A lot has transpired since my first introductory session where I was absolutely clueless about a transformative journey I was embarking on. I sincerely thank Edmond Gordon, DPT for referring me to Adam Hewitt, LMP owner and health practitioner at The River Stone Shiatsu Center. Yes, it took a reprioritization for time, finances, self care, and firm commitment to see it through. I had to also open my mind to learn new concepts and be receptive to change. Cumulative effects from stress, bad indulgent diet, lack of quality sleep, sedentary lifestyle, and a host of chronic conditions and other issues presented as a challenge. I needed to own up and do something to improve my quality of life. There was a time I could swim laps for an hour, run 12 miles a day, ride my bike 50 miles, carry multiple 50 pound bags of material. My mantra was that I can sleep all I want when I'm dead. Life's too short, eat dessert first. It was always go, go, go, go, go! That was then, fast forward to now.
