The team at George's Upholstery are complete craftsmen and craftswomen! We have an old, comfortable, recliner that was well loved and nearly junkyard material. Sent a couple of photo's to George's Upholstery and they quoted a price based on those pics. I met a few days later with Vesna at the shop to pick out new material and fully price it out. We didn't have a vehicle big enough to move it, so they came and picked up the chair. This was end of November, and with the holidays fast approaching, Vesna estimated they wouldn't have it complete until the New Year, which was no problem for us. But to our surprise, they finished it the 2nd week of December! They delivered it back to our home before the Holidays! The stuffing, shaping and stitching are all perfect and the recliner looks as beautiful as when it was brand new. Truly skilled work, quality all around, and worth every penny! I have to say that the custom upholstery work done by Mario at George's left me speechless. The 1920 wooden framed chair and ottoman has been a treasured piece in our family and the fabric was tired and worn. The fabric and the refurbished wood has made the chair look like a new stud! Totally transformed my dining chairs. I needed my dining chairs both refinished and re-upholstered and they came out great, very pleased. They had a local contact to do the refinishing work and checked in with me on color before finishing. Fabric was a little on the expensive side, but that was more my choice. The foam, upholstery and welt on the chairs is really well done and for me this was far preferable to buying new chairs. Even though it can be more expensive than buying new, you get to choose exactly the look you want. read more

They really do a FANTASTIC job, and a quick turn around too!! I recently had my couch cushions done, my couch was only 3-years old (not a cheap couch, a rather expensive one), and it's better than new. The owner showed me the original stuffing and I couldn't believe how bad it was - different shapes and pieces of foam; George's did a better job than the manufacturer. We have had George's Upholstery recover 4 large chairs and a patio swing that has an awning, plus make several throw pillows for us. They are experts. Not only do they do a beautiful job, they make sure to ask if I want extras like piping and thicker/better foam as options, which have been great for making things more beautiful and more comfortable. They are good people and honest, with so much experience. It is a small shop, so it may take longer than somewhere else to complete, but you can trust them to go out of their way for you. read more

I was referred by a friend who lives in LaCanada and has used them on furniture from large over stuffed sectional to multiple antique chairs. Their craftsmanship on these pieces were impressive. I live 50 miles away and decided to have them do a couple of small jobs for me. It was definitely worth transporting my dining room chairs and bar stools myself since I was outside their service range.
