Our party of 4 really enjoyed our experience at the rooftop. Our service person, Chris is AWESOME! He made us laugh and relax. Please protect Chris at all costs. The rooftop located in Walnut Creek has an outdoor lounge vibe in the middle of the city. I was greeted by the hostess and taken to a table by the outside patio. Started off with truffle fries and Brussels sprouts. Appetizers were good nothing spectacular that would stand out. Ordered the spicy rigatoni pasta with grilled chicken and tuna tartar. Both items were good but again it wasn't something that stood out. There were few things that occurred that kinda made our experience a bit different. 1. From my view I sat in front of a dining room area where I believe there was manager coaching an employee or corrective action or work review was occurring. The curtain was pulled halfway and my line of view I could see that there was definitely a situation that occurred between employees as I saw one female employee go behind the curtain to speak to a manager sitting at a table then a male employee went in afterwards to speak to a manager. Nonetheless it was kinda awkward witnessing this and I'm not sure if they don't have an actual office to do this behind actual closed doors. 2. Walnut Creek has a two hour dine limit. As I'm not from this area I was oblivious to how strict there are to this rule. You cannot dine past your 2 hour time and I realized this when our waiter kept walking by multiple times asking if we were still eating. He finally informed me about this and said he allowed an extra 15 minutes but he had to tab us out. Kind of off putting to be kicked out. 3. This isn't a big issue but weekend diners are automatically charged extra weekend gratuity. Just a heads up for those who wouldn't have seen it on their bill. read more

The restaurant is in a great location in Walnut Creek with a beautiful view. Despite visiting on a busy weekend afternoon, the staff was kind and very attentive. Unfortunately the food was pretty mediocre. 1. The crab cakes were as expected. Small but fresh. The arugula salad is a nice touch. 2. The short rib in the benedict was delicious. Unfortunately the side of potatoes were barely room temp and far from crispy. 3. The quiche was underwhelming; very small, lacking bacon, and served cold. If we didn't have plans scheduled afterwards, we would have ordered something else. 4. The fries were the hottest item that came out. The restaurant is cute but left much to be desired in terms of hot and flavorful food. If I am to return, I might just come for drinks instead. read more

My husband and I came here yesterday for a date night and really enjoyed our meal. First off, the drinks were good and really quite strong! I got their lavender cocktail (I forget the actual name) and would definitely get it again. The food was - wow - outstanding! Their salmon had a glorious crispy outside and the potatoes were also nice and crispy. The asparagus was nicely seasoned and the soy glaze on top was delightful. Every bite was *chefs kiss*. My husband also loved his rigatoni. The prices? They aren't cheap. This isn't an every week type of place; but I don't think they are completely out of the ballpark taking into account the quality and location. Drinks are $16-$18 and entrees are ~$25-45 range. The service was very good! Our waiter was very polite and attentive, and staff was very good at clearing our plates, filling water etc. The ambiance? I have mixed feelings on. I love the view, and the decor was nice. Buuut the music was a bit too loud. And it was club type music...Luckily we were in a spot that wasn't fully covered so the sound could escape a little more, but still, I wouldn't say it's fantastic for a romantic evening as it's hard to hear what others at your table are saying. I would say choose softer music, let people enjoy the view and not be overwhelmed by noise. I see a lot of reviews about this place being stingy when it comes to seating you if you don't buy food. Obviously, we didn't face this obstacle as we did intend to order dinner. However, the host did ask us if we were going to order food; and I wonder if we would have said 'no', then we would have been turned away? If so, that's a problem. This restaurant has more far more cocktails than entrees on its menu, so it should not come as a surprise if guests want to come in for a few drinks and nothing else. I can understand that owners don't want people hogging a table if they aren't ordering enough, but there's got to be a better way of doing that. The other common experience I see is people being denied alcohol often. I wonder if part of the reason of this is because A) You have to climb 3 flights of stairs to get there and it's a legal concern or B) Their drinks are very strong so they're trying to be extra careful. It was festive because it was decorated for the holidays so it's like I was getting a 2 for 1. A great place to celebrate a birthday. The space is definitely appropriate for a celebration. and the food was good. They had a Bone- In Ribeye, Chilean Seabass, and a host of other choices, I kept it simple and ordered a salad. After traveling extensively throughout the US and world I must say this rooftop bar and restaurant is extraordinary and a "do not miss" situation. I moved to Walnut Creek, CA start of this year (2026) and decided to give this spot a try. First, the rooftop experience, view corridors, vibe, energy, food has been beyond excellent. Five stars. More important, the bar staff is top notch. Absolutely top notch. Their attention to detail, customer interactions, positive energy and level of service is some of the best I have ever encountered. Specifically there is a trio of three individuals that make this place work, very well and they should be acknowledged. You should also meet them. Amanda, Jared and Deavon are the best of the best. They are engaging, prompt, thoughtful and clearly "master class" at their job and responsibilities. In fact, learned that many customers come to see them specifically for their exceptional service, pleasantries and quality of work and superb service. Definitely time for an update since our last visit was nearly 10 years ago (!). We went here for dinner with friends between Christmas and New Year's Eve. We had a reservation and when we realized we were running early, they happily bumped up our reservation because they had a table available. Service was great. We started with a round of cocktails and mocktails and items from the appetizer/shareables. Everything was delicious although the standouts for me were the shishitos, cauliflower, and tomato and burrata salad. I got the salmon for my main and it was fine, although I would gladly trade it in for more of the shareables. Another person also ordered a fish dish and found it overcooked. My honey and I are already talking about returning for oysters and more shishitos and cauliflower. read more

