We called George on Thursday 10/20/22 after noticing arcing and sparks coming from our main breaker in our Electrical box. George was in the middle of a family emergency but knew that this was an emergency for us as well--so he made time for us. He came over and switched out our breaker within a half an hour, then proceeded to go outside and check some 'caulking' around our outside feed and replaced that for us as well. We were not a customer of his either, I had simply chosen his name from Yelp reviews and location. I needed to upgrade my house service as I ran out of room, also needed to make sure our pool was hooked up properly and to add an outlet for the garage. George came highly recommended. He made sure we knew exactly what was going to happen and when. I had made sure the crawlspace opening was big enough to get into (as you could barely fit a head through the hole in the wall) and made sure he had plenty of room to work in around the pool and were the original panel was. He was prompt, courteous, professional, neat and organized. He also took the time to make sure everything was working, that all areas were cleaned up and we knew how everything worked ( timer for pool and how the switches worked) when the job was done. I wish I could leave NO stars. I waited a month for an appointment with this guy (I needed a ceiling fan replaced). Two days before the appointment, the whole marathon bombing thing happened and he said he was going to have to reschedule, even though they caught the guy on Friday and my appointment was on Saturday. Fine. I ask for an appointment the next weekend, figuring with all the good reviews he'd go out of his way to make something work. NOPE. He tells me the next appointment he has available is for May 11. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? If you choose not to work (even though there was no danger since they CAUGHT the guy), you should put the customers who you bumped FIRST (And the attitude dude? Loose it. I'm telling everyone I know not to use this jerk.) ALSO: In response to your comment "George", I would have settled for even the weekend after next, (that being May 4). I get family obligations. But to ask me to wait until May 11 (almost an entire month later?) Unacceptable! And the fact that you're the owner of the company means that you could easily have made a work-around to squeeze me in. It was a 1.5-2 hour job tops. George deserves more than five stars. He just completed some work for me and not only is he GREAT at his job, but he is very professional and he cares about your house. He takes time to make sure that everything is clean and just the way he found it. The work is absolutely wonderful and he definitely does not try to sell you into things you don't need or want. We can't speak highly enough of our first time experience with George. He's a busy guy, but worth the wait if you want quality service. He was professional, while personable and educating us every step of the way for numerous issues we had. The main issue being our driveway lights went out. George was able to pinpoint the problem through process of elimination...it wasn't the driveway lights. He discussed ethical options with us in resolving the problem and prevented us from having bigger problems. While he was there, we had him review previous electrical work we'd had done over the years. He verified some were fine and others he corrected, bringing them up to code...no short cuts. I needed an electrician for our above-ground pool. I contacted the guy I usually use and he gave us a quote which, to me, seemed too high. I came to Yelp to try to find someone else to get another quote, and found George. George contacted me right away via email. Once we hooked up and spoke to each other, we arranged a time for him to come out and give us an estimate. He said he'd be at my house around 9 AM on a Saturday. Around 8:45 he called saying he'd be slightly late -- around 9:15 (and, BTW, he showed up exactly at 9:15!). His communication is awesome! He gave us an estimate and remained in constant email contact with us throughout our process. Even when our town used a little less conventional methods (i.e., we had to get the electrical permit at the same time as our building permit, which I guess is not typical), George happily went with the flow, and even went above and beyond (contacting the town to ask the inspector exactly what was required, what he wanted to see, etc.). When we arranged for a day for George to come, he was here on time as promised, and got the work done exactly as quoted: no surprises or "oh-by-the-ways." He cleaned up his stuff and was great to work with. After his part was done, he still remained in contact with us ensuring the inspector came out and making sure that all was approved and final. I couldn't have asked for a better, more smooth process than we had with George. He is definitely our 1st choice for electricians, and we would happily recommend him to anyone needing his services. read more

