We had a windshield and passenger window replacement scheduled. Went in at the appointment day/time only for them to tell us that appointment had been cancelled. When we showed them our valid confirmation email they just said "well I don't know, but it was cancelled". Questioning/complaining did no good. We left and found another shop (slightly cheaper too). If made an appt at 7am to have rear glass replaced after some road debris took it out. I arrived at 7. Door was locked. I walked around the side the building and one of the guys let me in and took my keycard. I was out by 8:45am which was great. My only issue was that they used a 3rd party glass that has some dark lines my oem glass didn't have. But that's on my insurance and not them. read more

Guy was in my driveway for less than 10 minutes before he cracked my windshield, and now I'm on the hook for a $1,200 windshield replacement. Response from the tech and head office "oops, sometimes these things happen; it's very rare! Don't worry, he had 8 months of experience!" Very friendly, but not at all understanding or apologetic for costing me so much money. NOT going to have them do my replacement; taking my business to a local shop with better customer service, better reviews, and lower prices. They don't want to work! I reached out to their Auburn location through insurance to replace my windshield since it had huge crack. After scheduling appointment they reach out and cancel since they don't have enough workers to perform the job. Then I schedule with Puyallup location but had to wait a week. Apparently they have 15 minutes appointment wait time if you are late by 18 minutes they won't serve you even there is nobody else there. They don't understand how to work with customers. I have set-up an appointment on-line to fix the road rock damage that hit my windshield on January 30th, a repair technician is supposed to go out between the hours of 8-12 noon, I didn't sleep coming home from work in the morning of the 31st just to wait for this technician to arrived! Well, he maximized the time frame and didn't arrived until a few minutes before 12 noon, so, that goes my rest day away! He started working on my Tesla windshield with a star damaged without using a towel to put on top of the body, this created scratches on the paint with the tool he had used to reach the windshield!! He started scraping off the center of the damaged and when he was done, I noticed the side parts didn't seem to have the resin field in! I raised this concern to him, but, was told that he has an expert eyes and could tell that the part was filled in! I trust that he knows what he was doing as I have used other Safelite branches before with my previous cars and had no issues at all! The technician seemed to be friendly and good communicator, he mentioned that he works in Auburn branch and he was in the business only for six-months! This raised concern on me as sending somebody to handle a high-end car with minimal work experience is worrisome! Supposedly, car shouldn't be driven within 30-mins after work is done, I have driven the car the following day instead to make sure that the work done will be intact! It was raining and noticed the windshield damaged created a line on both sides of the center where my concern was raised! Also, just noticed that side from the windshield had scratches left on the body of the car! Now, my windshield needed a complete replacement which I opted to have Tesla handle as Safelite is not approved by Tesla to work on their cars! Tesla owners beware! As of the scratches left on the paint I have raised both of these issues to Safelite, and, was told that the Auburn branch will keep in touch with me! I reported these issues the following day after work was done, February 1st! I just received a call from this branch today, February 12! The lady who called me (seemed to have introduced herself as the Assistant Supervisor/Manager), seemed to be more defensive, instead of taking care of the damaged done by their technicians and accept responsibility, she opted to question me to the point of annoyance! My time is so valuable and has no room for playing back and forth! I clean my car personally inside out daily that takes me 2-3 hours, so, I am very familiar if new scratches appears! She asked me to take a picture of the scratches , so, I have to get out of my car to do so! Then, she questioned why I'm just taking pictures and haven't done beforehand! I haven't even took a picture of the windshield damage as I trusted the repair technician will do so! So, instead of this woman resolving the issue, she opted to hanged up on me as she couldn't take to hear the fact that I told her that she doesn't seemed to want to take care of the responsibilities of the damaged the repair technician had created! These leave an unpleasant experience from these Auburn branch of Safelite! Hopefully, due to unsatisfactory work done, my insurance will be compensated back on the amount paid for the supposed repair! read more

We had a crack appear unexpectedly on our driver side window. I put in a request through our insurance and received a call the next day through Safelite. I was able to get a mobile appointment at my house for the next day. While the time I received initially was between 8-5 (quite the time frame!), I received a call early in the morning that the technician would arrive between 11:30am and 12:30pm. When he was on his way, I received another call that he would arrive in about 10 minutes which ended up being about 11:30am. Balin was my technician and he was friendly, thorough and efficient. He was able to explain the process and what to expect. He gave me a 30-60 minute time frame and it ended up taking on the longer side due to the glass being stubborn. The new glass was a bit thicker than our old glass and caused the window to roll up more slowly. Balin offered to have the window replaced with specially ordered glass, but we decided that was not necessary. The window works and we don't need it to win a race with the passenger side window. Since this was a side window, there was no dry time and it was ready to go as soon as Balin was finished. He gave me his card an a small handout on their warranty. Overall, the process was fast, simple and with their mobile service, incredibly convenient. Would be happy to use Safelite again in the future. read more

