    Turkey Burger with cheese
    Kimberly A.

Wanted to try a new lunch place so we went inside to do a to go order. The wait was very long as the customer who were dinning in and came in after us all got served their orders before us. So i suggested ordering ahead for to go orders we waited 20ish minutes before getting our order. However the food is actually very delicious. I got the turkey burger and it was really good I felt full and not heavy after my meal. The buns were extremely soft. The onion rings YUMMMY! Crispy and no fall out of the batter. Fries were all good and standard. The only thing we went the burgers needed is a special sauce just to take it to that next level.

Heard a ton of good things about this place so I was excited to give it a try! It has a cozy retro vibe inside. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The poutine fries were a bit too salty for me. The burger was juicy and cooked just as ordered! It was a nice experience and nice to have a family owned burger joint right downtown!

My first time here and everything was soooo yum! The burger was cooked perfectly like how I ordered (medium) and it was amazingly juicy and tender. Everything is so fresh, delicious, and clean. The owner was extremely nice and offered us water and wipes when our hands were dirty. Really humble yet amazing establishment!

Tbh, I really wanted to love this place. Between the retro sign and the awesome, old-school interior, I thought it'd be a home run. The highlighter-orange booth running the length of the restaurant? Incredible. Handwritten menus and friendly regulars chatting with the staff? Total hidden gem energy. But the food... was just okay. My bacon cheeseburger was juicy and fresh, but the bun was meh and the bacon tasted good but felt kind of lifeless. Fries were a letdown too--barely crispy, under-salted, and definitely frozen. I'll probably give it another shot--maybe a specialty burger will win me over. But two single burgers, one side of fries, and a drink came to $40. Not outrageous for Walnut Creek, but not cheap for "just fine.

Was in the mood for an old school cheeseburger and remembered this place from when I worked in the area, and when i was Prego with The Kid 15 years ago. The food and service were worth the drive. The owner and cooks were super nice! The owner introduced himself, highlighted the changes on the menu and also came to chat with us while we waited on our order. I had the bacon cheeseburger with curly fries. The Kid had the hot link and some of my fries. They were delicious! Will definitely be back. The ambiance reminds me of an old diner almost. Very clean and spacious.

We were in the area looking to pick up a few things and stumbled upon this burger joint. We didn't have any expectations going in, but we were pleasantly surprised--the food turned out to be delicious. I ordered a basic hamburger. I had read beforehand that they grind their own patties in-house, so I actually had pretty high hopes. When we placed our order, they asked how we wanted the burger cooked. I chose medium-rare, and it came out exactly as requested. The burger was topped with mayo, lettuce, red onion, tomato, and mustard. As I mentioned, it was delicious--the patty was the star of the show. Perfectly cooked and juicy. Next time, I think I'll ask for my burger cooked to medium--just to see how it compares. We also tried their poutine, and I'll admit--at first glance, I wasn't too excited about it. Personally, I prefer my fries to be thicker cut, and these were on the skinny side. But it ended up being surprisingly great. What really stole the show was the gravy. It reminded me of a cross between classic American gravy and Japanese tonkatsu sauce--if that makes sense. It had some sweetness and a little tang to it. That's the best way I can describe it. Whatever it was, it was absolutely delicious. Now I'm really curious to try their loco moco next time. We also had a chance to chat with the owner (super nice, by the way) and learned that the place has been around since the 1970s--which is wild. I'd definitely love to come back and try more from the menu. I noticed they also offer rice plates featuring classic Korean proteins like beef bulgogi, etc., which I'm really interested in trying next time. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nostalgic, old-school American burger joint vibe, which I really liked. Plus, parking was super easy.

George's Giant Hamburger is an old-school burger joint with a very friendly and welcoming customer service. The restaurant is spacious and seems to have a frequent traffic, though not very overwhelming at all. The menu offers classic hamburger options along with a few Korean and Korean-inspired dishes. I ordered the classic bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. Both dishes were very decent, though I wouldn't say anything stood out in particular. If you're looking for a very casual, fast and a warmth environment, I'd recommend this place!

Outside -- the parking lot is pretty tight but we found a spot!

If you're looking for that old school burger joint with feel good hospitality, then George's Giant Hamburger is it. We were greeted and treated with the best customer service we could ever hope for. The menu options were endless and I even got an order of curly fries I was craving! We got 2 burgers, 2 fries, & 2 drinks for a whopping $50. You can't beat homemade style burgers but prepare to pay the price. Plenty of space to sit or take your order to go. The soda dispenser looks a bit questionable and the curly fries were a bit greasy and over fried for my taste. Overall, we loved the experience and the burger was bomb. Nice place and people -- what's not to love!

Discovered George's Giant Hamburger today and love everything about it! OG mom n' pop shop. They've been in business (same location, menu, decor, errthang) for 40 years and still going strong. Burgers are juicy and fresh, poutine is saucy and satisfying, fries are seasoned perfectly, and the soft serve is smooth and creamy (which comes in chocolate or vanilla, but they swirled it for us...and I forgot to get a photo because I dug right in). Owners are also so friendly and welcoming. It's just a good ol' classic, fresh tasting, backyard gathering burger--can't go wrong. Bathroom can be accessed by going through the back. Parking can be challenging, but there are extra spaces in the back.

We have always wanted to try this place & after an unfortunate ER visit, today was the day! Owner is super friendly & I absolutely love that they all greeted all the regulars by name. We both had the bacon cheeseburger & it was cooked perfectly & so delicious. I only planned to eat 1/2 & almost ate it all. Grilled jalapeños were yummy as well as the fries. My bf also loved the soft serve.

Ummmm hello! I know I am SUPER LATE to the party but wowza!! George's Giant Hamburger in WC... amazing! It's a Throwback- 70s decor with a classic old school menu and a few twists. Decided to try the cheesbuger with grilled onions and curly fries. Soooo freaking good! Fresh ground meat so juicy we needed the wet wipes the restaurant offers! Served on a soft potato bun with the classic fixings. Perfect seasoned curly fries! It's a classic for a reason!

AMAZING service, AMAZING food and cozy atmosphere. We were in town and looking for some good food. Came across their listing and decided to give it a try. So happy we did. There are so many delicious looking options, John helped us and was great at explaining everything. 1st bite into the burger and we knew we made the right choice. The meat was flavorful, cooked how I liked it and was DELICIOUS. If you are in the mood for an awesome burger, definitely come here here.

Dry, tasteless for a premium price. A demographic that knows nothing about making Hamburgers. Really disappointed, felt taken.
