    Matcha Flight

I heard Little Foot Matcha was coming to Abbey so decided to stop by on a Saturday afternoon. This place was live! In addition to the Little Foot popup, there were a bunch of dog vendors out front, which was a great start to our Abbey Taphouse experience. The location/venue is definitely the highlight. It's downtown with a bunch of seating inside and in the back. For our drinks we got a Matcha flight with 2 matcha drinks and 2 hojicha drinks. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Unfortunately they were out of some of the drinks by the time we got there so I'll definitely have to come back to try some other things on the menu. I've been to Abbey for beer before and everything I've tried has always been pretty good.

The Abbey Taphouse is easily one of the best spots in downtown Greensboro. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and perfect whether you're meeting friends or just looking for a place to unwind. They have a fantastic selection of craft drinks with rotating taps featuring beer, cider, wine, and even non-alcoholic options, so there's something for everyone. If you're in Greensboro and want a laid-back place with great drinks and an awesome atmosphere, The Abbey Taphouse is definitely worth checking out. I'll absolutely be back! Beers always up to par as well.

I went for a ladies gathering for the holidays and was blessed with a trivia night. The drinks were amazing, they would allow anyone to try any of the drinks before purchasing a full glass. I had the spicy watermelon and jalapeño beer. I was pleasantly surprised and will be going back for more. It was a great vibe! I would get there early to get a seat as we learned quickly that they fill very fast. They also had a great food truck outside!

An uncommon find! Went here for an event and had a great time. I purchased a blueberry cider and enjoyed the time with my girlfriend. no food but great location. Old reclaimed architecture and modern style bar. The minimalistic design without tap handles gave it a more sophisticated feel while the abstract stained glass windows and church lights completed the feel of an abbey concept. Bartenders were attentive friendly and helpful. They obviously know their craft. We will be back.

Friendly service and an amazing selection of beers on tap. Plus a great selection of to go cans as well. Definitely will be back.

My wife and I were trying to kill some time in the area and found this place on Yelp (where else?!). All of the tables and chairs were occupied by a younger crowd of men who were watching soccer on the big screens. We sat at the bar and each had a beer. The waitress was friendly and helped my wife pick out the right beer with some strategic samples. She was the only one there but was definitely holding the place down. It's not a big place, but it's clean and no-frills. We will definitely go back when in the area and recommend you do, too.

Joe was very polite. I always appreciate nice customer service. I actually came here for a food truck however they canceled. At least I found out about a nice chill spot to have a nice cocktail. They have a variety of adult beverages and mocktails. Cozy couches and tvs to watch different programs. It's not too loud and you may enjoy your beverage on the patio if you choose.

Love this new-ish spot in GSO! Kind of off the beaten path, but still convenient in Downtown Greensboro. With its own parking lot, the Abbey Taphouse offers eclectic and homey vibes, and a lot of beverage options. The decor is on point and I love how big the bar is. There's a ton of seating, even some on the front porch. We stopped in on Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty dead at the time, but started to get busier. I really loved the two beers I had (Slushie & Grapefruit wheat), and my friends enjoyed theirs, too. Another positive I must mention: the bathroom situation! I love that there are 4 large separate bathrooms and the waiting area is cozy! Great for busy nights! Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area. I will definitely be back!

I really like the new taproom downtown GSO that we discovered - right outside of "main" downtown, but close enough to get to anywhere you want. Nice, big building sign design that I like. Minimalistic esthetic , serving several types and brands of beer (including non-alcoholic options). The beer switches out periodically, but there's many options that would fit your preference. My last visit, I had two very juicy IPA's and were enjoyable. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. I appreciate the occasional live music and food trucks available. A good destination for sporting events, ie their World Cup watch and celebration.

You feel the vibe as soon as you walk through the door. You can relax inside or outside on their patio. The owners are very friendly along with the staff, we had the pleasure of having Hannah as our bartender and she was very knowledgeable about the varieties of drinks that they had available. We will definitely be visiting again.

What a cool place to have drinks friends or for a date, they have a really good selection of beers and their staff was very friendly. Definitely will be back soon!

A well put together spot that's fresh to the scene. The minimalist atmosphere reminds me of Radar Brewing in WS. No food here, just local and regional brews. Good service. Overall a solid place, will visit again.