Read some of the comments so we were a bit nervous but the people in the office, once we found it since they are under construction, were very nice and helpful. Really poor experience with Safelight. First appointment, they just blew me off and no-showed. Took four hours off work to wait for them, they didnt seem to care. Second appointment, again waited fours hours for them and took off work, and they were an hour late from their prescribed window. I had a small rock chip on my window that wasn't all that big but showed tendency to want to crack if left unattended. The so-called technician started off with saying he can't guaranty it wont crack when he tries to fill the chip, and sure enough, he must have known when he proceeded to use a tool that put a lot of unnecessary impact on the chip and further cracked to about 5 times its initial size. He filled it leaving a large crack on both sides of the original rock chip outside the fill that will definitely crack further now. I've seen a fair amount of rock chip repairs and this new person clearly screwed it up badly, made it far worse and pawned it off with thier mantra that they can't guarantee their work. The only thing they do actually guarantee is that they won't be responsible for their own negligence. That was confirmed when I spoke to the supervisor and received rudeness and cited the same non-guaranty; then proceeded to now want to replace my entire window, which I would now be on the hook for the $500 deductible because of their poor workmanship. I declined; why would I want someone so negligent to screw up an even bigger job and cost me even more... Bottom line is that I understand when people mess things up from time to time, but they should own their mistakes and at least try to mitigate them instead of dismissing them, make excuses and say "sorry, we can't guarantee our work. I'm a pilot, I have to guaranty mine... I will never ever use Safelight and will ensure everyone I know at least knows my story before they use Safelight. read more

They were nice about it, they taped a spare mirror up temporarily, they said they'll order me one from the dealership.they said it should be a couple days.I didn't hear anything. I stopped in a week later, they pull out an Amazon package & I wasn't happy about it. The mirror was cheaper than my original one, smaller & cheap. I'm giving two stars because the I have had work done by them before, and the service for the price is fair. BUT the scheduling is only controlled and maintained by online and robo_phone operators. I made a appointment on Monday to have service done Friday between 8am-12pm. After moving my day around to accommodate, they changed my window to 12pm-5pm on day of service. Tech told me there was nothing he could do and instructed me to cancel the appointment myself. I couldn't reach an operator via phone and tried chatting with someone online, but all they could offer is trying a different day of service. I canceled after trying to resolve the situation to no avail, and have a appointment with a different glass company. They do not respect people's time or honor time-frames you schedule if they get busy. And you will not be informed until day of service about the change in scheduling. To use this service you might need to block your day from 8am-5pm. Take a close look at the response Safelite gave to this review. They have a AI bot managing there yelp review feedback too. I brought my VW ID.4 to have the windshield replaced. By the time they proceed when connecting the car to the scan tool sadly it had a bunch of codes, I was told they will not be able to proceed until VW will clear the codes and provide the proper documentation about it as their company policy state due to liability. I took my car to the dealership at VW Bud Clary, they were able to eras de codes and generate the document needed for the windshield replacement, when Contacting Brandon from the Safelite location in Tukwila he was able to talk to my service agent at VW and they were able to sort out the situation. After waiting 2.5hrs at VW for the service I notice there was a Safelite location close to it: 420 37th St NW Unit B Auburn, WA 98001 United States I stop by to check if by any chance they had the windshield in stock since he Tukwila location had to order a new windshield since the once set aside for me had a chip. This is where everything went south as the gentlemen wasting in that location came to asses the damage on my windshield and proceed to tell me Safelite will not repair the car due to liability and policies. I have had the worst customer service experience with the Portland location, I have taken my car to Safelite in Auburn for years and never had a problem. My son took his car to the Portland location yesterday, they did not complete the job and sent him on his way, and I have been trying now for two days to talk to somebody at that location and have been completely unsuccessful. Have contacted the customer service number, they were also unable to get anybody in that location to answer the phone. I emailed the manager and the assistant manager, and although I'm not surprised, I have not heard from either one. I literally just want to talk to somebody about what happened to my son's car yesterday and I am unable to speak to anyone. The customer service department is still showing that my car is being worked on, Which is a joke since the car is at school with my son, so they can't even get their act together within their own corporate office. All I have asked for was to actually speak to somebody who has knowledge of my sons car and I have not been able to do that for two days now.sadly, the Auburn location will lose my business as well. Update: so now I called the office again, I figured I was in a better headspace and could be calmer, but got the lousy customer service again from Brenda in the call center, which was just as bad as the service from Shannon yesterday. BRENDA has advised me that they're not allowed to provide the name of the district manager, nor can they provide any contact information. Which is strange considering yesterday the representative gave me what was supposed to be the email address for the district manager. I will NEVER trust or recommend Safelite Autoglass! My windshield replacement with aftermarket resulted in missing parts like panel clips and a weather seal for the hood. The windshield was dirty on the inside, finger prints and an oily film, I had sticky sealant on my dash, they failed to recalibrate the camera so I had to drive around for a few weeks without my safety features until I got an OEM from Genuine Auto Glass and proper camera recalibration. read more

