I was unfortunately underwhelmed with the food. Had the garlic parm turkey leg which was overly charred which made the bark extremely bitter . In addition, it was dry, chewy and way too salty. I did not taste any garlic or parmesean. For the sides, I had the baked beans which were ok as well as the green beans (a bit better). The muffins were dry & the cinnamon was more prevalent than the sweet potato flavor. Lastly, ferl free to skip the pineapple frozen drink. Opt for the regular lemonade. Not a good first time experience but I will try them again for a shot at the wings in another flavor. Not too soon though. All in all, with the purchase of the hotdogs, my bill was $63.80 (15% tip included. I can count many places to spend that type of money for a much more satisfying meal. Good customer service though.

Sweet Heat Turky Leg

A friend had been eyeing Turkey on the Loose on social media, so we gave it a shot. The sides, dirty rice and green beans, were great... but the Turkey leg was just ok to me. I had the sweet heat. I liked the sauce, but the actual meat didn't really have any flavor. I didn't gather any seasoning or that good smoked taste. It was tender though. Lemonade was cool... very sweet. It's a takeout spot, but there is one high boy table with two chairs inside. Service - No issues. The wait actually wasn't very long at all for us. We were there on a weekday after work, so it wasn't very busy at all. Overall: It's worth a try.

Cute spot with updated inside decor. Room inside for one high top table to eat in. Cashier was friendly and food was delivered quickly. I decided to try the original. The meat was tender and smoky. I would definitely go back and try other seasonings. *Restaurant closes from 3-4 PM daily.

Turkey on the loose is so bomb !! I got the sweet heat turkey leg combo , the turkey leg was huge cooked all the way through and it was tender and juicy and piping hot! I enjoyed the sweet tea slushy also and the customer service was A1. I was surprised the sides were good but I got the baked beans and corn and they were both really good. I can't wait to come back and try the turkey wings and turkey ribs! This is a black business that I will support again !

This was my first time visiting. The lady in the front was very helpful. I feel like the prices are way too high but I just wanted to try it. I had to try the pineapple tea which I can say was pretty good and not so sweet. My husband had the lemonade and it was sugar diabetes. The turkey legs weren't that bad but I think they should have injected the legs with the flavor that you choose for the outside. But anyway go try for yourself and enjoy. I'm glad I got to try just because of all the hype on IG.

Jammin Jerk Turky Leg

The FOOD meets the hype! I order through the Yelp and it was delivered swiftly. I got the jammin jerk and excited to try the sweet heat.

No seasoning on Turkey leg it tasted overcooked. The rice was hard and bland, the bake bean tasted like the can beans, the tea was pineapple juice from the can nothing unique. For the money spent ($65.00) this was a bust. It was like all the food was already prepared days before and warmed up for sale! Nothing fresh about the food. Look at photos, yall be the judges d We will not be returning.

The turkey legs are so good, seasoned, & juicy. Add a corn & some beans on the side, & you've got a Very tasty dish.

Plenty of free parking and they have indoor and outdoor seating There were three of us dining but we all pretty much ordered the same thing except one person ordered the collard greens (vinegar based). A sincere apology and a willingness to make things right usually ends the conversation. Unfortunately, this experience deserves a "PLEASE BEWARE." When we arrived, we were greeted promptly, and the host seated us at a high-top table near the bar. We asked if we could move to another table, and he accommodated us without hesitation, which we appreciated. However, the new table had just been wiped down and was still soaking wet--so wet that our cloth napkins became damp from sitting on it. We had to ask someone to come dry the table before we could settle in. When it was time to order, we learned that several menu items were unavailable. Over a holiday weekend, that's understandable. What wasn't understandable was our server's response. Instead of simply apologizing, he became defensive, explaining that it was the Fourth of July, they had been busy, and one of the unavailable items was one of their staples. His tone came across as if we were inconveniencing him by asking a reasonable question. Sensing the interaction was heading in the wrong direction, I asked for his name and thanked him in an effort to ease the tension. When our food arrived, one of the side dishes was incorrect. We informed the food runner, who immediately apologized and brought the correct item. That's exactly how customer service should work--acknowledge the mistake, apologize, and fix it. No issue there. After we finished eating, our server cleared only one tray from the table, leaving the other. He then brought the check, but half of the receipt was wet. At that point, we just looked at each other. It was another example of poor attention to detail. Another employee walked by, and we asked if we paid at the register. She offered to take the payment herself, which we appreciated. By then, all we wanted to do was pay and leave. As she took the check & card for payment, she asked how everything was. We hesitated and simply said, "It was okay." She asked again and once again; We hesitated and simply said, "It was okay." She asked yet again and said that if there was a problem, she was the person to tell. Based on her tone and body language, however, it felt more confrontational than welcoming. The person paying explained our concerns: Several menu items were unavailable. One side dish came out incorrectly. The receipt was delivered soaking wet. Unfortunately, every concern was met with an excuse rather than an apology. For the unavailable menu items, we were told they had been busy and there were other things on the menu. For the incorrect side, the response was that the kitchen was busy and they could have just swapped it. For the wet receipt, we were told it could have gotten wet in the back or from the table, followed by, "Do you want us to print another one?" At no point did we receive a genuine, "I'm sorry." That's what made this experience so disappointing. Every issue by itself was minor. The problem wasn't the mistakes--it was the dismissive attitude and complete lack of accountability. Customer service isn't about never making mistakes; it's about how you respond when they happen. If you're going to encourage customers to share their concerns, be prepared to actually listen instead of becoming defensive. We could have quietly paid our bill and left. Instead, the interaction convinced me to write this review because the service felt dismissive, unapologetic, and unprofessional--especially if the person responding to our concerns was, in fact, the manager.

I hadn't been in a couple of years but decided to go back because of the amazing food that I had previously experienced as a consistent customer over the years. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed when I ordered my usual and the food tastes nothing like the delicious food that I was used to experiencing at this location. The lack of flavor and quality that I had been used to experiencing was completely gone. The food tastes like it comes right out of the can onto the to-go containers. The turkey wings taste like they had no seasoning or flavor but as if they emptied out a can of cream of mushroom on top of the turkey wings. I could not finish the meal because it was nothing like remembered. Alongside the wasting of money and time that was taken to drive to this location, it was an overall disappointment. I used to recommend this location to friends who would come in town for some of the best soul food in Atlanta, but I honestly wouldn't be able to do that now because of the lack thereof. I'm not sure if they change cooks or what, but I'm highly disappointed. Pretty much they have a table blocking the door and a couple of chairs sitting outside of the establishment , or you have to wait in your car for your food. Unfortunately, Annie Laura's kitchen has gone down horribly. As a customer from the beginning before they moved to the second location.. I wouldn't recommend them anymore to anyone.
