Loved this burger spot in Martinez! Came on a Thursday afternoon so we were able to be sat immediately. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Sat outdoors and still received excellent service. The burger was tasty and filling. We went during happy hour so items were discounted. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area!

Decided to give them a second chance, because why not. The restaurant is clean, and kinda fun with lots of wall art, it's very small with only a few tables. They do have a nice outdoor seating area with umbrellas over the tables for shade. The staff was nice and were decently prompt to assist me when I arrived. They did bring the food to the table and a full jug of water. The burger was okay, I had the Burgertinez, the pesto and mayo was a good touch, with the sprouts. The cheese was sort of melted and the burger was cooked well inside but had some burnt edges on the outside. The fries were solid. The pickle was really good. Happy hour looks like a good deal, wish they would have mentioned it before i ordered my food.

What a fun way to get your water.

Serving on a jury is a right and responsibility of being an American yadda, yadda, yadda. As true as that may be, serving on a jury caused me to search for lunch in downtown Martinez and this made jury duty completely worth it!! Yowza Burgers is a great place to enjoy lunch. Great music, friendly staff, and a terrific menu. I had the Burgertinez with fresh guacamole, melted jack cheese, sprouts, and pesto on the side. That pesto came in handy for dipping my Flat Fries. Where have these been all my life?! I guess they're just thinly cut steak fries but they are incredible. As a side, they come with the burger. And this was cute. They presented a glass and a chilled glass milk bottle filled with water when you sit down. I couldn't have been more charmed by the whole experience. Don't wait for jury duty. Make your way downtown for this restaurant. There is plenty of cheap parking so you've got no excuse.

From the nostalgic Beach Boys anthology playing at the perfect volume to the complimentary yucca fries tasting we received, Yowza is definitely an understatement to describe our eating experience tonight! We were greeted warmly and with a smile, the waitress was so sweet! We loved the decor and my honey, being a painter, especially appreciated the expertise in the interior painting. Way cool art hanging around, good beer on tap, and a happy hour we will try to catch soon! When people say you must try the flat fries, they are NOT lying; DO IT. We split the buzz burger and yowza burger- both effing fire and cooked to perfection! We used about 4-6 napkins, it was just so delicious! We asked about the yucca fries because there weren't any pics anywhere and the sweet folks gave us one each to try. I nearly forgot to take a pic of it. They were good too of course! More of a steak fries vibe with a hella thick crispy exterior and a fluffy textured inside! Just go here. I'll be back for a salad and empanadas!!!

I wanted to try this place because I loved you could get an Impossible patty or a veggie burger on any of their burgers. It was a really nice day outside, so we got to sit out on their outdoor patio. The service was really fast too, which we loved! I ordered the PORTOBELLICIOUS: roasted bell peppers, cucumber, Feta Cheese, pesto sauce, wheat bun. Super tasty, felt like I was eating ever-so-slightly healthy. He ordered the BUZZED: Lagunitas IPA blue cheese sauce, bacon bites blue cheese crumbles, crispy onions, but substituted the meat for an Impossible patty & asked for no bacon. SO delicious!! We also got a large order of fries & loved their crunch! We will definitely be back soon.

Walt from Walt's Adventures performing the last review of 2025. I am here at Yowza Burgers in Martinez, California. This small restaurant has both street parking and a lot nearby to support its customers. In addition, a covered outdoor dining area stands ready to be used. The restaurant itself has but 6 tables so be warned that space can be limited. We were directed to our table when we arrived and had our choice of the eatery. The customer service was superb as was the presentations of our meals. The taste was satisfying. For my tastes, the curly fries were cooked a bit too long but was good for the other members of my party. There is a new burger restaurant in town and I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Martinez, California. It's named is Yowza Burgers.

Great addition to downtown Martinez! My husband and I grabbed lunch at Yowza Burgers out on their little patio out front. I ordered the Burgertinez which comes with Guacamole, melted jack cheese, sprouts, and pesto on the side. My husband had the Jalapeño which comes with Sautéed jalapeños, chipotle-mayo, melted Cheddar cheese, sautéed onions. We liked that you can add lettuce, tomatoes, or onions to any burger. They cooked the burger perfectly and the flavor combinations were unique and well paired. The side salad was light and refreshing. The thin fries were great and the house ranch was perfect.