As usual Safelite provided excellent service. Mitchell, the service agent, responded to our address in a timely fashion. Met with him next to our car and he was very personable, knowledgeable and thoughtful of the parking situation in the apartment complex. I indicated to him that there was still shattered glass on the interior of our car and he assured me not to worry, he would have it all cleaned up. After about an hour or so, we were notified via text messaging our window was fixed and to meet him outside to make a payment for the repair. Got a simple crack in my windshield and scheduled my appointment well in advance of the service date (3weeks). Day of service I arrange child care and proceed to drop off the vehicle. 4 hours later I get a call saying we don't have your glass on hand. Sorry come back later or you can pay extra for OEM for service today. Fast forward 4 weeks, glass finally in hand (and they didn't not honor "getting me to the front of the line for their mix up). "Work" gets done. My rain and lane assist sensor is jacked up and at free way speeds you here intermittent wind noise. Great.... So I call to final a warranty claim, no one picks up. Corporate can't help, and regardless of how many emails, messages, no response back. So I schedule the work as "new claim" in order to get back in the shop to fix the issues they created. Day of service, I get told "we spoke yesterday..." they never called. They get apprehensive of honoring their warranty. That "they wouldn't pull the glass" without manager approval or if the sensor need correction they would "try to" fix it without pulling the glass. After a test drive and them correcting a botched sensor, 50% of the warranty work was honored. I still have intermittent wind noise and have wasted 6+ hours driving back and forth, arranging child care, to get shoddy work complete. If you're looking for glass replacement, go to Genuine Auto Glass. If your looking to stay on hold with corporate or spend hours trying to call the shops local number to get a message or get transferred to the Puyallup shop, then come here. Stay away. Only plus side is the distillery next door to offer you a drink after the head ache you'll get from the service. read more

