i am concerned about the number of cardiologist leaving GEORGIA Heart Institute including mine. I would be afraid to refer someone because they may not be there long enough to establish a good relationship. That is what happened to me. Dr. Mohammed (cumming) would not return my call about results of CT scan aft3r possible heart attack. He finally sent to my primary care physician to handle. Then, broke my arm two weeks later and needed a medical release form to have the surgery to fix and I could not get him to complete it and his staff kept giving me different stories. read more

If you ever want to be in a real Dog and Pony show this is the place. They have Nurse Practitioners disguising themselves as PA's with their white doctor coats. The Nurse Practitioners have an assistance which also has an assistant. You actually never see a real Cardiologist ( probably because they are never in the office, instead they are trolling other hospitals handing out business cards ) that's how I met mine. What gets even more ridiculous is when the Nurse Practitioner can't even fill out the visit summary correctly because she was too busy comparing her heart rate and weight to the patients. Now for the good part, when you call the Heart Center to speak with the NP that pretended to be a PA you have to go through three different RMA's to explain why you want to talk with her. Finally you receive a call from the NP only to be yelled at and insulted beyond belief, don't even try to get a word in, you will be verbally bashed back into place. Eventually you just hang up. It's useless to call the Office Manager, she never returns your calls. Then you get a phone call from a person that identifies himself as being over all the Heart Centers. He's really good at listening, but no so good at following through on promises ( at least not at the time I wrote this review ). Moral of this review, if you want to be under the care of an "real Cardiologist" then go somewhere else. These guys are really good at smoking mirrors and bait and switch games. Last February my 88-year-old father had his aortic valve replaced by Pradyumna E. Tummala. The procedure was a TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) which avoids open-heart access by inserting the valve through a major artery. The operation was a success and I am very happy with the results. Recently my Dad went back to the hospital because of some congestive heart failure issues and blood clots. Unable to get mybilling straightened out after 6 months of calling and going in person. Finally spoke to one person who says they have 2 accounts in my name and was applying my payments to the wrong one and then continued billing me and sent me to collections, received many calls on weekend and at dinner time from collection for money I already paid, now I'm waiting on refunds. Mitchell Davis is the worst doctor I have ever had the misfortune of seeing. He is nearly deaf and can not understand your conversations. He also never followed up with me on my results or advised me on my medication adjustments. The office receptionist gave me my results over the phone without asking me for any identification. I had to file complaints with the Department of Human Services and the Georgia Medical Board. They refused to respond. Avoid this doctor and clinic at all costs if you value your health and sanity. read more

RE: Dr Egolum Dr gave us sales pitch for LVAD morning following when my fiancé had a heart attack- until learning he had no insurance at which point he not only couldn't be bothered with us but actively did everything he could think to do to have my fiancé leave his care (I'm guessing so he wouldn't be saddled with his pro bono share for the year (even though he now has ins - after his disability & Ss kicked in [hes an otherwise healthy 39 yr old male terminally ill with heart failure whom Dr E only gave a six months to live prognosis to in September)). He even went so far as to pull his piccline a cpl wks ago & then refuse to allow my fiancé to have a temp IV put in its place - just long enough to allow them to figure out what was causing the dressing to literally eat away at his skin as well as a resolution for the problem = pulling him cold turkey off the Med that was literally keeping him alive. These are probably good doctors, but the office staff can't get much right. Still get appointment notices after cancelling twice, and the appointment was not made by me in the first place. The staff is so inept, not sure it's worth it to see the doctor :( The online tool is so out of date, it is worthless. read more

Drs. may be good, but administration is awful. First visit over 2 hour wait in waiting room, apparently they 'forgot' we were there, despite us checking to see if we were on the list. Fast forward last week. Got a call on Wednesday to say the appointment that was made 3 months prior after a hospital visit was canceled because the dr doesn't see patients on Wednesday. That after a call on Monday to confirm Wednesdays appointment. Now its the following Monday, called 4 times and still no reschedule. read more

From Bill T, Hoschton, Ga.: First off, I am not saying anything bad about the doctors themselves. I have "had" Dr. Wang for many years and now Dr Salem Sayer. I feel they know their job and perform it well. However, the staff at admissions or check and appointment setters are horrible. You notices I put "had" for Dr. Wang. Well, through the screw up by the apointment staff, I could not get in to see Dr. Wang when the appointment was made because they made my appointment for Cumming instead of Gainsville. I live in Hoschton. The best they could do was 3 months out. I told them "if Dr. Wang is ok with this, please have him call me and I went home. That was 5 months ago and no call and so I changed heart doctors. Now on to Dr. Sayer. I had an appointment with Dr. Sayer at the Braselton office as I was having some real seroius heart issues. After waiting a month to get in to see him I get a call the morning of the appointment at 7:30am telling me that my appointment was rescheduled for a month later as Dr. Sayer is not doing appointments at the Braselton office any longer. After some serious phone calls we did get in to the Gainsville office later that day. While there, we were scheduled for a follow up visit on March 28th 2018. Luckily I called that morning at 8:00am to confirm the appointment time only to find out "oh, the Dr. is real busy and your appointment has been moved out til April 20th". Here we go again, no notice and just change your appointment and add another 30 days after you have waited 3 months already. I asked the girl on the phone " does the Dr. know what kind of business he is in, it is not selling used car parts, it is heart care. We don't have a spare that we can use until the part comes in". She did not seem to care one way or the other. If you look you will see that the phone number 770-534-2020 is the same number for Dr. Sayer as it is for Dr. Wang, hmmm! Maybe that is the problem. I don't think the doctors know what is happening behind their backs and this sloppy work is a reflection on the doctor. After 15 years with Dr. Wang I had to change and I still have not heard from him, so much for a lost patient. When I do ever get in to see Dr. Sayer, I will bring this whole subject up just to see if he is aware of what is happening and most likely he is not aware. read more