I called George after reading all the positive reviews from fellow Yelpers. George is great, absolutely professional, and he does charge a very fair price. We have a couple of things to fix in the house, and he did a great job on both. He is very careful with his diagnosis of the problems, looking for the most efficient and cost effective way to fix the electrical problems. We have tried other electricians in our area and we will never go back to them. It is calling George every time from now on when we need a real professional who charges us fair price for all our electrical solutions. George is also very friendly and very easy to talk to. He will go the extra mile and ask you to give him a call if you have any problems. He gave us a lot of great DIY tips so we can fix some minor things in the house on our own without having to pay big $$$ for it. I can see why George has these great reviews. I emailed him yesterday with a question about electricity in a section of my kitchen being out. He emailed me back, apologizing that he is only licensed to work in MA and not RI. He could have stopped there. Instead, however, he wrote me a length email of what I could try to correct the issue myself before resorting to paying someone. He acknowledged the economy and customers' budgets. George definitely seems like a class act. I hope to move back to MA someday (never living in RI again!) and, if/when I do, I hope George is still in the field and available, as I would be happy to have such a contact for electrical needs. read more

This was my first time working with an electrician and I couldn't be happier with the experience. We hired George for the wiring of an above ground pool. After calling about 15 electricians, he was one of two who called back and could assess our request and provide a quote within a week. During the initial assessment, George educated us on what exactly needed to be done, and was able to answer all of our questions confidently. Even when we made an additional request to add a receptacle on our deck. His response was yes, and how about we add another so you can blend your frozen beverages while hosting on the deck? I bet you can guess our excitement! His estimate came in comparable with the other electrician, however it also included everything to do with permits and inspection, making it worry free for us. George was able to complete the work the following week and didn't balk when encountering the unexpected. Unplanned, he wasn't able to work with the existing underground wiring. Regardless, he was able to finish the work in the planned amount of time and was extremely helpful to anticipate our questions and needs. He was courteous of our time, our home and our needs as his customer. Though we do not anticipate needing more electrical work in the near future, he'll be the one we call when we do! read more

George and his colleague did an exceptional job in my condo. The work was easy to schedule, the quote was fair, and the project itself was executed very smoothly. He installed recess lighting throughout the condo, leaving the ceiling without a mark. The condo was perfectly clean at the end of every day (it was a three day job). The final invoice was UNDER the quote because of breaker installations that were not needed (despite a last minute additional of a bathroom fan replacement). The painters who followed him were delighted to find the ceilings in perfect condition and were excited to work with him. The work was exceptional, he was incredibly responsive during the job, and he seems to take real pride in his work and your enjoyment of the final product. George is a fabulous electrician and a wonderful guy! I used him on a job earlier this year and he was reliable, efficient, reasonable and did an excellent job so I didn't hesitate to call him in a bind today. My wall oven got delivered and not installed with house guests arriving in the morning. Given some scheduling constraints, he generously offered to do my work on a Sunday, without charging more than the estimate. (I hope I'm not committing him to working on Sundays with this review; just wanted to point out he was really nice about it.) He also went above and beyond and helped out with a couple of extra things I threw at him at the last minute, even coming with me to the hardware store to buy supplies for the last-minute outlet I asked him to put in, and giving me advice about other questions I had about other appliances. I've had George do my basement finished room, and my garage to family room conversion. Everything was done on his end to perfection. This past winter, my home was devastated by ice dams. George went above and beyond to assist me in getting all the re-wiring of my home done. My insurance company didn't want to pay for the wiring in the walls and George took the time to pull up all the electrical code laws to force the insurance company to pay. George worked with my building contractor to get things moving quickly. When my town charged more for the permit than he had estimated for, he said not to worry and absorbed the additional cost ( I'm sure because I was a repeat customer) but that is really how nice, and genuinely good hearted George is. He even had the patience to talk to my overly curious boys and answered all their questions with all the work being done, all without skipping a beat, or getting aggravated. I called George "Five Stars" this afternoon around 1pm and luckily he was able to come right over. I was having trouble with a blown fuse, but I didn't know that yet and I'm not skilled enough to figure out the problem.
