The owner harassed us with threating and angry e-messages and told us on the first day of our vacation that he was keeping our deposit even before he'd assessed any possible damage. This was very difficult for us and nearly ruined our vacation. Even though we had meticulously cleaned the RV and returned it in better condition than we received it, the vendor decided that because we had gone to an area that had the potential to be dusty, but was not prohibited by the contract, his normal maintenance needed to be moved up by some unknown amount and that we should pay an extra $1,200 for the replacement of all engine fluids and clean the entire plumbing system. The RV was operated on dusty but well-maintained roads for approximately 4.5 hours and then parked in its designated space for a week; there were no dust storms. These are not the serious conditions that would justify such a drastic solution. I could see replacing an air filter, but replacement of all engine fluids and the nonsense about the plumbing were no more than gross exploitation. The owner simply found a way to force a customer to pay for his routine maintenance.

Last night our family began a new and extra special annual tradition. Half a million lights,…read moreholiday vendors, live music and Santa brought this simple and comfortable hotel to a grand level. Sipping hot chocolate while walking paths surrounded by sparkling lit scenes made for a great evening. Adding to our fun was a very good dinner in the hotel's comfortable restaurant. Our rooms were simple, clean, and close to the on-site event. The free continental breakfast was also terrific. The make yourself waffles are terrific. We had a great stay. We will plan on making this an annual event for our family.

This isn't a luxury park with water slides or lazy rivers but this is the place if you want to relax and enjoy nature. It is lovely park with grass, trees and a creek. There are trees and bushes between sites making you feel more private. Price is very good. It's easy to get to off I-5. There are big rig sites and many are extra long allowing you to stay hooked up in your site for a quick overnight. The most important, for me, is to support a family owned business and not a big corporation. Service is wonderful. They have a website and are so nice when you call because you prefer talking to a person. If they don't answer because there are out of the office, they call back which isn't always the case at other parks.

They installed a SCA pop-top/sleeper roof, lights, swivel seats, charging ports and misc 12v electric/solar connections. Being a detailed-oriented person, it was delighted that Ron communicated so well with me, which resulted in no surprises and work done exactly as discussed. We had many email correspondences during which Ron had numerous great suggestions and concisely replied to my many questions. Before talking with Ron, I had thought I knew exactly what I wanted to be done. During our conversations he made several suggestions that greatly improved the end result with no upselling. Keystone' prices were very competitive with others who do similar work. Their craftsmanship is high quality and the scheduling was exactly as stated. I am happy to recommend Ron Aastad and Keystone to anyone looking to up-fit their Metris van.

The RVs almost all had permanent additions on them. Some had roofs built on over the top of the RV roof. This is not a place I would consider staying. However, it is definitely fulfilling the needs of its residents. There doesn't appear to be strict restrictions like you will find at most other places.

The spots are nice, I camped on my motorcycle with a hammock tent. The sound of the river is nice. Bugs were not too bad. The campground is kinda run-down and the vault toilets are a bit of a walk. Zero cell service here so be prepared. For $15, you can't complain for it baring a little run down. Very close to Terwilleger Hot Springs which is fantastic. The best part of the place is the awesome camp host, Tom. Great, great personable guy who got me my firewood and checked on me with a wave and a smile. Not intrusive at all. Told me about the area, where he would be in the other campground since he covers all 3, just in case I needed anything and is a very nice guy.

At the time of my visit, a Sunday in July 2015, this campground was virtually deserted! I spent a very peaceful night here, then drove over to nearby Hot Springs (about a 15-minute drive). Would definitely stay here again!
