Family run business with signature wings, salads, fried chicken platters and sandwiches. There's a few seats inside, but it's mostly take out. Service was very good. Appears that George's has done a great job in establishing themselves in the area. The restaurant throughout is very clean and neat. Many orders were flowing through every minute while I waited about 10 minutes for my bbq honey glazed wings. They also have a very nice catering page on the menu, for your big events. My wings were good. Lots of sauce (more than I would desire). They were on the smaller side and cooked well. Not the best wings I've had, but good enough to try another flavor or other items on the menu. I also ordered the Cajun French fries on the side. They were very hot and crispy, just how I like them. I would've liked more Cajun seasoning on mine. Give them a call for pick, or simply stop in to eat. I think you'll like this place. They're not fancy, they just make good food very well.

The charbroiled chicken is and will always be my favorite. If you're trying to be healthy, but still want to eat out with the family, this place is for everyone. I always get the char chicken with a side of the chicken and vegetable rice, which is flavorful and different from any other side dish for a platter at any take out restaurant I've been too. The quality of the food at George's blows every other restaurant in the neighborhood out of the water. They're also on grubhub now and have their own website, for those of us who want to order from the convenience of your computer/phone

Nothing special really. This place is around the corner from my apartment and I've wanted to try it for a while. I ordered 10 MEDIUM wings. I chose to pickup, so I sat inside and waited. It was a reasonable wait. About 10 minutes go by and they announce that 10 MILD wings are ready. I continue to wait. They give the order to another customer and then she turns to me and says I think this is your order because I should have more wings than this. She returns the wings to them. There was then some bickering behind the counter and then someone turns to me and says this IS your order. I stated 10 MEDIUM wings and they assured me oooo yes 10 MEDIUM wings. They were no where near MEDIUM. There was barely any sauce on them at all, it was all in the bottom of the container. I doubt I'll go back

Was told by someone to try hear, and glad I did. Really good food. They pile the meat on the cheese steak and not at all greasy. The wings are so crispy and good. Definitely worth the money and reasonable to.

I am so so so disappointed in our wings tonight. We used to order from here ALOT so we figured lets give them a call for some wings! I have had a long day at this point and starving so I would eat anything at this point, however our WINGS were literally UN edible! I work at a place that sells wings so i know a bad wing. My wings were clearly pre cooked then when ordered cooked again and fried hard. Literally the meat was barely left on them and the skin was so crunchy and hard I legit couldn't chew it. I felt like bringing them right back after they were delivered. I hate to write this review but I just don't want anyone else left without a meal because your wings were not edible.

Second time I found a hair on my food!

Great food and reasonable prices. They even offer items on the healthier side like broiled chicken.

    Is their shrimp good?

They have "shrimp in a basket" which is basically popcorn shrimp and then they also have butterfly shrimp, which comes with cocktail or tartar. Both are pretty good. Try the buffalo shrimp!

I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.

The wait staff informed me that there was NO ROOM for us in the EMPTY seating area, so we were seated next door in the bar area. If you can tell me why there was no room in an empty restaurant for a party who arrived ON TIME, please someone let me know. At any rate the bar area was fun and lively but a bit narrow to navigate. Since it was happy hour, we ordered all of the $6 Snacks and some $8 snack items. OOOK, here we go: Hot chicken slider( you only get 1 folks) very good and had the right amount of toppings 5/5 Pulled pork slider: Very flavorful, juicy, and tender: 5/5 Caesar salad: 5/5 Deviled eggs. Good, but too salty Fried pickles: Good, but too salty Chicken & Andouille Gumbo: This was excellent. The braised chicken thighs were seasoned well and very tender. The pickled red onions really elevated this dish. 5/5 The grilled salmon had a great char and crunch. It was not dry nor over cooked. 5/5 The burger was delicious just as a burger should be and the famous duck fat fries were very crunchy. 5/5 for both Happy hour is really the time to go, but make sure they honor your reservation. Til we eat again....

On a whim, I called Butcher Bar and told them I know it's last minute on a Saturday night, but could they accommodate 9 people. They told me if we were there in 30 minutes they could make it work, so we rushed over. We sat at the bar for drinks as they cleaned up a table. They overheard us talking about how The Trough would be nice (feeds 8 for $300, but was more than enough for us 9), and said if we wanted that they could get it started as the table was prepared. We said yes, and were sat a few minutes later with drinks in hand. Jenna (Gema? She had grape earrings) was a fantastic server and just so kind and attentive. She kept the drinks flowing and The Trough arrived sooner than I expected and was everything I wanted for dinner and more. I can't thank Butcher Bar enough for saving the night for my 40th and just providing a fantastic experience. We'll be back, and we promise to give more notice next time! :)

A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in directing me to the correct entrance. The space has a unique atmosphere. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails. While the burger wasn't a standout for me, I'd be willing to return and try other menu items.