We were early to a Yelp Elite event when we decided to stop by here first. We arrived in Greensboro 45 minutes earlier than we anticipated and the restaurant we were going to was still closed. This place was conveniently close to our destination. There was good amount of parking spaces. It was a Sunday when we went and the place was packed inside with patrons watching a soccer game. We decided to sit at the bar with a good view of menu of tap available. There was also seating at the front and back of the place. It's great for groups! The bartender did excellent keeping up with orders and at the same time keeping the place clean. I like sour beer so I ordered Evil Twin. This is hands down, one of the best I've ever had! I could've easily drink several glasses! Planning on getting few friends together and go back!

The third and fourth levels both offer outdoor space, with the third floor having its own bar and the fourth providing additional seating and city views. It's a great mix of spaces for pretty much anyone. The music really stole the show this evening. I arrived early and snapped a few photos before the crowd rolled in. Dear Sister rocked tonight. What an excellent cover band! I'll be seeing them often whenever they roll into town. The only thing holding this from being a 5 star night was the service. It was decent but noticeably slow even before the crowd showed up. Once things got busy, it became very hard to grab a drink or get anyone's attention, which is typical for a packed place but still worth noting. Overall, this is a super fun spot with great music and tons of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. I'll definitely be back for more live shows or to hang out with family and friends on a nice day up on the rooftop areas.

The menu reflects this with cocktails, wine and beer and the menu is extensive on the beverages! The food menu is terrific and has so much variety and some really nice plates small and large. It was a theater night when we went and we had a 7.30 show to goto and our server knew that. We got there at 5.30 so figured that gave us the 10 mins to walk to the theater to be on time. We started off with some drinks. My friend loved her cherry ale and I really enjoyed my G&T , the glass it came in was just so unusual. The G&T took awhile to finally make it to me but i loved it. We ordered the tuna tartare and that was delicious and served up with fried green tomatoes which was a different take on it. Nice and fresh and nicely presented. Our entrees were the salmon for my friend and I had the Bahn mi chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Usually this sandwich is with pork so I wanted to try this. The service for our dinner took almost 45 mins we had finished the app awhile back and my grind had another drink and still we were waiting. It was closing in on 6.50 Pm and at this point we would be inhaling our food when it came and rushing out the door . It came at 7pm and the sandwich was good but they should mention on the menu that it has mayonnaise on it as I don't like that but there was quite a bit on the bun. Not typically in this type of sandwich so I wasn't expecting it. The chicken was a good and flavorful and lots of other veggie fillings and the fries were great. My friend really enjoyed her salmon and the risotto it came with. Just disappointed we had to eat it all so quickly and leave some so we could pay and leave. We had our eye on the lemon posset tart for dessert but we didn't have time . We just thought since the server knew we had theater tickets she would have been more on top of it. Yes they were busy as it was a show night but the place wasn't totally full. Seemed like no urgency when we asked how long the food would be as we had to leave soon. I'd maybe try this place again on a non show night, as I thought they had a great menu. I enjoyed the place just not the service as we barely made the show before the lights went down.

I kicked things off with the "Alex Old Fashioned," which I enjoyed. Brittani, however, took one sip and looked at me like I had just ordered dessert in a glass--so, your mileage may vary depending on your sweet tooth and relationship dynamics. Instead of going full tapa chaos, we opted for the $60 three-course route. The tomato soup was a solid opener--comforting, no notes. The burrata was... fine. It felt like it was one good drizzle of something sweet away from being memorable, but it never quite got there. Then the mains showed up and completely changed the tone of the evening. The burger and the gnocchi? Unreal. Like "briefly stop talking to your friends mid-sentence" good. Easily the highlight. Dessert was an empanada that landed squarely in the "we're already full but let's be polite" category. It did its job, but the stars had already been earned earlier. Shoutout to our server, Amanda--absolute legend. Cool, knowledgeable, and casually working on a full tattoo bodysuit, which somehow made me feel like I showed up to dinner wildly underachieving. She was fantastic. Bonus points: parking downtown was easy, and it wasn't packed, which felt like winning twice. All in all, Pangaea is a great spot--just a few tweaks away from 5 stars, but definitely worth the visit (and the gnocchi alone is reason enough to go back).
