Drunken Burger with Sweet Potato fries
    Amelia D.

We came here for a late lunch and discovered that happy hour is from 2-5pm! For $11 each we got the 1/4 lb Drunken Burger and sweet potato fries, then a glass of Merlot for $5. The burgers were tasty and cooked medium rare as requested. The wine was good quality for the price. Server was friendly and prompt with the bill when asked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also liked the paintings and banksy prints on the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a TV at the bar that might be good for sports games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Buffalo chicken wings were on point!

Mona's has been our favorite local burger. Last night My wife was craving fries, and the spicy curly fries came to the rescue, as always. I had the Diablo burger for the second time, and swapped fresh red onions for the default sautéed. They were thinly sliced-perfect. We also got an order of the buffalo chicken wings and they had the perfect texture and flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is cozy, with indoor and outdoor (dog friendly) seating, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were the last guests of the night but the owner was very hospitable as always, and we left promptly at closing. We'll be back!

We were here for an early Saturday lunch. I think we were the first people in the place. The restaurant is fairly casual, but very comfortable. Love the Banksy-style artwork on the walls. The staff was efficient. We had heard good things about bonus burgers so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed - the food was good! My Mediterranean Burger was very flavorful and not at all dry. The onion rings and fries were also good. My dining companions' burgers also looked very good. My only nit might be that my medium-rare burger was a bit too rare. My companions' medium burgers were a little over medium to them. But the flavor was all good!

I guess I was a day early for National Cheeseburger Day 9/18. But yesterday I came to Mona's during happy hour, which is 2pm to 5pm. On the happy hour menu is $4 beers, $2 sodas, chicken tenders and wings for $5, and of course, choice of burgers/fries for $11. We ended up ordering all of the above. Chicano Burger: this burger has cheddar cheese with guacamole. I added an extra 1/4 pound patty for $4. It was decent. An average burger taste-wise. Chicken tenders: these were excellent. Really tender and fried perfect. I would order this everytime I come to Mona's. Buffalo wings: these were standard, good tasting, freshly fried wings. Great deal for happy hour. The service was excellent and very friendly. The prices were excellent for happy hour. Can't beat $4 IPA and Lagunitas beer.

The whole family was around to celebrate my birthday recently on a hot 100°+ day. Come mid-afternoon the house seemed like it was getting warm, and oh oh the vents were blowing hot air - the A/C was on the fritz! A couple hours later it was getting pretty toasty inside - the motion to adjourn to an air conditioned restaurant was carried unanimously! We decided to try out Mona's. My wife and I had been to the Clayton Rd Mona's and enjoyed it, but it closed after a fire. We looked forward to trying out this other one. There were six of us so we were fortunate to find the restaurant wasn't full on a Saturday night (probably because of the heat). We were a little surprised at how much smaller this location was compared to the former Clayton Road location. We all ordered, and despite a small crowd in the restaurant it took quite a while for the food to come. Fortunately drinks and appetizers filled the time and the server was friendly. I had a cheeseburger that I thought was just OK. The bun was good, but the burger was awfully charred. They serve skinny fries, not my favorite in any case, and these were hard with not much soft inside. The chocolate shake was tasty, and interestingly they serve two sizes of shakes (how much do you want to throw calories to the wind tonight?). My wife was have of the same opinion for her burger. But the biggest let down was it was just godawful hot in the restaurant - and escaping the heat was our main reason for eating out! Their A/C air ducks are located near the ceiling and did not blow on our table at all, given the small size of the room. And the A/C system simply could not cope with the heat. Oh and they charge a 2.5% fee for using a credit card. Overall a disappointment.

    Reese's Peanut Butter Shake

Super convenient spot, being next to Trader Joe's and pretty quick too for a sit down place. The food was pretty good. The highlight was the Reese's milkshake. Super peanut buttery and very thick. The garlic fries were also really good and crispy. The burgers were decent. I didn't think there was a ton of seasoning on the meat and the sauce they give you didn't have a ton of flavor. But it was still pretty good and felt like a quality burger. We'll definitely be going back for the shakes and just the overall good experience.

First time here. I've been reading good reviews so was looking forward to it. The place is cute and the service was quick and friendly. The food was a bit of a disappointment. I had the Truffle Burger and my friend had the Cali Burger. Fries are a separate order, I ordered the spicy curly fries and my friend had regular. My burger was under cooked, I asked for medium and it was more rare. Overall the burger was okay, but nothing that would have me craving it. The fries were the big disappointment for me, there was no spice at all, they are just seasoned (similar to what I can get at Jack in the Box), felt like false advertising.

What started as a convenient local hangout has become one of our favorite places over the last three years. Hop Grenade has truly become a second home. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely care about their customers. We love seeing familiar faces and catching up with the regulars. It has such a great community feel that can be hard to find these days. The beer selection is hands down one of the best around, and the prices are hard to beat. I also love that they've expanded their offerings to include wine and wine-based cocktails, which means there's something for everyone. The food is great too! We always look forward to Wing Wednesday, and the flatbreads are one of our go-to orders. One of our favorite things about Hop Grenade is bringing friends and family here when they're visiting from out of town. We recently took some wedding guests to the Thursday night music and market event, and they absolutely loved it. One of them even joked that he was ready to move here after experiencing the atmosphere. That's the kind of place Hop Grenade is...it makes people feel welcome and part of the community right away. Because Hop Grenade has been such a big part of our lives, booking the Tap Bus for our wedding was a no-brainer. It felt special to incorporate something so personal to us into our big day. For those who don't know, Hop Grenade has an awesome vintage VW bus outfitted with taps. Not only did it make for a unique and fun focal point at our wedding, but it also served some of the best beer, cider, seltzer, and wine our guests could ask for. We received so many compliments throughout the night about both the Tap Bus and the drink selection. Justin and his team were fantastic to work with from start to finish and helped make our wedding even more memorable. Whether you're stopping by for a drink, grabbing some food, attending one of their community events, or looking for a unique beverage service for an event, Hop Grenade delivers every time. We're lucky to have them in our community and can't recommend them enough.

I know some people are disappointed that Rotator is now required to be 21+ with the addition of wine, something many customers had been been asking for over the years. The owners are parents themselves, so I imagine this wasn't a decision they made lightly. Families with younger kids still have several great brewery options nearby. Fantastic drink. My friend tasted mine and ordered the same. The selection is the draw here. Whiskey lines the entire back wall, the rarer bottles sit behind wire-mesh locked cabinets, and there is a deep bench of tequila, beer on tap, and wine to round things out. One look at the shelves tells you they have the base for any drink you want. We split the Margherita flatbread, pesto, fresh mozzarella, and blistered cherry tomatoes, and it hit the spot as a drinking snack. The menu goes deeper than expected for a bar, with sliders, naan tacos, and charcuterie if you show up hungry. Service was good considering the staff-to-crowd ratio. Sevan stayed attentive the whole time and clearly knows his stuff.
