The work was done fine, but it was after the payment was made. The shower was leaking and I pointed it out to Edgar who said that it's a defective shower, so I had ordered another one and waited. Not only the shower was leaking, there was no hot water. He had mentioned that he will have to break the wall, this and that. After almost two weeks of going back and forth and my grandma not having a working shower, I ended up calling up my plumber who fixed the issue. The issue was with workmanship and where the installation wasn't done correctly. After paying the plumber $300, I finally get a message back from Edgar saying that he is sending someone and since this isn't a workmanship issue, I have to pay him $300. So pretty much, the job done was fine, but the mess I had to deal with after paying him was not End of the day, my grandma suffered and I had to spend additional $300 to fix a workmanship issue caused by Edgar and his team.

I called a number of companies to seek an appointment for an evaluation of my situation and an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it. Harris promptly got back to me (only one other company returned my call) and we made an appointment. The estimator soon came out and evaluated my basement troubles. Developing an estimate took a few days - longer than expected - because he wanted to share the unique aspects of the problem with the company's owner, Tim, so they could best figure out the ideal solutions. I was happy to wait a few days for them to have more time to really think about the problem and what would be best: better than some "one size fits all" fix that wouldn't fix my basement problems. They determined what they thought would solve the problems, and that that it would be simpler (and more cost effective) than they originally thought. I hired them (I eventually had one estimate from another company - they came out after a few months; their estimate was much higher, $-wise, and they wouldn't be able to start work for a few months anyway). While there was a bit of a wait, given their other jobs, I got the work done quickly. Their employees were professional, and friendly, and really cared about doing great work. In the course of the job, they realized that the original plan wouldn't work out in one way, and again decided on a cheaper, more "conservative" respond to the problem which saved me money. All and all, I think Tim Harris and his crew really were just interested in solving my problems in a manner that would be effective and reliable, and at a fair price. Oh, my basement used to be a horribly disgusting place - dirty and dank! After what they did, it's now nice!! We can store things down there and the kids even have a play space. So my house has gained a lot of workable space because of what they did. And it smells better too! My only regret here is that I didn't know of them 10 years ago! If I had known about them then, I would have had a lot less frustration and expense along the way!

The one this company installed in 2023 quit working in 2024 after the one year warranty expired and I had to pay $1,000 to have another one installed. March 2025 the dehumidifier quit again. I called and they sent a technician out here and he said the company no longer uses those dehumidifiers. He inferred that they are of substandard quality and if I purchased another it would be quite expensive. He checked the dehumidifier and said my electrical outlet had switched it off. So, I paid an electrician to replace the outlet with one that doesn't automatically switch off. The dehumidifier continued to quit working. So, I asked an HVAC company to come and check it out. He said the dehumidifier is fills with water and cuts off because it isn't draining properly. He emptied it out and said it hadn't been correctly installed. He said it needed a condensation pump and the tubing needed to be replaced. I tried to reach someone at Crawlspaces and More and for weeks never received a return call. I finally received an email from Jim and he said he would come out and make sure the dehumidifier was on and charge me $200. I told them to forget it. I called a reputable company and they installed a very nice dehumidifier and replaced the door to my crawlspace. Ours was wood and rotted because it was decades old. They said Crawlspaces and More should have replaced it to thoroughly encapsulate the crawlspace. The new company installed a custom fit door that is air tight and sealed. I would not recommend Crawlspaces and More.

He educated me on the problem (and I say this as someone who doesn't know the first thing about carpentry) and then essentially showed me it was an unnecessary repair. He said he could fix it for a certain number, but it wasn't necessary. The man saved me thousands of dollars and earned my trust. He clearly knows what he's doing. I know who I'm calling the next time I need any wood or bathroom work done. I'll also add he emphasized he didn't mind small jobs at all; a very helpful thing to know. In July, I discovered that we had serious wood rot issues and reached out to several contractors. Ezequiel was not the least expensive but I recognized immediately his absolute dedication to doing quality work. Oddly, he doesn't put his contracts in writing and normally that would be a nonstarter for me ... especially with fronting half of the $ up front! But I reached out to former customers and you just get a sense of Ezequiel's integrity when talking with him . We shook hands on the deal and it was one of the best decisions ever. Ezequiel told me up front that I likely had additional wood rot that I hadn't yet discovered. Our upfront deal included replacing all the cosmetic (not structural) wood rot on the house, building brand new shutters, and painting the house. Structural wood rot discovered wood be separate. He did indeed find major structural wood rot and his price to fix that was very fair. I really feel that someone without Ezequiel's integrity would have gouged me on that. I was so pleased with the work that we did another handshake deal to build out a screened in patio under my deck. Overall my wife and I are thrilled with the work and recommend Ezequiel to everyone.