Yeah ok not a bad burger joint. Hubby and I came in here because we didn't know what we wanted to eat then spotted this place. First off, the place is very clean. I was looking for dirt and dust but couldn't find any. Secondly, the service was spectacular. There were two employees out front and both were very friendly and quick with the service. We tried the regular fries and the Cajun spiced fries. Both were delicious, although I'm not really sure what made the Cajun fries Cajun because they did taste like any other seasoned curly fries, but let me emphasize that I still really like the fries, cooked to perfection. We both had the regular burger with the Impossible patties. Two dollars extra for the patties (sighhh). Burgers were ok tasting, although good nothing really memorable. Would I come here again, yes, but I won't drive downtown just to come here. So for two orders of fries, two regular Impossible burgers, one Pepsi zero we paid $50 without tip.

It's great to have a brand new choice in the Martinez Downtown area! I was super excited to try this place because of its organic meat. The place is pretty small, used to be the old Taco Daddy's... I was surprised they have sit down service. I thought it was going to be order at the counter deliver to you. We sat outside and enjoyed the day. The restaurant was clean and the remodel is nice. The server was great, got all us what we needed. It's new so you have to go with it. We ordered the flat fries? Interesting? Not my favorite.. I don't want chips, I want french fries... it's good to know for next time. My partner ordered one of the special burgers while I stuck to the more basic cheese burger. It was a good burger but nothing like a 1/4 burger! It was nice that they have beer and wine! Will give them another chance.. but it's not my first place to rush to for a burger.

OMG I have to agree with one of the reviews about the overwhelming feeling in a good way. From the minute you walk down the street to the minute you leave. From outside you can tell something good is cooking. Then you walk inside and service is fantastic. The restaurant is small but kept clean and has a great aura. Then we talk about the food and wow I've had their breakfast burger and their BLT sandwich. Also the empanada and all were GREAT. Cooked perfectly and good quality. Bonus points because on one of the days they had run out of meat empanadas and when I got there they said if I wanted a spinach one. I hesitated because I had to be at work in 10 mins. Guy said 3 mins and it was exactly 3 mins. Really encourage you try it.

Amazing lunch spot! I came here because I was craving a blue cheese burger and their buzzed burger hit the spot! It's owned by the sister of the person who started Mona's Burgers I think and it's got the same vibe, cozy space and tasty food I also had their flat fries which were super tasty. Our server was very nice but they seemed busy, we had multiple different servers attend to us.

There's a new burger place in Martinez, yippee it feels like they're working out the kinks, so once they get use to their digs I'm sure it'll run smoothly. We had a beef empanada, followed by a classic burger, jalapeño burger & an order of sweet potatoes fries; all were on point & delicious. The service was good - again I think they're finding their footing; like who gets what tables, who's running out food & who's taking orders. It's gonna take a minute. Ambiance is casual, fair amount of outdoor seating, just a few tables inside. It's a tiny place. Hope they stay.

Music playlist is bomb!!! The service is impeccable!!! Today, I was strolling around for something to eat that looked clean and healthy while I wait to go back to jury duty, and I found Yowza burgers. I was pleasantly surprised to find a decent wine list and I ordered the strawberry spinach salad and added a medium rare salmon fillet on top. Lunch was super tasty. I guess I didn't read that there was bacon in there, but the bacon was super crunchy and added a nice flavor on the side. I was able to eat out on the patio and the weather was nice today. A calm 78° in Martinez. I can tell you that this was the best restaurant experience that I have ever had in Martinez. I was gonna use the restroom but someone in there was taking too long so I don't know what it looks like.

For his birthday this year, our friend Sarah and I decided to treat him to dinner here on 07/03/2024. Sarah and I arrived simultaneously at 5:30pm. Since the temperature was 105F, we had zero interest in sitting outside. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the staff, and they seated us at a table near the entrance. The interior was cozy, and the vibe was a mix of coffee shop, old school tavern, and neighborhood bistro. Not sure if that's what they were going for, but it definitely worked. Once David arrived, our server came by to take our drink and appetizer order. For appetizer, we shared an order of Four Cheese Garlic Bread. If you like bread and cheese, make sure you get this. Half a dozen slices of perfectly toasted buttered ciabatta bread topped with several types of melted cheese. Very delicious. For entrée, I had the Chicken Parm Pasta, while Sarah and David had the Chopped Cobb and Pollo Provencal respectively. My dish was a good size piece of double battered chicken breast served on top of a bed of garlic pasta and spinach, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheeses. What I liked the most was when you take away the sauce, cheeses, and breading, I could really taste the chicken. I tried a piece of the Pollo Provencal and it was excellent as well. Service we received was exceptional. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Our server checked on us several times during the meal and she took care of our requests with great efficiency. Based on this experience, their high rating is well justified in my opinion. The food, service, and atmosphere are top-notch for a small neighborhood restaurant. I know Martinez is a bit far for some, but it's definitely worth a visit when and if you are in the area. 5 stars.
