I've been wanting to try Georgia Potato Factory for a while because I LOVE baked potatoes, and their menu and pictures look so appetizing. I finally got a chance to stop by and order 2 potatoes to go one night, and sadly, I was actually pretty disappointed by it. It seems everything is premade and once you order, they just scoop it onto your potato then warm it up before handing it to you. No big deal as I imagine it would be a long wait time if they made some of the ingredients fresh, however, I found both potatoes to be quite dry. We had to use all the sour cream they gave us to help with the dryness and flavor, and I realized once I got home that no butter was included either. Despite the dryness, it was helped by the sour cream and the toppings were plentiful, BUT I found the cheese to be quite lacking. It may be because I'm a huge fan of cheese and I feel a proper potato needs to be covered in cheese, but once you start eating or even mixing the ingredients in, you'll find that there is definitely not enough cheese for the entire potato. I had to add more cheese to my potato once I got home. The pictures make the potatoes look very cheesy so I was disappointed when I saw my potatoes. I wish I would've opened my boxes while I was still there because I likely would've just requested more cheese even for an extra cost. Anyways, despite those flaws, I still did enjoy my potatoes. I've had better though. But the size here is probably the best I can find in Georgia and the toppings are generous. The price is VERY fair for the size. I'm actually shocked it's not more. That being said, I'd likely give it another shot if I'm in the area, but I'd just know to request some extra cheese or sour cream/butter next time. read more

The place is definitely not aesthetically pleasing but normally little places have great food. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. None of the food is freshly cooked. It's pretty much placed in an industrial microwave to "cook". I ordered the Chicken, Shrimp, and Broccoli potato and was HIGHLY disappointed. The shrimp I was fed was clearly fake, raw, cold, and full of dyes. The chicken was clearly frozen pulled chicken and is not the same as they portray it in the pictures displayed on their website. Moving on to the aesthetics. The ceiling tiles need to be dusted and/or replaced. The front counter was very sticky and made of wood. I ordered a cornbeef potato. they sent me a cornbeef harsh potato from a can. terrible! they're picture show real Cornbeef shave ontop. Well My Fiancée was excited a out trying it out and I wish she would have passed the place up she ordered a Philly Cheesesteak Potato and later on that night she got extremely sick as that was the only thing she had eaten and to make matters worse she got worse each day symptoms was abdominal pain, headaches and could eat nothing else so after 3 days of this we went to the Emergency room in Fayetteville Ga. Everytime I come here either doing door dash orders, or just picking up my personal order the cashier/cooks are rude. I asked for butter because my potatoes looked dry and the black guy who works late said it's a extra $1 for literally a spoonful of butter. A couple of days ago I ordered and got free butter. It use to be a grumpy white lady up there but maybe she works day shift. But anyway I get there picking up my order from online and he demands to see my phone and don't even know what he looking for. I think he confuses it for door dash delivery confirm your order. Anyway I just wish they had better attitudes EVERYTIME I come it's someone rude rather work or personal. I always opt for the bacon cheddar no chives and no sour cream. We've also tried the philly cheese steak, chili cheese, and broccoli and cheddar, but I feel like bacon cheddar is too good to dessert. Speaking of dessert, get the 7 Up cake! It's lemony and airy and so good. Also, their fries are banging. They take a while for them to prepare, but are so worth it. Good large potatoes. The only problem is the gross fake butter they put on them. It's honestly the worst imitation butter I've ever tasted. I'd omit that on your potato and add your own at home because the Country Crock Margarine sitting in your fridge would taste better than that stuff. They have a BBQ Chicken Potato, Pulled Pork Potato, Breakfast Potato, Veggie Potato, etc. I played it safe and just ordered a Chicken, Broccoli, and Cheese potato with onions and sour cream on the side. So my husband picked me up another Veggie potato since I had been craving it since my first visit but he went to the other location off Tara Blvd (closest to downtown) and the potato was very disappointing. I knew they charged extra for mushrooms but they also charge extra for sour cream, cheese and butter but forgot the butter. That's okay, of course I have butter at home. So I go get ready for this awesome experience and the potato is bland and I have a lot of the stem from the Broccoli (which I dislike) and not enough cheese. The potatoes are HUGE. I've been here a few times already and I always get the Broccoli chicken and cheese one and add bacon to it. The bacon add-on is a bit pricey $2 and the price for the potato is okay for how much food you get. I just wished they cooked the broccoli a bit more (like steam it) because it's usually hard and almost raw when you bite into it. These people are just brilliant!!! I accompanied someone here thinking "yea okay...its a potato..I'm going to need something more." Um WRONG! The entire to-go box is packed. I tried the chili cheese potato which was good. The chili wasn't absolutely awesome but it was good. The following time I tried the philly cheese steak potato which was better than I had expected.
