This has become one of my favorite spots! Every time I walk in, I'm reminded why I keep coming back. The inside is seriously stunning cozy, welcoming, and so thoughtfully designed. The light wood floors, soft colors, hanging plants, and curated furniture make it feel like a cross between a boutique café and a really pretty living room. The staff has always been kind and friendly the first time I had a lot of questions and the gentleman working was patient and helpful! Very appreciative! There's art for sale throughout the space, a little bookshelf you can borrow from, and even a private room you can reserve for meetings. Their bathrooms are honestly beautiful too (yes, I notice these things ). You can tell so much love and detail went into creating this environment. My drink recs: * Honey Cinnamon Latte (warm, comforting, perfectly sweet) * Blueberry Chai Latte (so unique + SO good) * Caramel Macchiato w/ an extra shot (sweet, strong, and absolutely amazing -- the perfect balance ) All are 10/10 and worth coming back for alone. The food menu is also great quality, fresh, and just as thoughtful as the drinks. This is our new favorite coffee shop as we have moved up north from DFW. We can't stand Starbucks and prefer something that isn't a chain. They have so many food options which I love because I have to have breakfast with my coffee. I cannot do it on an empty stomach. And the food is delicious. Breakfast burritos are my favorite thing here! Soooo good! But let's talk about the most important thing which is the coffee! I'm so addicted... I love the cookie butter latte but right now my favorite is the Madeleine which is for a limited time only. It tastes just like a Madeleine cookie. I also found somebody who does water color painting classes here which makes it even better. read more

Great coffee shop find! I met a fellow language-learning student here for coffee over the summer, and went back a couple more times. Loved the home-feel and coziness. The food was great, and so were the drinks I got (all iced drinks in the summer). We had a great time catching up on the comfy sofas and chairs up front. When I came back later, I set up at one of the tables and worked online for a little while. I believe I saw that they have a drive-through! Definitely a great alternative to the national chains. So I originally went to this place out of seeing it everytime on the way to work. Now i'm moving to new Mexico, sooooo it may be out of the way. I absolutely love it. The first time I went, I had a vanilla latte. Nothing major, but amazing. If they made a VL good, then sweet. I told my wife to try it out, so we got some on the way to her folks. Now, they are out of the way too. However, Blueberry Chai latte - OMG soooooo good. I absolutely love it. I had the egg sandwich too and that was delicious. Both times the service was amazing. The staff is friendly and great. The interior is super cool, with some local artwork for sale. The addition of games and open interior is great. If you are in melissa, check it out. read more

Definitely a favorite spot for locals (Anna/Melissa). I've had to do some studying/paperwork for work, and this place has great seating, vibe, and friendly staff. The coffee is spot on too. I get a regular cold brew with a splash of milk and sugar, and the barista's nail it each time. Drive thru is cool too, but I prefer to go in and get a feel of the vibe. For sure check this place out if you're driving on US-75 (it's not far off the highway). read more

Drinks were made relatively quick and they were so good. The aesthetic was really pretty too, lots chairs and outlets. I got the caramel drink and lavender latte. We were visiting family in Melissa and decided to stop for some coffee and a pastry. My husband isn't a fan of espresso, so he ordered their drip coffee and was very happy with it. It is flavorful but not as strong as an espresso drink would be. I had a latte, which I enjoyed very much - nicely pulled espresso and heated milk at just the right temperature We split an almond croissant. My husband asked for it to be warmed up, which didn't do the texture any favors. You could see the laminated layers but it didn't have the flaky outside after warming. It still tasted good, though; it's hard to go wrong with almond paste and buttery pastry! The service was great and we'll definitely stop in again the next time we're in town. read more

Finally made it back here to try this place out again a few weeks back. The place is still super cute inside and very clean. There's artwork of local artists covering the walls which I love. There's a huge curio cabinet full of games to play. It's very quiet and relaxing if you choose to do work on your computer. I do love that they added food items to their menu. The coffee cake muffins were very good. As for the coffee, it's decent, definitely better than the first few times I tried it. I love that it's locally owned and is another alternative to Starbucks or Scooters. Definitely aren't having to wait in lines and service is great here. read more