Took my car down 2 weeks ago to make appt for replacement windshield. It's a '99 Porsche 911 so I knew they wouldn't have glass in stocks. No problem, they said they would order and come day of install have the car all day to take their time. No issues here as I want it done right. Ffwd to today, day before the appt they called and said they are canceling the workorder/appt because they can't get the rubber moulding. I asked why they waited to last minute and put me off for weeks and all they can say is they can't get the moulding, goodbye... Well, that is the last they will ever see of any of my vehicles. First time I came here was a couple years ago when I had an appointment to have a windshield replaced got here and they had shipped the glass to the wrong store! They wanted me to wait six hours while they had it delivered from their store which is 30 minutes away so first experience at this Safelite was one star. This time I just had a chip in my windshield fixed and insurance paid for it but sadly you can still see the big chip in the window. insurance paid 100% for the repair but sadly it still needs to be replaced which is a $500 deductible. First, I need to start by saying that I am a super impatient person, especially when I have no option but to stay at ANY shop that has to work on my vehicle. Some impatient driver passed me on the freeway and spat a rock at my windshield. I wasn't even driving under the speed limit! It was a small nick. I unfortunately couldn't pull over to call for windshield repair bc there was no available hazard lane. The crack split to beyond a repair job. It had to be replaced. I have a 2023 brand new vehicle. I had to get a manufacturer windshield replacement, and it took time for it to be delivered. I got to the shop early, hoping that they could start it earlier. Sometimes, that works sometimes, it doesn't. I made my own self impatient today. I didn't expect to have to deal with this issue. I also went in with the bad attitude of "i dont want to wait there for 3 hours..." None of this was any of the staffs fault. The technician I ended up dealing with was so apologetic. I felt horrible... It's not his fault I had to wait! It's the impatient driver fault who caused the problem... The staff was amazing! I'd definitely return! Great googly moogly, what a terrible experience. I had an appointment this past Saturday between 12 and 5pm. The tech was not only over an hour late, but he had the wrong glass for my car. I was told "the manager will definitely call you Monday morning, there's nothing that can be done until then". Well, Monday morning has come and gone. I tried calling the shop directly, but both numbers I've been able to find for Safelite are less than useless (888-843-2798 and 877-465-5224). The phone-tree, after some negotiation, says "Stay on the line to speak to customer service", and initiates a transfer. The new phone-tree has a 90-second long message that culminates with "...and we can't take your call now. Good bye!" so there is no way to get ahold of a human at either Corporate HQ or the local store. tl; dr - I've initiated a dispute with Paypal to get my $500+ dollars back. We'll see if Safelite contests and makes me wait for my money, or if they refund before the 30-day waiting period is up. In the meantime, I've got a local auto-glass shop queued up to do the replacement, for $150 cheaper, and they have confirmed they have the CORRECT glass in stock, ready to go. I have not yet had my window replaced by Safelite. This is a review of my attempts to contact the Auburn location. I just wanted to ask if I could come in today and have a plastic shield put on my window to hold me over until my appointment. It should have taken less than five minutes. If you want to speak with a live Safelite representative, the number to call is 1 (888) 800- 4527 but you will not be transferred to a specific location. If I am able to obtain a direct line to the Auburn store, then I will post it here. --------------------------------------------------------- Update: I got a card from the Auburn store that lists the number as (253) 939-5895 but when I called it just played hold music for a minute and then said "Sorry, no one is available to take your call, thank you for calling Safelite" and disconnected. So, yeah. They really don't want to help customers over the phone, at all, so if that is important to you, definitely take your business elsewhere. The employees there were friendly, though, and they put the plastic cover on my window in about 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------------- I called the following numbers that I found on the Safelite website and the web: 1 (844) 800-2727 1 (253) 275-0507 1 (844) 250-6606 All three of these numbers took me to the same menu. After confirming my appointment, the bot asked if I needed further help with my appointment. I said "yes" the first two times, and after waiting a couple of minutes, was told that all appointment issues are handled online, go to the website and thanks for calling Safelite. The third time I answered "no," and was... given the same response! So if you already have an appointment, then Safelite... won't speak to you? I've worked for 20 years in customer service and I personally would not ignore a brand-new customer who had made an appointment to spend $500 at my company. On the website, I was able to speak to a live rep in chat, who gave me the number I posted at the top. She told me that Safelite is trying to move all of their service online. This is really dumb for a company that has physical locations. And it would be a REALLY good idea to make it clear that live help is unavailable on these numbers before their customers waste their time. Now, to be fair, when I did get a rep on the phone (after I wasted 20 minutes of my time on a wild goose chase), she was very nice and helpful. She called the store to make sure I could come in today. I apologized to her at the beginning of the call for sounding frustrated, and that I had been trying for twenty minutes to ask my simple question, and she was very understanding. I can't imagine how many people are in a negative frame of mind by the time they get to her after wasting their time on numbers that go nowhere, and of course she and the other reps have no control over any of this. Safelite: your customer "service" procedures are not only off-putting to potential customers, they are also exposing your front-line employees to a nonstop barrage of negative energy. You should take better care of them because her courteous professionalism is the ONLY reason I didn't cancel my appointment today and take my $500 somewhere else. I'm giving Safelite 3 stars for now, and that is only because of the lovely lady who actually helped me (she herself deserves 5 stars!). My appointment isn't for several days, and I'm planning to spend that time getting quotes from other companies. I live less than 5 minutes from this location. Went last week to get my windshield replaced as they were one of the companies that my insurance sponsored. Had the appointment for 2 weeks so altered my day and had a neighbor drive me, only for them to find out once they took the new windshield off the shelf that it had a scratch on it. I said, this probably doesn't happen too often and the man's reply was, "No, it happens all the time" which really surprised me. They looked for another windshield and said the closest one was in Portland, Oregon and I had to book an appointment another three weeks out. Very disappointing. Just did not like the atmosphere and the service. Called another place and they were surprised that Safelite couldn't find a windshield because they said that there was a warehouse in Sumner that had 30 for my car. After arriving for the appointment they ask you to sign a waiver absolving them of any responsibility for damage to your vehicle or expansion of the chip during service. Terrible bait and switch tactic. If they want a waiver, provide the info before they accept your money and before they make you drive in. While driving through Oregon, one of the tractor trucks kicked up a rock and chipped my windshield. Seeing as how we've replaced the windshield twice already, I didn't want to go through that again. So yesterday, I chatted with a safelite sales tech and was informed that I needed to go online to schedule an appt. I was able to schedule one for the very next morning. I put in the notes that we are headed out on a boat at 12:00 and I needed for my 8-12:00 window to shrink if possible. Justin, the service tech showed up. He was ver professional. We discussed the issues with my windshield (it has heating wires that run through it) and there was a chance for one of the smaller cracks to spread. Justin was cautious and explained the process to us. He did an amazing job. You can barely see the chip now and I won't need to replace the windshield. It cost 1/5 of the price for Justin the fix the chip. I would highly recommend Safelite and if possible, ask for Justin. He did a fabulous job!! Bon voyage!! read more

I waited all afternoon, but they didn't show up. I received no call telling me they were running behind or asking me to reschedule, which I would have done. I understand it's hard to estimate how long jobs will take. Just after five, I called. They didn't know why my tech didn't show up. They said the manager of the store would call on Monday. Crickets.
