We were facing well over 300K for foundation repair costs, with metal bracing for our foundation that would have been inferior to Geobears Product for our Apt Building. Dante First came out, introduced us to the procedure, that totally embraced and corrected our sinking foundation on one of our two 3 story apt buildings. Gene and crew were very respectful, polite, and quick/diligent in getting their work done. There was an instance where a gentleman was working at my kitchen window and my dogs were going off. The window was open, so I went over to close it and he was deep in his work but said, "Sorry about that ma'am." Just appreciated that. Not even their fault. It's mine and my dogs. Just a great crew. We bought our first home and a year in we started realizing we were getting cracks in our ceilings, our tile was shifting, and the door to our garage wasn't closing. We share a wall to the freeway so they built a wall in between. I'm sure they compacted the dirt and shifted our foundation. So we knew we had to hire Gene when he came out and talked about our options. We had the misfortune of having foundation issues that were causing the house to split in half. We had cracks and vertical displacement in the slab being echoed in the walls. Deep water had traversed under the home and was washing away the soil, leaving large voids under the house slab. The water was actually filtering up through the slab in places. Most companies want to drive pillars underneath the footings, but this would not have solved our problem. A civil engineer told me that it couldn't be solved and to just live with it. Really?! I finally found Geobear. Dante Miller came out promptly to assess our problem and then emailed us a report and job proposal. The situation could be repaired, but it was going to cost a lot more money than we could afford. I felt devastated. Somehow, we had to work something out, or this house was going to be destroyed. I contacted Dante and asked if the work could be done in sections. While it is better to do the job in one shot, Dante and Geobear were willing to work with us so that we could realistically pay for the work. We have completed 3 of 5 sections and it has stopped the house movement. The slab is now dry, supported and stable in those areas treated. The treatment teams are good to work with. This company is fantastic. Immediate response to our phone call for concerns about slab leak and possible moisture barrier defects. Dante came to my house today to determine how water is coming up thru the slab floor. He was very thorough in looking at ceiling and walls for signs of settling, measured the elevations through out the house and examining the exterior for settling and possible water intrusion. Turns out the culprit is a downspout on the other side of the house that drops water right at the seam between the original house foundation and an addition built years later. A relatively small and easy fix vs the $42k estimate I received from another foundation repair company that wanted to jackhammer my floors to run French drains and destroy my landscaping all without determining where the water was coming from.
