George's Garage in downtown Greensboro is sort of a new bar that's just got kicked off and started up some months ago. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with a fun vibe. The atmosphere is super chill, and they've got arcade games and a couple of pool tables that really bring a nostalgic, easygoing energy to the place. Shoutout to Brandon behind the bar he was awesome. Super friendly and attentive, and he makes a fantastic lemon drop! Whether you're just stopping in for a drink or looking to unwind for a while, this is a great place to kick back with friends. Definitely coming back. Highly Recommend!

Randomly popped into George's Garage on the tail end of date-night. It was such a cool vibe! Very laid back with a dive-bar feel but the chic modern decor made it feel more upscale. The space is utilized well with a large bar area & lounge seating. There is an additional section full of arcade games, a pool table and air hockey too! Definitely a fun spot all around with something for everyone. The bartenders were fun & engaging in conversation, plus made drink recommendations too! I ordered their French75 and that thing packed a punch for sure! I hope to go back when the garage doors are open.

Decided to try a new downtown adult night spot with some friends for my birthday. We found George's Garage ...and didn't want to leave. Comfy chairs + couches to sit and relax Huge bar with multiple bartenders making thee best drinks!! Walking up the ramp are pool tables / air hockey / and arcade basketball games. Back to the drinks...very strong and poured just right. We will definitely return!! Thanks George's Garage for a good

OPENING NIGHT!!! George's Garage was packed and as they should! Settled right by downtown Greensboro this new barcade had plenty of places to sit and mingle, and arcade games scattered throughout as well! The bar was nice and stocked and the place was booming! I got my drink quick the bartenders were very attentive and it's a layered building, the entrance area is an area where you can sit relax grab a drink, and the second area is the arcade area! They had skeeball, pool tables, foosball tables, claw machines and more! Don't expect a game selection like Boxcar but they seem like they have addidonal space for more games/activities! Overall great spot in a nice location! Add this to the bar crawl , Cheers!

This new bar and arcade opened on January 25, 2025. I didn't have any plans on this Saturday night, so I decided to go check it out, solo. I arrived around 10:30pm. The first thing I noticed was that parking was limited. Inside, it was extremely busy! One side is a long bar with 5-6 bartenders. The other side is where the games are located. I saw people of all ages. I stood in line for a few minutes but I was able to grab a seat at the bar once I saw an opening. I browsed the menu and looked around. They had 5 TVs in that area. Even with sitting at the bar, it took forever to get services. I don't think there were enough bartenders for the crowd. I think there should've been more, especially with it being opening night. Or maybe had bartenders assigned to designated sections of the bar to prevent people from being skipped or just not attended to at all. It seemed like they were focusing on the ends of the bar. To be honest, after 10 minutes of the bartenders serving everyone else but me, I almost left because even the person who came and sat beside me got served before me. If I wasn't by myself, I think I would've been more patient but when you're alone, I have nothing to do but wait. After 20 minutes of waiting, I finally placed an order for a regular margarita. I asked if they could add a flavor and was told no abut could do a spicy margarita. I just got the regular one. After I got it, I closed out. It wasn't even worth keeping a tab open. If it took me 20 minutes to get one drink while sitting at the middle the bar, who knows how long it would've taken to get another one. The margarita was lackluster. I've never had a margarita with club soda in it... I thought that was very odd. The drink tasted weak to me. It was $12. After that, I was annoyed and ready to go. I chugged the margarita down and left the bar area before going to the arcade side. There was a DJ there. I saw a Photo Booth, air hockey, punching machine, and etc. the typically arcade games. Card readers on the game machines. It seemed like most of the games were $1. I ended up losing in a game to a stranger and had to go back to the bar. This time, I stood at the end, hoping that would be quicker and it was. I just needed to get a beer, which I got and closed my tab. Afterwards, I left. The bar situation really dampened my mood. I could understand if I was standing behind people and I just had to wait my turn... but to be sitting right there in the middle of the bar, watching bartenders tend to everyone but me... my annoyance grew with every passing minute. I even made direct contact with 2 of the bartenders and they didn't say a word or acknowledge me. Compared to the other bar/arcade place in Greensboro, it is smaller and less room. It was crowded and limited games. It almost gave club vibes with how many people were standing around as it was packed and the loud music. With the games, i like the idea of being able to get a reloadable card and put money on it vs having to bring cash or make a $1 charge on my card for every game I wanted to play. As a positive, I will say I liked the decor and the music was enjoyable. Other people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I wonder what the experience would be like once the hype has died down or on a day where it's not so crowded. I would consider returning but this experience didn't impress me at all and left me disappointed, actually. I was here for only 40 minutes.

I was excited to try George's as the owner has a great reputation in the bar business for unique design concept and great drink selection. George's doesn't fall short , the inside has a fun casual vibe and well thought out with different types of seating options . You can choose from an all American PBR to a nice craft cocktail, so something for all tastes. The arcade section is fun and the outside seating is inviting . There was a food truck for added appeal. The service was ok with two bartenders. Glad to have this option join the downtown neighborhood .

So we went back inside to sit at the bar. I wish there was different barstools. Those were just too shallow and not very comfortable or supportive. Thank goodness they weren't too busy when we were there because there was only one seserver. He was super nice and attentive as he could be seeing as how he was running in and out to serve the interior and exterior guests and also making the drinks! Some drinks are specialty so they take time to actually make. I hope they covert their pass-through window into a door into improve efficiency. I ordered the mojit flight and my two friends orordered the Tequila, and Marguerita flights. General consensus was that the drinks were good , but a bit too sweet. I wish mine was served with mint leaves like the menu pictures, but I didn't ask for them or why they weren't included. Overall, I'd go back with my girlies and try something different.

