I was told at check out was MORE then the quote because the correct windshield was more expensive but I was never told. Asked about a "cut" due to the error that had me late for work today and nothing... (especially when it admitted the error was theirs). Very impressed with this company. They were not our lowest quote, but not our highest either. We went into the office to get our quote. The two girls in the office were busy on the phones. They maintained their composure and were acknowledging of us. As soon as they could they were able they helped us. The phone lines remained busy as we were in the office. We decided to accept the quote and have them send a mobile technician to our home to repair. Vince came and did a top notch job. Horrible experience! Issue 1) Expense- This place was 34% more expensive than Speedy, which I've used, trust, and couldn't use this time because they're booked until Tuesday evening. Okay. I am willing to pay the premium for same day service. They *do not* offer mobile service to my area, so I was forced to drive to them and wait around for my car. Issue 2) They told me it would take 1-1.5 hours for them to fix my car window. I dropped my car off at 10am. I called before brining my car in, and they assured me the glass would arrive at their shop before I did, so I wouldn't be waiting for a shipment. When I arrived, they reaffirmed the 1-1.5 hour window. I gave them 2.25 hours, just to ensure I wasn't rushing them, but hadn't gotten a call. I showed up, and MY CAR WAS SITTING IN THE LOT, STILL BROKEN. Issue 3) There was no apologies, no quick work, no offer to make anything right, just attitude. Hey. You guys forgot my car in your shitty neighborhood for over two hours. You were *not* busy. There was one car in your bay when I arrrived. WTF is wrong with this place? What a rip off. Issue 4) The glass is of very low quality. It's wavy in appearance. *sigh. Do *not* use these guys. read more

While I was there a gentlemen came in looking for a new windshield due to his current one getting condensation. Rick suggested that the cause my be a leak in the rear window and that he might want to check that first. Service was fast and courteous, but........ I dropped off my car in the morning and would pick up in 3 hours. No problem. When I came back, car was done and parked in front. Paperwork was quickly processed signed off. Workmanship looked great on the outside. Inside was a different story. There were shards of glass in my dash speakers, on the seats, in the side window channels, and in the guage cluster. There were also footprints all over the inside mats and door sills, so the windshield must've been changed in their side dirt lot. What a great place. I found out about them a few years ago when they repaired a rock ding for free (wasn't covered by State Farm) - I never forgot that. A different vehicle just got a ding that cracked the windshield so I immediately called them. Mary got me in the next day and the car was done in 1.75 hours. A few people had told me to get my windshield replaced at Genuine Auto Glass in Auburn and I was not disappointed. Everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful! I sat in the waiting area while I waited for my windshield to get replaced, and Mary was answering multiple phone calls at once for not only the Auburn location, but the Puyallup location as well. I think the Puyallup phones were still redirecting to Auburn after the weekend. She handled the situation with such friendliness and poise even after the phone situation was corrected. I'm sorry about the other reviewer, but I had just the opposite. I've had my windshield replaced twice, both by them. I have State Farm Insurance and Safe lite, speedy and the rest were three times expensive, rude and condescending. When I called this small company, Mary the front person answered the phone for both Tacoma and Auburn. Now, I'm not sure where you went, but I dealt with Auburn since I live in Federal Way. 1st time, I had several rock chips from good ole semi trucks with those rock beds falling out all over cars. I think there should be a law, but that's a whole new issue. So, I called and one new windshield, no worries, appointment easy and I brought in treats for getting me in so early and fast. I was in and out within an hour. I waited the first time. The second time (there were two replacements and one sealer) I had an emergency, a huge rock was thrown at my car driving. It crushed the windshield and glass shattered all over me. It's illegal to drive with this damage, but I had no choice and wasn't going to pay for towing. I called Genuine and they were booked till Saturday. I explained and called my insurance and they did the same call folks. Everyone else was busy and trying to charge more than my deductible. ALL of the other places. Having been there before Mary took my info said that a guy would be there and she wouldn't. I got there dropped car off and went to a movie and back. Car was done within an hour. He left message while I was in movie. Perfect. Also, had rock chip this time from some random rock kickup. I called since rock chips form those with windshields from here are free to fill. I did. The guy let me pull up and he did that while waiting for the glue to dry on another vehicle. Ten minutes in and out. So, my experience was phenomenal. I told me husband to go there. And, we will. Why? Because I will be a loyal customer to anyone who takes care of me. I also support mom and pop shops over the box ones. Also, these windshields are the same ones Toyota calls into for their fixers on their lots. Toyota doesn't have a problem, neither do I. I have a Toyota and they will refer customers here from the service place I go to. :) Mary's awesome, and the young lad I had help me on both the second time and the filler the third time was easy going, fast and friendly! read more