This is my spot on Saturday and Sunday. I like to take my book in, grab a cup of coffee, relax and read. They play music which isn't loud at all, overall, it is very quiet in there. They have puzzles & board games and artwork on the walls. The atmosphere is awesome in my opinion. They even have a small conference room available. The coffee is absolutely amazing, I get a mocha, or a black and white mocha. It is always smooth, rich, and creamy. I'd honestly say it is the best I've had anywhere. DO THEY SERVE COFFEE IN AN IV DRIP? i'd be a serious advocate for that if it was coming from George's. (: this isn't my first time here, it's super close to where i live, so i stop by as much as i can. i love their points system too lol my order: i typically go for the lavender latte (iced) with oatmilk & add white chocolate & it is consistently good. you know how you go to starbies & different baristas make your drink differently & often leave you disappointed? yea, well...not here. i've also tried the same latte frozen, FUEGO. their blender gets the frozen coffee soooooo silky smooth. it's literally magical and perfect for a hot day. i've also tried the vanilla cream (very sweet, but good & not coffee based) the only thing i will not order again is the toast lol, i got it with jam & butter & the bread was MASSIVE. however, i wouldn't order it again purely because the balance between the butter & jam was non-existent. it left me feeling very queasy & i only ate half. they have bagels, paninis, etc. on the menu as well. the staff is SUPER sweet though, like their parents raised them right. I'm talking about like if they were all trained by truett cathy himself (: ambiance: i frequent the drive thru but my first experience was inside & it's a really cute, homey set up. they also have board games & puzzles to entertain you if that's your steez. the seating is plentiful & i loved sitting at the booth that's closest to the register. all in all, this is the perfect little coffee shop near my house & i'm glad it's worked its way into being a favorite of mine. read more

I first discovered Georges when moving to Melissa in 2023. The baristas are always friendly and provide excellent service! When I was looking for a place to hold my bridal shower, we reached out to the owner, Cole, and he was so gracious to let us host it at the shop after hours. Been wanting to try this place for a long time, and I am so glad I did! First off, the atmosphere in this place is wonderful. Very clean and refined. Decorations and ambience are just perfect for a good coffee shop. Seems like a good place to study or hang out. The staff was friendly, and made us feel welcome here. I got a frozen hot chocolate, small sausage klobasnek, and peanut butter toast. The frozen hot chocolate was sweet and chocolatey; almost like a milkshake! Well-blended and really tasty. My first time, and already I have a favorite drink here. The sausage klobasnek tasted okay, but the pastry was dry. Might not have been made today. The peanut butter toast was awesome. It tasted like a house-made peanut butter; very creamy and delicious! Worth the price and I 100% recommend it! This was a great experience. What a coffee! The aesthetic of this place is freaking adorable! Karamie served me up the best drink id had in a long time. Maybe it was her smile and customer service that made it just that much sweeter. I'm 14 weeks pregnant and have had the hardest time finding treats and sips that make me happy. Talk about food aversions! But I now make my husband get me my George's coffee as often as I can just to have it (and if he doesn't I go by myself anyways always hoping that sweet worker is there again!) PLEASE ditch the Starbucks one block up and try this place! George's is AMAZING! They have a variety of coffee including decaf as an option. The snack items aren't as vast, but what they have has been tasty. They have delicious seasonal drinks as well and yummy non coffee items (lemonade, etc.). The prices are much more reasonable then the big coffee shops but the flavor isn't lacking. As a mom with 2 kids - I love the drive thru option, but the atmosphere is very kid and family friendly as well. They have a conference room you can reserve for meetings, but it's so quiet and chill it would be the perfect spot to work or meet friends. The space is brand new, beautiful and super clean. I saw on their Facebook they have fun events like trivia/game night which would be fun to attend. The staff is so nice and actually want to help you find a drink you'll like (ask you favorites flavors, etc). I love the lavender latte - I've been getting it iced since it's so hot.