The inside is cozy and on the smaller side but so cute. We started with the buratta appetizer which came with focaccia and pesto which was all amazing. The pesto had a great garlic flavor and the bread was lightly toasted. For an entree, I had the Moroccan couscous with crispy chickpeas and even though the picture might look a little weird, I can assure you it was delicious. The chickpeas were really crispy as promised and the flavor was delicious. It was well seasoned and the sauces were so good. The green one was a mint parsley I think and the orange was my favorite - red pepper tahini. My only complaint would be that I want more of the sauce because it was so good. I really enjoyed & I appreciated that they had this vegan option. They have tons of wine & the cocktail menu is also great. The waiter was super friendly and quick. I ordered a cocktail with vodka instead of tequila which wasn't a problem at all. I tried a few of the cocktails and they were all really good and perfectly described on the menu. Lewis and Elm delivers a 5 star experience on so many levels. Many people I've spoken with think it's just a wine bar. Oh no, it goes well beyond your typical wine bar. First off, they have a full bar with a huge specialty cocktail list, craft beers, non alcoholic options and even THC drinks. We had amazing wine off of their impressive list, plus a few cocktails that were mixed extremely well. The food: amazing to say the least. Charcuteries, meats, cheeses, apps, finger foods, and a few uniques you have to get (one in particular). We enjoyed a beautifully plated charcuterie (see pic), the caprese bruschetta, a goat cheese pesto bruschetta, and that one in particular: the medjool dates. Everything was delicious, but these dates were on another level. The dates were surrounded by a bed of creamy Brie cheese melted perfectly, topped with crispy prosciutto and sprinkled with a balsamic reduction. All of this is easily mopped up with the fresh focaccia the dish comes with. This dish rocked! It was perfect on its own, but paired amazingly well with both the chilled white wine and the cocktails we were enjoying. The vibe is amazing as well. Upscale but super comfy interior. Come casual or dressed to impress, it all works here. Live music on the weekends add to the atmosphere and the whole experience. Come for the whole evening, or pre-dinner/pre-show drinks and bites, or even for a night cap after a dinner or show. Come for a quick pit stop, or stay for the live music. It's an all around excellent experience with great drinks, food, service and vibe.

The menu reflects this with cocktails, wine and beer and the menu is extensive on the beverages! The food menu is terrific and has so much variety and some really nice plates small and large. It was a theater night when we went and we had a 7.30 show to goto and our server knew that. We got there at 5.30 so figured that gave us the 10 mins to walk to the theater to be on time. We started off with some drinks. My friend loved her cherry ale and I really enjoyed my G&T , the glass it came in was just so unusual. The G&T took awhile to finally make it to me but i loved it. We ordered the tuna tartare and that was delicious and served up with fried green tomatoes which was a different take on it. Nice and fresh and nicely presented. Our entrees were the salmon for my friend and I had the Bahn mi chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Usually this sandwich is with pork so I wanted to try this. The service for our dinner took almost 45 mins we had finished the app awhile back and my grind had another drink and still we were waiting. It was closing in on 6.50 Pm and at this point we would be inhaling our food when it came and rushing out the door . It came at 7pm and the sandwich was good but they should mention on the menu that it has mayonnaise on it as I don't like that but there was quite a bit on the bun. Not typically in this type of sandwich so I wasn't expecting it. The chicken was a good and flavorful and lots of other veggie fillings and the fries were great. My friend really enjoyed her salmon and the risotto it came with. Just disappointed we had to eat it all so quickly and leave some so we could pay and leave. We had our eye on the lemon posset tart for dessert but we didn't have time . We just thought since the server knew we had theater tickets she would have been more on top of it. Yes they were busy as it was a show night but the place wasn't totally full. Seemed like no urgency when we asked how long the food would be as we had to leave soon. I'd maybe try this place again on a non show night, as I thought they had a great menu. I enjoyed the place just not the service as we barely made the show before the lights went down.

I inquired about the wine tasting for $5.00 and was told you would receive 2 tastings of white wine. Perhaps they do reds on a different night but I didn't ask. There is a written wine list of reds and whites to order full glasses of whites or reds which should suffice. I asked folks what they were drinking and there were many red wine-o's ha ha. The Bordeaux drinkers were happy with their choice and the Malbec drinkers were satisfied with their choice and commented the wine was soft. I chose a cold Chenin Blanc mostly cuz I haven't seen it on a menu in the Triad for quite some time. It was quite good great nose of sweetness but dry enough to be a good all round table wine. Its similar to Pinot Gregio but not dry or tart. I think when I'm back in GSO I will stop in to this unique wine bar again as it was a nice experience and everyone seemed very chill and friendly.

Myself and 2 colleagues were on our way to an evening event at a hotel in downtown Greensboro. I was not familiar with the location of the hotel and took a wrong turn down a dead end street so I pulled into the Zeto parking lot to turn around , confirm the hotel address and reset my GPS. It was closing time for Zeto so the owner was locking up the door at the same time. She sees me pull in and starts gesturing wildly to get out of her parking lot, then (before I can even put my car into drive) she jumps in her car and drives straight at my car while flashing her lights and boxing me in. I had to back up and drive around her car (which I immediately did) while she continued to wave her hands and point at the exit. Completely rude and uncalled for as we'd literally been in the parking lot for less than 2 minutes as I reset the GPS address and had no intention of parking there. I do understand that her parking lot is surrounded by apartments and she may have had a problem with people parking there in the past but this was very bizarre behavior for a business owner that should care about the community and act professionally. The unfortunate part is all 3 of us in the car were regular, frequent customers and enjoyed her store. After her over-the-top rudeness, we all agreed we'd never step foot in Zeto again. She lost 3 customers due to her behavior! We won't support businesses that treat others so poorly. I hope she will, in the future, take a breath and assess the situation before acting so inappropriately toward people.
