Dr. Pop is the most amazing PCP I've ever had in my 36 years on this planet. She is perfect. She…read morelistens, she educates, she referred me to an OBGYN who saved my life, etc. She should win an award for her bedside manner and expertise. I would rate her 1000 stars.

Not everyone is a cookie cutter patient and none should be treated like that even if they were. I explained my concerns to the receptionist the first time I called. She (can't remember her name, blonde woman in the office with a sweet Southern twang) is the reason I initially felt comfortable making an appointment. She was not in a hurry to get me off of the phone and she did everything she could to make the appointment soon and as convenient for me as possible. Dr. Riedler was the only one available as soon as I needed to get in. Initially she was not the doctor that I intended to see, but it takes six months to get into him so I opted for Dr. Riedler. My reason for not intending to see her was because someone had referred me to the other doc, not for any other reason. I just wanted to go to someone that had a good experience with a doctor. I figured I could always switch if I needed to. That didn't end up being the case. My first visit with Dr. Riedler was quite impressive. She took the time to listen to ALL of my concerns. She didn't rush through and seemed genuinely concerned about making sure that I had all of my concerns addressed. She didn't talk down to me and understood my stance on some issues. Dr. Riedler not only took a great deal of time with me, but she ordered a battery of tests to see what was going on with me. She is extremely thorough. She sits down with the test results and not only tells you what they are but shows you. She highlights any areas of concerns and writes suggestions for trying to correct those issues. She doesn't skim through the results. When she is sure that you understand everything and have no more questions, she makes her way to the next patient. Check out is quick and easy. If possible, they set up the next appointment for you when you are making your co-pay and you get a text almost immediately for reference.

My husband and I have both been seeing Dr. Szulc for many years, and have always been pleased with…read moreher care. She is always prepared for my appointments, and is very thorough. I especially like that I can message her with a question, request for refill or some new prescriptions and she responds promptly. She prescribes medications that are covered by my insurance, and are cost-effective.

I started seeing her in my very early 20s when she worked at Bon Secours I followed her to TPMG. In the beginning, she was the best doctor. She asked a lot of questions, appeared to be attentive, showed she really cared about my health which is why I have continued to see her. As of the last two years since shes had her "own" practice there has some sort of a switch here. Shes "cold", shes rude, and when coming to be examined I was getting attitude and she wasnt really even examining me. I remember my ear was a problem she barely put the scope in my ear at all and said it was fine I go somewhere else and it was problem. Same with-other stuff she told me my health was fine but I see specialists and their wondering why my doctor didnt do this or that. When questioning it she still didnt have much response. I also inquired about a test result from hospital and she would not answer a simple question on the portal on what the test result that came back "negative" she actually ignored my one message I sent on it and said if I have questions on this said negative result, I had to make an appt. MAKE AN APPT TO GO OVER A NEGATIVE TEST RESULT? All I asked is what it meant? Im looking for a black doctor. Not sure if race is related to this but not coming back here. Wish I would've seen about Dr. Kumar. I also sent her a message about her not caring or responding and no response again. Usually a response same day. This was days ago. I would not recommend anyone is see her! Once you get in good with her for a little while you'll end up having to find a new doctor!

This office has really gone downhill since Dr. Winter's retired and TPMG took over. The office…read morestaff is horrible, particularly the office manager, Melanie Cayor. It is impossible to get a doctor to return a call. The staff is incompetent....they mess appointments up, don't answer the portal in a timely fashion. Sadly, Dr. Balderston has slipped, too. He has not followed up on important issues. Very frustrating and disappointing. I have been at that location for 44 years and am walking away. :( i would notbrecoomd that practice now.

After research, I saw Dr Bester and that my insurance (OptimaHealth) was accepted. Absolutely love my doctor and the nurses who work with her. Everyone is easygoing but looking out for your best interest. For example, I came for a simple prescription refill and during the routine check up she realized how much wax build up I had and offered to flush them out. Never heard of it before but they ensured me everything would be alright! And it was, definitely glad I got it done. Had an appointment at 7:40am on a Monday and was seen at my correct time. Not a long wait for the doctor and everything went smoothly. Everyone at this location are truly kind to include receptionists.

I have been going to Dr. Asuncion for about 30 years or so and cannot say enough about his kindness…read moreand compassion for his patients. I hope I never have to find another PCP because no one in my opinion could replace him.

Is it a natural part of the passage of life when you review more medical practices than night…read moreclubs? Sigh.... If you want a doctor who is not just knowledgable & caring, but also has a fabulous dry wit sense of humor, then Dr. Christopher Asuncion is your man. His "one liners" make going to the doctor a much more relaxed experience. My using Dr. A as a Primary Physician began years ago when my internist retired. A number of people at work went to a large, well established group in the Beach General corridor. So that's the practice I chose. Gradually everyone at work gravitated to Dr. A, a member of that practice at the time. When he left to found Mid-Atlantic Family Medicine, we all followed him. Dr. Asuncion isn't the type of Doctor you feel is rushing you out of the exam room. He will listen to your ailments & symptoms as long as you want to talk. And he remembers not just your medical conditions but also your family, interests & activities. Whenever I have one of my semi-regular sinus infections he will make sure that his staff works me into his always full schedule. And he will do his best to knock it out in the shortest time possible, especially if I have an important upcoming activity planned. It's quite humorous when he walks in the room & the first thing he says is "Got it again?" His decisions regarding whether you should be referred to a specialist for a newly diagnosed condition are prompt & correct. I've always been very happy with his specialist choices. An on-site lab technician eliminates the hassle of having to go to a hospital for blood work. Electronic transmission of prescriptions eliminates the need to carry a script to the pharmacy & make a return trip to pick it up, Access to the doctor is extremely easy. He is available by email, either responding by email or having his nurse or the office staff call. All are responsive & pleasant. The only down side to a one man family medicine practice is that he does need vacations & time off. His PA handles the chores in his absence. But of course I prefer Dr. A. The office is located in the Bon Secours Medical Building off South Plaza Trail, just north of Princess Anne Road. Both the building and the office convey the feelings of new, nicely decorated, clean & well lit. The spacious glass walls offer one an outside view that makes waiting in an exam room much more acceptable that four closed in walls. And the exam rooms are a nice size, rather than claustrophobic. Parking is plentiful and laid out so that it's always an extremely short walk to the entrance. Regular parking spaces are just as convenient as the handicapped slots. There is a covered drive-thru at the entrance, so one can drive an elderly or infirm patient directly to the door. Wheel chairs are available in the building lobby for their further use. Walk into the door at Mid-Atlantic Family Medicine and you are greeted pleasantly by your name. (Does this mean I go to the doctor too often?) It's a much more pleasant experience than the check-in ogre's at some medical practices who give one the feeling that you are interfering with their day. There must be a check-in ogre school, since so many have the same technique. Now I'm thinking of the one liner Dr. A would come up with if he read this review. I'm pretty certain I know exactly what it would be. So I'll just close on a serious note. Thank you for taking care of us Dr. A. You are very much appreciated.