Starting off they're known for their ambiance ofc, it's a perfect epicenter of broadway plaza and a good way to unwind after a long day of shopping. At night it could get pretty chilly so I suggest bringing something cozy and warm in case. Food is cool. Not too special but I did enjoy the quick service. The server checked on us a lot, kept the drinks coming, bussers always cleared the table & filled up water. They hooked us up with a birthday cake since I was celebrating mine! We came here for Mother's Day and I just have to say, we will be coming back. There were no long wait times in between ordering the appetizers and the entrees, staff were very nice and welcoming. They are located on the Third Floor so please take this into consideration if you have someone with you who's unable to walk upstairs like I did, however they do have an elevator you can use. I came here for my birthday, the hostess Ana was hospitable and kind. I was flustered that I didn't have coins for the meter and needed change and my friend was running late, she was patient with me. Once I was seated the view was fabulous the blue sky and the fluffy white clouds were breathtaking. I ordered the Spicy Maracuya and it was refreshing and spicy. I received four street size tacos and they were scrumptious, flavorful, and juicy. I gave only three stars as there was hair in my water as I took a drink, yuk! This is unacceptable and was a huge turn off, and disappointed that this manner wasn't taken seriously when I mentioned to my waiter. The tuna tartare felt more like a tuna poke style, flavor was good but the cut of each tuna pieces was a bit too big for my liking. The drinks are great though! Overall, I'd be back but not somewhere I'd be back too often! It's not very rooftop-y compared to other places imo. I'm being picky here but over half of their seating area is under a canopy, and you only get the true rooftop experience if you're seated by the balcony. Looking at other photos on here it seems like the canopy comes down at times so maybe in the spring/summer it'll be better. The drinks and food were good. Service is slow though and it seems like the place only has like two servers for the whole area. The server recommended the shy guy to me and I liked it! Not too sweet and not too strong. The truffle fries (4/5) were great and you can easily split it among a group. The spicy rigatoni (3.5/5) was good too and cooked well but it's pretty basic imo. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want to do dinner since service is slow. But for drinks/appetizers, this is not a bad place to go to. read more

