They mostly make Vietnamese style sandwiches along with fresh spring rolls, chicken curry, and Vietnamese beef stew. I got the original banh mi ($7.49) which comes with pate, mayonnaise, cilantro, sliced cucumbers, pickled carrots and daikon radish. The bread is Vietnamese style than French bread style so it's a bit softer and chewier. I also got their fresh sugarcane juice with kumquat juice ($7). The staff is nice and the place is clean; a few seating table.

I remember Lee's had some popular items pre-made so I could just grab-and-go. Carrot & Daikon seems to make all sandwiches to order. I was pleasantly surprised to see more varieties offered at C&D. For example, C&D offers breakfast banh mi and fish banh mi In addition to traditional cold cut and vegetarian banh mi. My friend ordered the crispy pork belly and I ordered the fish cake banh mi. Both were freshly made and very tasty. Wait time was longer than I expected but acceptable. All sandwiches were packed for to-go although they do have a couple of tables for people want to dine-in. I discovered Carrot and Daikon has several locations that are closer to my house, something I didn't know till today. Something I didn't know until today

Carrot & Daikon Banh Mi - Pork eggroll. A big disappointment. Very peppery. Even the sauce is not good.

The first small disappointment was finding out they don't offer mushrooms. As a big mushroom fan, especially on a hot sandwich, that was a bit of a letdown -- but not a deal breaker. I ordered the D'Loaded Cheese Steak, which honestly would've been perfect with mushrooms. When I opened it up, it looked absolutely delicious. The flavor definitely delivered -- I won't deny that at all. It was very tasty. My main issue was the texture and structure of the sandwich. It came out extremely hot and very wet. The bottom of the bread was completely soaked, which made it difficult to pick up without it falling apart. I just wish the bread had held up better so I could've enjoyed it without the mess. Overall, the flavor was great, but I hope they can improve the sandwich structure a bit. I'd be willing to give it another try.

(Was lobster on these sandwiches) Pros - Food was good. Fresh ingredients Potato salad was very good. Place was clean. Employees were friendly. Cons - Too expensive for what we got. We could've went to a good full service sit down restaurant for much less (tip included). Will we be back? I'd like to say yes but not at these prices. Also the 40 min drive makes it not worth it. I understand good food is not cheap but I'll stick to closer/cheaper sandwiche shops near me (Green Shack/Saverinos)