Went to this place last month celebrating my buddy's birthday. Nice area to chill at in Walnut Creek. We ordered quite a few appetizers and shared an entree. I loved the Mussels and Clams. The mussels were small, but tender and very flavorful. It came with fries, which were crispy and nicely salted. Loved the broth. The garlic and wine broth had a very wonderful savory flavor. The Chicken Karaage was very good. The chicken was very tender inside and crispy outside with its batter. Loved the flavor of soy sauce and mirin in the appetizer and the dipping sauce was delightful. It was nice with a tart and creamy flavor and texture. We shared the Sea Scallops. It was made with a slightly sweet and savory curry sauce. It also included some vegetables. The scallops were seared nicely. They were tender and very flavorful on its own. The curry was a combo of sweet, savory, and had a nice subtle spiciness. The vegetables were much needed for the color, texture, and to balance out the meal. The Pork Belly was served nigiri style. It had shallots, jalapeños, and avocado on a small square of rice. There was also a sweet sauce underneath. The appetizer reminded me of sushi. The pork belly was crispy and had a nice seasoning. The rice was cooked fine, but could have needed a little more rice vinegar to give more sushi vibes. The shallot, jalapeños, and avocado gave this appetizer a much more appealing look. The Tuna Tartare was okay. Nice color of the raw sushi cubes. The soy sauce, ginger, sambal, and cucumber combined well in terms of flavor. The spice was not overpowering at all. The rice crackers were crispy and a much needed pairing for the fish appetizer. The Lamb Meatballs were pretty good. The meatball was tender and had a very good flavor. The serving size was perfect. It came with 6 meatballs. The tzatziki sauce was nice. The creamy texture and tartness of the sauce balanced the savory meatball. Service was great. Very friendly and efficient. What makes this place really excel is the views and the drinks! It has such a beautiful ambiance that anywhere you sit it feels you are outdoor. Their drink menu is EXTENSIVE and so many options to choose from. The drinks are not too sweet and have the perfect blend of liquor in it. Loved it! Went here for date night and our server Chris gave us all the perfect recommendations. We started with drinks and I would say they were perfectly balanced. Not overly alcohol forward but you can tell it's there. For apps we got the truffle fries, tuna tartare and pork belly. The tuna tartare was refreshing and the fries and pork belly were seasoned, crispy and very enjoyable to eat. For mains I got the short ribs and my gf got the scallops. Presentation was on point and food is delicious. The short ribs were definitely tender and required very little chewing. For dessert we got the lava cake. So whether you are inside or out on the balcony, you still get to look up at the open sky. The place was packed. There is a 20% gratuity charge for late nighters. I wasn't drinking that night so I ordered a mocktail and thought a little bit on the high end price wise the drink itself was very good. It was some sort of a huckleberry mix. It was very tasty. Friends ordered a whiskey drink, an espresso martini and a cosmopolitan and they all said their drinks were really good. They all come out looking all fancy too. Which is a plus. Our Dinner crew enjoyed dinner at the Rooftop last night and we had a great meal, including great service from our server Amari and the food and drinks were awesome. As soon as I was seated I ordered the four roses old fashioned! It came right out and was unbelievable. Next was appetizers, Burrata, Brussels sprouts, calamari and fresh oysters. These were all great! My choice for dinner was the 20 ounce bone in ribeye steak medium well! I was able to finish it and it was amazing! My buddies had another Ribeye, sea bass, sea scallops and short ribs' Everyone enjoyed their meal! We even had the pleasure of being seated next to a group that included WNBA world champion Sabrina Ionescu! We bought a couple bottles of wine and they were happy to open them for a reasonable fee! There were 7 of us for dinner at 7pm and the check was divided by six coming out to $140.00 dollars each! $$$ I would recommend Rooftop and I plan to return soon and try some of the other items on the menu! read more

The ambiance was so nice, wine and food were great....we had the salmon, short ribs and butter cake for dessert. But the best part was our waiter Chris, aka Light skin Chris lol.
